Perfect get away house for small family and dogs

House was clean and welcoming, with a very large fenced yard that was great for our pups. Great location close to the pier, beach and downtown area. We will for sure be booking again.

Cute little cottage with a nice yard. Have stayed here before and it’s always clean and comfortable. Owners are very friendly and accommodating.

Terrific Fishing Getaway

Great Little Getaway!

House is super cute & clean! Well appointed & accurately depicted. Hosts truly though of everything guests might need. Great fenced yard that our dog & her humans enjoyed! This was the best 3 day vacation I’ve ever had. Close to the beach/water/pavilion area, grocery store, restaurants, etc. The house was so cute and very clean. I had no issues at all. I would definitely rent this property again in the future.

We have never used a VRBO before. The past 12 years we were in a motorhome. This house was charming and had everything we needed. Good restaurants and for me- fishing. Weather was good. We definitely will be back again. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy your vacation home.

The house was cute and the neighborhood was fairly quiet.The bed was real comfortable. The living room furniture was a little worn out. Washer and dryer was an awesome convenience. The kitchen could use some updating. Some new cooking pans and less clutter. Had a nice relaxing time.

Family Memories - Old and New

From the booking process to questions answered, check in to checkout, this property was a dream. Dale was quick to answer any questions. Everything imaginable was stocked and ready to use at the house. My adult son came with me and my granddaughters at the last minute, making our stay even more memorable (watching the funcle with his nieces kept me in laughter). My parents had lived in Palacios, 10 foot from the water for 15 years, which made me wonder if we’d be disappointed. 100% we loved it! Making new memories while remembering old memories made for an (almost) perfect trip. (If only the fishing had cooperated.) Book this little gem, you’ll be glad you did.

Fishing Getaway

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Margerum Manor. Everything was ready and the place was clean and as described. The yard is spacious. I caught 7 redfish at a place Dale recommended for wade fishing, so that was outstanding. Palacios is a fisherman's delight, but we also had a good time driving to nearby towns and Matagorda Beach. Recommended!

Why they chose this property

My family moved to Palacios in 1909 and have been present in Matagorda County for generations so, after spending many weekends a year for years fishing in Rockport and seeing the traffic building and overcrowding/choking the Bays there. When I decided to get a Second Home at the Coast, I naturally chose Palacios for my connection to the area and the uncrowded Bays.

What makes this property unique

The home is just two and a half blocks from the "South Bay" Boat Ramp & Marina the new Palacios Pavilion, Fishing Piers, Jetties and Bayside Beach & Park. Palacios is a small community so most everything you need is just blocks away
