What a BEAUTIFUL place to just relax and unwind! The cabin itself is amazing and where it's located is even more so. All you can hear if you're outside is the mountain stream across from the driveway making that porch a little slice of heaven for sure. Just an all around amazing stay!

SPECTACULAR!!!

This place is incredible! Absolutely beautiful cabin nestled deep in the woods. A small creek out front allows you to hear running water all day and all night. Porch swing on the front porch accompanied by rocking chairs made that area my personal fav. Very remote, so if you’re one to get bored easily I suggest bringing some dvds along. Kitchen is stocked to the gills. Honestly the only thing you need to bring is yourself. People will mention the driveway, I’ll just say if you have a large truck you will not be making it. EXTREMELY tight turns, having said that most cars will make this with no issues. All in all, the best place I’ve ever stayed for a price that doesn’t break the bank. BTW, Lauren is fantastic about giving details and making this process quick and painless. Thumbs up all around; we will be visiting again soon!!!

A Perfect Mountain Escape

This was the absolute best place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the world. I did get in at night upon arrival, but the directions provided made it very easy to find even in the dark! I also do drive a 2WD Jeep, and I didn't have problems getting up to the cabin, but I would highly suggest taking a vehicle that can handle a few bumps in the road! It was nothing short of picturesque -- I will be thinking of those quiet moments drinking coffee on the porch swing, listening to the stream and the roosters down the way, for many, many years to come. Watching the sunrise come up through the fall colors was simply magical, and I'm sure it's as beautiful any other time of year. This truly is the place to go if you want a cozy hideaway. I came alone and had a truly wonderful experience -- I've already told a few friends of mine that they need to make a return trip with me as soon as life allows! I really truly cannot recommend this little cabin up on the hill enough.

the historic Helene stay

okay except oven did not work on Bake. Oven door will not open without lots of manpower. Extra toilet paper (2 packs) were both partially eaten by mice or rats. Could not use toaster because had dead roaches in bottom. The drawer in bathroom had a mouse bed in it. Clearly has not been cleaned and checked lately. Had to leave a day early because of flooding from the storm. Glad I did purchase insurance. Lost all cell, internet and TV Thursday night. The small stream looked live a roaring river. The road into Whittier was blocked by firemen because it was under water. Will not stay at this property again. Oh! I have photos to backup my comments just in case. Joe

Simply Perfect

Our stay at Mount Rush-no-more was simply perfect! The cabin is everything you need, quaint, cozy, and rustic. It's everything you'd wish for in a mountain vacation. As others have mentioned, the road to get there is a little bumpy, but just take it slow. Besides, there's no rush! We loved sitting on the front porch swing listening to the creek. The cabin is so high it feels like you're in a tree house! The sofa and beds were comfy and kitchen has everything you need. We enjoyed not having cable, and got to do family game nights every night! Activities nearby within 30 minutes that we did and highly recommend: tubing and hiking at Deep Creek is a must (only $6 pp), zip lining, white water rafting, walk around/shop in Cherokee, and definitely explore, explore, explore the Smokies (Clingman's Dome is breathtaking)! We built many cherished memories during our short one week vacation that I will hold in my heart forever! Lauren and her family were so wonderful. We had a small accident and they went above and beyond to make sure our vacation didn't skip a beat. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay in the peace and quiet that accompanied this beautiful cabin. The cabin was extremely clean. I could’ve stayed on the front porch swing for days reading my book and listening to the creek! We will most definitely be back! I highly recommend!

Very pretty

Beautiful property and cabin. I loved the open floor plan. Very roomy in my opinion. Fully equipped kitchen. Nice size bathroom with shower/tub.The ride up is rough is some spots. We drove up in a Honda Accord and made it, in a lower gear, carefully. If the path was smoothed down a bit where tires have created divets on both sides, creating a bit of a lump in the center, it would be easier for vehicles to make it up there. That aside, it was very beautiful, very quiet, loved that simple things were provided like drinking water, and other little things that you often have to tote with you. We had a wonderful overall stay. Thank you!

Great Smokey Mountain Getaway!

This was a really sweet cabin, comfy and cozy and very well equipped for our six night stay in mid September 2024. The cabin is about 5 miles off a main road and the last mile is gravel, so it was slow going with our AW Subaru. We thought it would be okay, but we would recommend an SUV or a car that sits a bit higher. The bedroom is more like a loft so there are almost no places where you can stand to full height. Taller, larger, less agile individuals may have difficulty managing the steep stairs to the loft and scooching sideways along the wall to get into the bed. We did fine and we are older adults, but I am short and thin, and my husband is also slim and agile. I would highly recommend a very deep cleaning of this cabin. We don't expect a cabin in the woods to be perfectly clean, but this cabin needs help, especially high touch areas, counters, and counter appliances. The oven door was very difficult to open and was very greasy and grimey. The owner might want to check up on their cleaning service. Sometimes guest are not reporting this and the owner is unaware of the problem. Otherwise, this is a great, affordable spot!
