This is a new listing being moved over. Please be patient while I post new pics. Private suite In West Miramar Beachside home 165 steps to the sand. This is a totally self contained ground floor unit with a private entrance, two full rooms: one bedroom with king bed, one room with comfortable living room sofabed, fridge, microwave, and more. There is plenty of parking right in front of the house. No walking a mile or crossing the highway to get to the beach, it is literally 165 steps to the beach. This is a no-frills apartment with some wear and tear here and there. We have offered a no frills price so you can enjoy Half Moon Bay without maxing out your credit card. We have been offering this since 2019 and have never had a vacancy. We have moved to this platform and are looking forward to a new experience and having you as a guest.
Short walk to an oceanfront restaurant. Other restaurants and surf shop in the immediate neighborhood. 1.5 miles to town. Your stay includes complimentary soaps, shampoo, espresso and more. All bed linens are washed every stay. This is a full ground floor private apartment with a private entrance totally closed off from the rest of the home. The unit features a new bed and mattress, big screen tv, and comfortable furniture. Wifi and cable tv are complimentary. Stays of 1-2 people have the linens in the bedroom complimentary. Sofabed linens are complimentary with bookings of 3-4 people.

Very convenient location for Half Moon Bay. Walking distance to the beach and very short drive to the harbor. Walking distance to some restaurants. The property itself is good for a short stay and as advertised. Cleanliness was 8/10.

Great location. Property as described. It is a beach rental as described. We had a great time with beach very close and walked to an excellent restaurant.
Perfect location just a brief walk from the beach, plenty of room, easy check in and the perfect distance to walk up the beach to dinner in El Granada!
I am leaving a 1 star review because the owner never contacted me on the first day (or any day after) of my stay to give me the code to enter the in law unit. The description says that he lives upstairs, so I drove to the house and knocked on his door and no answer. I then called VRBO for help and they couldn’t get a hold of him. Hope nothing bad happened to him. If I had gotten some communication from him, I probably wouldn’t have left this 1 star review.

NIGHTMARE. Host was grumpy since Day 1. After the Host waited to inform me the unit was ready just 5 minutes before check-in time, I drove to the unit and upon arrival, the place looked like a DUMP. Garage door was wide open and COMPLETELY FULL of junk as well as the yard, I thought I was in a homeless area. Rental unit looked VERY OLD and run down and once inside, you could hear people walking and talking above you. Unit was DIRTY inside and LOUD. Wi-Fi service was PATHETIC at 15mbps. Tried to sleep at 11 PM (on a mattress so thin my body sunk into the frame), but it was IMPOSSIBLE due to tenants literally 6 feet above my head in the bedroom walking, talking, scraping, dropping, doors, drawers, etc. Travelocity & VRBO noted that if there were problems to contact the Host directly. Texted Host = no answer. Texted Host again 20 minutes later = no answer. Called Host = no answer. Since there was no way to sleep due to the ongoing noise above me at MIDNIGHT, I had to load up my car and drive an hour and half back home. VACATION RUINED. Host finally got around to texting me back the next morning, said that he was sleeping when I tried to reach him and that the tenants above my bedroom head "....were probably making Dinner". Making Dinner at Midnight? Host REFUSED to do the right thing and DID NOT REFUND ANYTHING. VRBO did NOTHING to help and told me work it out with the Host. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND this unit or Host. NEVER AGAIN.
Make sure to notice no sink it what is lil kitchen area . They had dirty/greasy plastic dishes. If you needed to wash or rinse anything it was in gross bathroom sink that clogged up in 5 secs (not made for dinner debris) The coffee maker did not work and we had to buy one. No fan in bedroom so bought that too. Tried communicating mid April to extend time. Right away said he has another avail for 3 night. I asked to pay and join. No response so I msgd, hello, is everything ok. His response, hello. Why wouldn’t it be. Told wait til June 1, it took 8 days for him to respond. Check back w me. 5 days and told to wait. Flew in Day from TN 6/13, I get response about 7 pm that he can’t provide another location. And thanked us for coming in late to give them time to clean. The only reason he responded was bc I messaged him saying we’ll be there late, but we are coming from Sacramento airport.The goal to thank us for giving him more time to clean. All along, I was communicating with VRBO on what was going on with this guy. They told me to send a specific msg to him and he did not respond. Finally able to say truth. This is not 165 ft from sand. It’s a block and still nice but don’t lie. Also, the people that live above do not care your down there. So loud. They have stairs they run up and down and a chair they roll across room constantly. Now, I go back to VRBO Every review I read was a lie. The place was filthy. Pics show it all AND TIME STAMPED

Why they chose this property
It is the closest neighborhood to the beach and I got one of those crazy no income loans when I bought it so I had to pull the trigger on something before the bank wised up and pulled my loan. So, I ended up with this place. I kept paying the mortgage, even during COVID because I knew nobody would be dumb enough to lend to me again.
What makes this property unique
Nothing really. I mean there are a lot of houses in the neighborhood. Its comfy. At least I think so and trust me I am paying a whole lot more to live upstairs than you are paying to stay downstairs. Like a lot. So, unless you are the CEO of the mortgage company that services this house, you can totally get the deal of a lifetime at my prices. If you are the CEO then you are double ending it but I doubt the CEO would stay here- someone who makes that kind of money could stay anywhere. But if he (or she, seriously) stayed her he (again, or she) would be even richer because my place is a money saving deal.
