We hosted our family and friends here for our garden of the gods micro wedding. It was absolutely perfect and even adaptable for our reception when it rained! Thanks for having us!
The house was gorgeous and perfect for our wedding reception. Trash was a little backed up when we arrived but it was fine in the garage and probably kind of unavoidable. We loved the location, decor, house, and everything about the woodland escape.
Great place to host multiple family gatherings. Our 3 families enjoyed the property to the max—inside & out! Close proximity to so many hiking trails, parks, etc. A highlight was seeing a bear at a neighborhood property. Far enough away to make this an EXCITING event for them!
Great house with a lot of space to spread out and do your own thing. Feels like you are miles from everything yet you are really close to everything you might need.
We had our wedding at this property and it was absolutely perfect and beautiful. Our family stayed for the weekend (8 adults, 1 child) and there was so much space and everything you would need for your stay. The day of the wedding we had 35 people total at the property and it was so spacious and a great property for hosting. Neighbors are close nearby, but it still has a secluded feel. Communication with host was always prompt and clear. We very much loved our stay and was the perfect spot for our small wedding!
Was the perfect size for our large family. Great location for the attraction we wanted to see and do in the Manitou Springs/ Colorado Springs area. Road up to resident and driveway alittle challenging but we DID it. Concerned about no central air but don’t worry cools off every night. Wouldn’t HESITATE to stay again if we should return to area.? Even saw a Bear in the back yard twice along with several deer, squirrels and array of birds.
Host was extremely welcoming. Everything was clean and the host even got the hot tub corrected from the weather lately and had it ready before we even got there. I would and will be recommending this property/owner to anyone who asks. We were there for the Men's Advance at Charis Bible College and it was the perfect home for us.

Thank you, Robert! We appreciate your kind words and recommendations :)
Our family of 17 loved our stay. We had so much room and so many things we needed for a great three night stay. Kitchen was great and we enjoyed fixing meals for our crew. Very comfortable stay.
Gorgeous and roomy. It is very much a mountain home with all the pros and cons. We had snow day 3 and difficulty getting up the hill. The property manager was swift and efficient with getting everything plowed. My daughter had a beautiful wedding!
We had a great time staying at the Woodland Escape. The house fit our family perfectly and we enjoyed the outdoor amenities - especially the covered porch on the rainy afternoons. The location was perfect and close to all the sight seeing we wanted to do. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!
We absolutely loved the accommodations and location of this home! It was perfect for our large family and close to all the things we wanted to do. Highly recommend!
Actual home: was spacious and clean. Full kitchen was nice and had everything you’d need. Appreciate that they had towel paper holders everywhere for ease of use. No working ice maker so I had to make my own ice. Window screens would have been nice for all windows bc there was a lot of flies entering the home. Hot tub was also nice. Downstairs bathroom had horrible tub drainage though.Garage room: needs a mini fridge to store drinks and breast milk as we had an infant. Overall room was good. Bedframe seemed a little loose and was squeaky getting in and out, bed was ok, blankets were nice and fluffy. Wished the door was also keypad accessible so that anyone could of gone in versus having to use a key. And the walkway needs to be more lit or have solar lights so you could see where you were walking especially down the stone stairs. Dryer was a little wonky, as some said it was too hot, and some say it didn't dry and gave a AF signal. Pay attention to the driveway. It is gravel and we went during the nighttime and didn't know to go further up to turn the car around to enter the driveway from the right side. My brothers drove low cars and had to get some wooden boards to help the drive over the driveway with the big gaps. Recommend higher clearance cars for the roads as it has deep ditches. Overall, large beautiful house, and fit everybody and definitely utilized the kitchen to cook the meals.
