Wonderful Stay

What a wonderful stay at Poliflora! The apartment was beautifully decorated and very close to town. The amenities were as expected with Futura being a gracious and accommodating host. We will definitely stay again next time.

Monticchiello as a place is fantastic with great shops and restaurants. The people of the village are so friendly and welcoming. It is the best place to visit in all of Italy. A Wonderful place to Explore the Val d’Orcia

The apartment is located right in the beautiful and scenic village of Monticchiello with a market and choice of excellent restaurants within a 5 minute walk. It also makes for a convenient and central location to the villages of Montepulciano, Pienza, and Montalcino. Futura was a wonderful host and the apartment was warm and cozy.

Superb Apartment

We really enjoyed our stay. Futura and here family are super cool and helpful hosts. The apartment has everything you need and a lot more to offer. There is a garden with figs and herbs. Monticchiello itself is a lovely village. Besides good restaurants and a small grocery store you find astonishing views. We would come back anytime.

Amazing

Absolutely lovely location, amazing hosts, and beautiful apartment. 100% recommend Poli greeted us and even made reservations for us while we got settled in. Flora was very helpful and communicative from booking until she came to say goodbye to us when we left. The location is perfect for seeing a great number of area communities (wine tasting in different regions). The apartment is walking distance to a market and several restaurants (even a Michelin restaurant). We will definitely be visiting here again.

Perfect home base for touring Tuscany

This first floor apartment was perfect for two couples. The bedrooms are separated by the living area and each has its own bathroom. The furnishings were comfortable with many nice decorating touches. It is an easy uphill walk to historic Monticchiello. A small grocery is right across the street. Poli and Flora were delightful hosts. Many of Tuscany's historic towns and villages are an easy drive from this property.

Exceptional Host

We arrived to a lovely big basket of fruit and a homemade cake. Futura then came in person to welcome us and give us suggestions of things to do in the area. She arranged for us to attend a cooking class at Daria in the village. The cooking class was SO much fun and awesome food at the restaurant. Futura answered any of our questions promptly. At the end of our stay she came by to wish us well. Truly an exceptional host. Would highly recommend for anyone to stay here.

Fabulous Trip to Tuscany

My adult son and I were traveling and found Poli/Flora to be an exceptional place for our 4 day stay in Tuscany. Our host was extremely helpful - even before we arrived - giving us suggestions for our visits. She even made dinner reservations for us for 3 of our evenings. She invited us to the Liberation Day celebration in Monticchiello which was quite an event. The apartment was very clean and her mother had made us a torte! The landscaping around the building was full of beautiful flowers. We had everything we needed. Thank you!

5 Stars would be ten if they were available, we loved our short stay here, and would recommend this to everyone. Located a five minute walk from the historic and charming village centre of Montichiello, this is a perfect spot for visiting Pienza, Montalcino, Montepulciano and don't forget Bagno Vignoni for the free thermal waters. Although part of a contemporary property, the apartment is full of charm and character, very tastefully furnished and in excellent condition. Well equipped overall, both bedrooms have en-suite, Wi-Fi and parking out the front, everything we wanted. The most beautiful Mantovana cake and fresh fruit from the garden waiting for us on arrival, and the owners were wonderful, very friendly, made us very welcome and couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommended, we'll definitely stay here again :-)

Above and beyond our expectations

It was our first trip to Italy and we arrived a day late because our flight was canceled. We were hopelessly lost because a friend had put in an incorrect address in our GPS but the host was gracious and understanding even though we kept him waiting for almost two hours. All our stress melted away in this lovely villa that had everything we could have possibly needed and more. The grounds were charming with herb gardens and fruit trees. I highly recommend staying here, easy access to just about anywhere. We visited Siena, Pienza and then headed for Asciano for our son's wedding for three days before heading home. Hospitality with a capital H Bravo

A great place to stay

This was the cutest little apartment! The owner was great, met us on-site and walked us through. They even had a homemade tart waiting for us along with some basics! The place is small, but we didn’t need anymore room since we basically just slept there. The only negative thing I have to say is that the beds and pillows were hard, but that is a personal preference. The town is about a 5 minute walk uphill. A steep uphill! But the walk home was all downhill so not so bad! It was a beautiful, charming place to stay. I would most definitely stay there again if I was ever back in the area. Thank you Futura for such a pleasant stay!

Sehr guter, netter Empfang und liebevoll ausgestattete Wohnung

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit und haben uns in der Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles, was man braucht und mehr als wir erwartet haben, war vorhanden. Futura und ihre Familie sind sehr aufmerksame Gastgeber. Der mittelalterliche Ort Monticchiello ist fußläufig schnell erreicht, die Aussicht von dort auf das Val d’Orcia ist traumhaft, gleich von der Wohnung aus können Rad- oder Wandertouren angetreten werden.

Beautiful apartment in Monticchiello!

I stayed at Villa PoliFlora with 3 friends for a week and we had the most wonderful stay! I couldn't say a single negative thing - leading up to our stay communication with their daughter Futura was great, the apartment was beautiful and just like the photos, and the location is fantastic. Flora had even baked a cake for our arrival which was so sweet of her. Although Poli and Flora don't speak much/if any English it wasn't a problem at all, their hospitality was exceptional. There is plenty of space to park a car if you're driving around Tuscany and there are many other towns close by for easy day trips. Monticchiello is such a sweet town, I would definitely recommend staying here! Everything about our stay was fantastic - Futura went above and beyond to help my friend who left some of her belongings behind and sent them back to Ireland for her. I couldn't recommend staying at Villa PoliFlora more!

Villa PoliFlora is a modern residence consists of 3 apartments in total. The owners husband and wife Poli and Flora built the villa in 1988 and from there they guard with love the classic environment of the house completely surrounded by greenery, just a short walk from the village of Monticchiello in Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO site.

Poli is a dentist and motorcycle enthusiast. Like all the inhabitants of Monticchiello, as a hobby he plays in Teatro Povero (Poor Theater) every summer. Room Poli in pastel colors is accessible from the large porch, entrance also of his office.

Flora is a nurse and collector of succulents. The greenhouse adjacent to the Villa has more than 300 specimens. Room Flora in light colors is part of the apartment with access from the garden. Poli and Flora are lovers of animals: dogs, cats and chickens are part of the family.

Futura, the only daughter who lives in Siena with her partner Alessandro and the daughter Gaia, has a degree in foreign languages and is responsible for managing reservations.
