It was an excellent place for a family vacation a little disappointed about getting down to the river but the pool made up for that. I will definitely will consider it again

The stay at Buenas Noches was relaxing with a beautiful view. The pool was fantastic, and the grilling area is top notch. Mike is a fantastic host and very responsive. We would definitely come back!

Property was exactly as described and Michael was so helpful and communicative. We were there at the end of July so the river was a little low and slow so didn’t do much on the river but really enjoyed swimming in the pool, feeding the goats, playing pool, playing horseshoes, and playing the board games we brought. We went in to Mineral Wells to go on a tour at Crazy Water which was awesome and then did some shopping and got lunch in town, which was fun and delicious. We never even made it to Lake Mineral Wells! We’d definitely stay here again.

Great getaway from the city noise. Upon arriving this ranch felt like another world, quiet, serene and very beautiful. When we arrived Mike met us and showed us around while explaining the area. Very nice gentleman. The house was great with an entertainers living room. The pool was the main attraction for our 3 boys, that's where we were most of the stay. The walk down to the river wasn't hard at all but might be for some older folks but very worth it. They had kayaks and a canoe ready for the guests to use. We saw some nice size alligator gar rolling in the water While the boys and I fished from a pedestal rock. The ranch as a whole was an awesome vibe. The amenities were there, great showers and restrooms as well as kitchen and fridge. There was no need to leave the premises other than groceries or just to explore the town. We fed the goats and horse one of the days it was such an excitement for my boys. We will definitely be back when in town again. Thanks Mike for the hospitality .

This a beautiful property. It is clean and well maintained. You can relax by the pool or enjoy kayaking in the river. The views are great. The owner answered any questions we had and followed up during our stay to ensure our time there was going well.

We loved staying at Rancho Buenos Noches. The property was comfortable and relaxing and had a feeling of seclusion, even though we were so close to town! We regretted not bringing a Roku stick, as the TV was not a smart TV, but we enjoyed playing games and talking! We will definitely consider a return trip!
We had a visitor on our last night at the pool!

Hi Tirzah: Thanks so much for coming out. It was a pleasure meeting you. I have to say, in regards to your review, I have no idea what a Roku stick is and I’m actually quite happy that I do not. Believe it or not we did not even have TV or Wi-Fi here until about two years ago. And now to be told that my TV, which has I think a round 1000 channels is not a smart TV is a bit of a revelation to me. And not the good kind. Long story short, I tried to offer everyone a property in which TV, Roku, or otherwise is the last thing anyone ever thinks about. lol hope to see you all again sometime. Mike

Fun times we had on the river. Calm, relaxing, nice place that all can enjoy. We had some young teen boys and they didn’t say they were bored once! They loved it. They caught all types of fish and never once asked for their phones. We all enjoyed the views, the pool and hot tub, and the covered patio area. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend for a family getaway.

Base Camp on the Brazos

Our stay coincided with the hottest week so far in Texas. Mike, the owner, was super friendly and helpful. The views were great, accommodations nice, and pool was refreshing. This was a great location to base out of while we explored the surrounding areas (Possum Kingdom, Mineral Wells, etc).

Relaxing trip

Great location with river, animals, and near the fossil park. Beautiful view of the comet. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. No Wifi, but you can get a few bars of cell signal outside.

Nice country getaway.

Great views from above the Brazos, but cliff-top location makes for freakishly high winds! Don’t go in March! Inside was very comfortable, and the boys loved the pool table.

Honeymoon location

We had a wonderful time on our honeymoon here! The hot tub was clean, and worked great on cool nights and hot days, the house was clean and tidy, and the property manager Sharon is fantastic! She's quick to respond to any questions we had, and was very friendly and informative, but we never felt crowded and had the entire place to ourselves! Thank you for giving us such a memorable time!
