The cabin was in a peaceful, secluded location. We enjoyed the sound of the nearby stream trickling at night while we sat on the porch enjoying the cool night air. Carol kept the cabin clean and well organized. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying there to our friends.

Carol was lovely, very welcoming. The house was exactly what we were hoping for. Close enough to nearby activities and stores but very secluded. The kids loved that they could sled right in the yard. The only thing I would note, and this is not something I hold against the owner just want to point out for future visitors, there are lots of scented candles and things throughout the cabin to add to the ambiance. If you are sensitive to smells I would look for other options.

Dear Alex, Thank you both for coming to visit! Thanks so much for taking such good care of the place; refilling the wood box and taking your garbage was so helpful! I'm glad you enjoyed the fireplace, which can make a cold winter night feel warm and cozy. The log house is about to have a jotul wood burning stove insert put into the fireplace. It will have a full glass front. It will add warmth, be beautiful, and firewood is provided. I'm so excited to provide it for people to use and information on its use will be there.

This was our First VRBO experience. And the cabin was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Its exactly what we wanted . Someplace very Rural . The cabin had everything we needed for cooking , the fridge was spotless and plenty of beds for all of us. Me and my husband slept upstairs as my mother in law would not be able to do those stairs every day due to lung issues. The rooms were very clean. My son also had the room upstairs across from us and his room had a sink and toilet which I loved lol because I get up during the night so I just tip toed past him and used that one in the middle of the night ,The stairs going up are a little steep and my old dog which is a rat terrier couldnt go up and down so I had to carry him thank god he is only about 15-18 pounds. At night we used my telescope I brought because the skies there are very dark and perfect for viewing we did stay during the eclipse but it was too cloudy to see anything . but every other night was perfect viewing.Me my husband my mother in law and her husband, my adult son and adult nephew all enjoyed our week there. Hoped to see bear or moose but didnt, but did hear coyotes and fox in the woods which was beautiful. We walked to the brook and walked on the rocks and saw the Bearing trees which is where bears scratch the trees and someone paints it Red and there are signs about that on the tree.Very interesting Thank you carol & Ken for opening your cabin for others to enjoy! Hoping to be back soon in winter for romantic wknd!

Thank you much for coming, for leaving the place in such a neat condition. The sleds you left behind are on the porch for sharing with the next visitors! The day after you left, the new fireplace wood stove insert was installed. I think people will like it. A large glass front, still burns wood logs. simple instructions will be posted by the fireplace.. Wood is provided. Longer burning time, cozy! The snowfall this month is frequently covering the trees and bushes. Full winter moon, stars on clear nights.

Our favorite place

This was our second summer spending a week at the cabin. We just love it! There is so much to do in the area and the cabin itself has everything we need to enjoy our time. How quickly it has felt like our home away from home.
