We are making Paris feel like home, one guest at a time...
Why stay in a cramped hotel room when you can have all the comforts of home for less?
Charming, historic one bedroom apartment that has recently been completely renovated with love and care. Traditional Parisian stone-faced building dating from the 1920's with fireplaces in both the living room and bedroom. The apartment is located on the 1st floor (European), one short flight up. There is no elevator, but the one flight of stairs is generally manageable for those with slightly restricted mobility.
We are minutes away from the famous rue Daguerre, a typical market street packed with fresh fruit and vegetable stands, butchers, chocolate shops, restaurants, flower shops and bakeries. The local market takes place on Tuesday and Friday mornings. Lots of guidebooks and local information are at your disposal during your stay.
Some ideas for your stay: Our ideal day starts with a stop at our favorite local bakery for some warm pains au chocolat. We then head over to one the local markets to check out the fresh offers for the day. The afternoon is spent exploring one of the numerous close by attractions, Jardin du Luxembourg, Notre Dame, Opera, or the Catacombs or a visit to one of Paris' wonderful museums: Musee D'Orsay, the Pompidou Centre, or the Musee Carnavalet. In the evening enjoy some of the best and most affordable French restaurants the city has to offer or pop out to see an opera or a concert in one of Paris' many exceptional venues.
Truly your home away from home in Paris with all amenities included: Fully equipped kitchen, Internet access with WiFi, Cable TV, Electric kettle, hairdryer, telephone, stereo with CD player, etc. The apartment even offers a full library of both French and English books, including numerous guidebooks to the city and novels to unwind with at the end of the day.
Just steps to the Metro (Lines four and six) and the RER-B. Excellent direct access for Charles de Gaulle (Roissy) and Orly airports.

This apartment was a joy to rent in Paris. Close to everything with a bus stop about a minute from the front door and the train about a 3 minute walk. Lots of excellent dining options nearby as well as McDonalds, KFC etc if that’s what you want. Spacious apartment with a real bed not a fold out sofa. One small climb of stairs( it is narrow) and a small elevator to the room. I don’t know if I will ever be back in Paris but if I am this apartment will be top of my list for sure
Tara was responsive to our questions, location was easy for transportation around Paris, property was clean and nice. Lot's of cafes nearby to eat, market is across the street for basic provisions. Would stay there again.
Tara was an excellent communicator, check in was seamless. A great location away from the tourist crowds but easy access by Metro. Grocery store just a few steps away. Would definitely stay here again.
This property is great! 100% recommended. The place is like shown on the pictures, everything is very close: supermarket, restaurants, metro stations, etc.
The apartment has everything we needed and we enjoyed our stay in this place
A nice and cozy apartment, well situated ( near the subway, restaurants and supermarkets), very clean. The owner was comunicative and helpful, easy and flexible check-in and check-out. We will definitely return.
We enjoyed our stay at Chez Pierre. This was an excellent location. It is close to the metro. The neighborhood was lovely, especially the pretty side streets. There were plenty of food choices close by and everyone was very friendly. The apartment was clean and comfortable. We would come again.
Delightful apartment with everything we needed. Close to the metro, train station, grocery stores, fish market, fresh frruits and vegetables. In addition a laundromat across the street, a variety of restaurants, a movie theater and bakeries! Wonderful family run restaurant called Le Welcome with delicious reasonably priced food.
The apartment was a perfect size for us.
The rental is just as presented...very welcoming & well equipped. Tara was very responsive when we needed a couple thongs during our 10 day stay. Close to the metro & a nice neighborhood feel that is a bit away from the heart of the Louvre etc - which we liked vs being in the middle of hotel central. Compelled the teens to try their French which was good for all of us:)
Spacious apartment for two on the first floor of a hundred years old building that has maintained its character. Excellent and prompt communication with the owner who is American. Public transportation and grocery stores are a few minutes away. The neighborhood is a non-touristy area where ordinary Parisians live. It felt like our own place.
What a charming, perfect little apartment in the heart of one of our favourite neighbourhoods in Paris. Close to everything you could possibly need or want.
Tara is the perfect host: she set up a group chat with her and the gardienne of the building, Mme Machado. She responded quickly to questions and concerns, and when we ran into a minor issue, it was resolved efficiently.

Wonderful Home-Away-From-Home in Paris
I spent a long weekend in this apartment and I was sorry to have to leave so soon.
The apartment is clean, cozy, comfortable, and very quiet although situated in a lively neighborhood. There is a metro stop close to the apartment as well as a lot of shopping opportunities nearby.
The owner is very helpful, friendly and accommodating. I can't think of a better place to spend a few days - or a few weeks - in Paris... My only regret was not having more than a long weekend to spend at Chez Pierre. I plan to return for a much longer stay.
This was our third trip to Paris. The 14th arr. was a different location for us - we've previously stayed in more traditionally "touristy" neighborhoods - and it was lovely to get more of a sense of how actual Parisians live, while still being conveniently located to everything we wanted to do.
The neighborhood was quiet at night, close to very good neighborhood restaurants and a lovely traditional French "market street," with subway and bus lines practically outside the front door.
The property was the perfect size for the two of us, clean and comfortable, and only up one flight of stairs (a major bonus in Paris - if you know, you know ;)
Tara, the owner, was very helpful with tips about the neighborhood and was quick to respond to messages via the VRBO platform or text.
I recommend this property 100%! Tara was excellent at communicating from the time I booked until my stay was over. The apartment is big and lovely. The kitchen was useful for stay-in meals. The bed was comfortable. The Wi-Fi was excellent. Metro stops were close by as well as markets and grocery stores (I preferred the Carrefour to the Monoprix). The neighborhood boulangeries were excellent. I was a solo female traveler who felt very comfortable and safe staying in this apartment and neighborhood. I'd happily stay there again and really appreciated being outside of the hotels and major tourist zones. The Left Bank is beautiful and the metro makes it easy to get to anywhere you want to visit within minutes. Tara also allowed me to check in three hours early--Thank you, Tara!
Had to come to Paris to check on aging family member. “Chez Pierre” was an affordable location that is conveniently located between several metro lines. Walking to direct RER B line to CDG airport is really convenient! Place was roomy by Paris standards, will definitely stay there again!
This apartment was perfect for our needs. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen is very small but had everything we needed. Was able to check in easily and when we arrived in the AM which was wonderful. Safe, quiet area close to multiple metro lines.
Great apartment and location! Don't hesitate to book this property!
Loved this property and Tara was very responsive! Pros: easy check in, apartment as advertised, close to 3 subway stations, very quiet, and everything we could possibly need was available at the apartment. Plenty of electric fans and appreciated a washing machine.
We were leery of staying in the 14th since we had no experience there but would stay there again! Very safe neighborhood and plenty of restaurant options.
Cons: Absolutely none!
We enjoyed staying in a totally new area of Paris for us. Not at all touristy, which we like for the amenities and prices, yet still very convenient by walking or metro to everywhere we wanted to visit. There is a marvelous park (Parc Montsouris), the Cartier Foundation for modern art, Giacometti's home and studio, the fascinating Montparnasse cemetery, lots of great local and ethnic cuisine, many small neighborhood green spaces. Despite being one building off of a large avenue, it was very quiet, too. Many thanks to our hosts!
If you don't like doing the overprogrammed four things to sightsee per day and you like some downtime to experience the local vibe, this is the best place. There is only one reason for a sightseer to come to Petit-Montrouge which is the catecombes, so it is far more peaceful and low key than "downtown". Yet walking and frequent buses and subway trains are all viable options to get to the center and the sights. Chez Pierre is just off one of the main streets with lots of good neighborhood establishments. The best sight to see is Paris itself, the culture and language and shops and restaurants and magic in the air. The apartment is very adequate for two people and is on the first floor. No complaints. Lots of light. Everything functional and well laid out. A good place to come home to, whatever you've been up to. Vive Chez Pierre.
Wonderful location, close to metro/train and busses. Easy commute 15-20 minutes to the main monuments and the city center. Just around the corner a fabulous market street with cafes, fresh fruits and vegetables, cheese shops etc.,etc. Cute apartment, home away from home!
Chez Pierre is a treat for those who love Paris. Stocking the kitchen for a planned lazy start to busy days is a great idea . There are many choices for groceries and specialty items close by . Metro stations within 1 block in each direction.Multiple choices for every kind of restaurant.Large, spacious and comfortable. Would book this apartment again on a return to Paris.

About the host

We are a French-American couple that moved to the US in 2007. We wanted to be able to raise our 2 children in a bi-cultural family so we've held onto our wonderful apartment to allow us to 'go back home' once a year.
This is a photo of us on a week-end in Rome.
Why they chose this property
The apartment has an interesting history. For years it served as an archive room for the bank below. In 2000, the apartment was gutted and renovated. The location is fabulous for transport links (both within Paris and also to both CDG and Orly airports). This is a truly French neighborhood. The apartment is comfortable, quiet and has plenty of light.
What makes this property unique
We love the authentic feel of the neighborhood. While we invite guests to come and stay in our home when we are not there, this apartment truly is our home in Paris. We love to hear about guests finding a resource on our bookshelves or the fabulous meals they have created in our kitchen. It makes us feel as though we are not so far away.
The apartment is wonderful too in that is is peaceful, a respite from a busy visitor's day and yet everything one could need is within a few minutes walk.
