Cozy, Clean, Fun Cottage in Little St. Germain!

Reviewer Comments: This nice, two bedroom cottage was quite comfortable and it came equipped with plenty of kitchen ware if you decide to cook and serve meals as we did. Beds were comfortable too. Single bath with tub shower worked well and had a few nice north woods touches. Cottage has a fire place for cool evenings, but we decided to build our own fire in the outside fire pit... nice touch that each cottage has their own area. Overall, nice little beach for the kiddos, play set and other lake areas to just play and relax. Added plus, you can walk down the road to Saint Germain's restaurants and shops. Overall a great little VRBO! Only caution, the paths and walkways are a little uneven and difficult to navigate... be careful and bring a flashlight at night.

Basic cottage. Close proximity to the lake

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Checkin is easy with an electronic lock at the door with keypad. The cottage is basic with some amenities. Simple things like coffee filters are missing. The beds were comfortable and the heat worked well. For summer, there are plenty of windows to open for a breeze. There is a nice size deck for sitting with cheap plastic furniture. Overall we have stayed here for 15+ years. However that may change. The management has turned from a resort feel to a corporate feel. What do I mean....the reservation software sends you countless unneeded emails. Wood for the fireplace used to be free now you need to pay for it. The boat we order (and paid for a FULL day rental) showed up at 4pm. While it was newer, it was a striped down model...and we paid a premium price. All in all, there are plenty of options in St Germain, it may be time to try something different for us.

The cottage was clean and had all we needed for our week stay. We also had our boat staying in a slip right outside our cabin which was very convenient. We will be definitely be returning to Hiller’s Pine Haven.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in this cottage since 2005 when it was part of a family-run resort. Now it is individually owned and is managed by a vacation properties company. We did see some improvements inside the cottage which was good. I must say the grounds have suffered in "upkeep'. The beach is getting overgrown, weeds are growing in the cracks of the boardwalks and steps. Grass areas are not being kept up as they were when it was family-run. The kayaks are very filthy and worn as they are not kept on the racks as they should be. Unfortunately, I fear that is the way it is when many properties are managed by a company and not a family who runs the business.

Squirrels aren’t fun

Reviewer Comments: We had a problem with a squirrel in the cottage and could not get any help from the office, could not get matentace , person answering the calls said what do you want me to do i just answer the phone . We were stuck outside for three hours until the squirrel went back out the fireplace chimney.

Great Location!

We came to ride the bike trail. Excellent location to get to trail. Great view of lake from front window of cabin. Restaurants & grocery store located close to cabin, so easy to find food.
