Stunning View of Ensenada Bay

A whale breached right in front of our eyes on the first visit to our home, so we named it Casa Ballena, Whale House. Off the beaten path, house sits on a bluff-top spot offering breathtaking 180 degree views from Ensenada to Todos Santos Island. The house is fully stocked, WIFI, satellite TV, fireplace, hot showers, and a user friendly kitchen. Big glass doors and windows give great views from all rooms, and the expansive L-shaped patio outside with a gas grill lets you soak it all in in style.

Open living room and kitchen with soothing blue ocean and sky views. Moroccan rugs, original art. The master has a king bed, en suite bathroom, large closet. The second bedroom has full bed, queen bed, large bathroom. Wood is provided for fireplace. Overhead fans in all rooms. Outdoor gas grill. Beautiful garden, bird feeder to attract quail, scrub jays, doves, board games and books.

And of course, the blue water and sky view all around you that makes Casa Ballena peaceful, yet an energizing home away from home.

Unbelievable bluff

Excellent luxurious accommodation. You feel like your on top of the world, fantastic views. We were only two nights but we will plan to return. About 25 mins to central Ensenada, we’ll worth the extra drive.

Casa Bellena was easily one of the best properties I’ve ever stayed at in Ensenada. We are regular visitors and Kim’s house was absolutely outstanding in every way. The views are absolutely incredible with floor to ceiling beauty from every room. Amazing panoramic views both day and night, truly instagram worthy. From the high end appliances, down to the brand names of the soaps, everything is so well appointed and tastefully placed. The welcome bottle of wine and the thoughtful handwritten notes truly made us feel at home, after a long drive. I would blindly book this venue and not even think about it. We’ll be coming back for sure!

We loved our stay. We wanted to check out of the city and check in to tranquility. The home is airy, spacious, bright and the views are worth a million. The design is very thoughtful, two large bedrooms and two full, spacious bathrooms on opposite sides of the living area. Showers are enormous. Each room and living room has remote contolled, high quality ceiling fans that cool everything down quickly. We we're lucky to have amazing weather, 89 degrees, which we did not feel inside with the fans running. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. Towels and comfortable linens are provided. The terrace has lounge chairs, BBQ and a charming bird bath. I have never been to Greece, but this home is as close as we can get in Baja. White washed inside and out, Cobalt blue door, Saguaros. Easy to find also. Once you turn in from highway and go through gate you see Casa Ballena. There is a nice man that takes care of the traffic coming in and out of the neighborhood, he has a unique system for opening the gate, you won't have to leave your car. The Bufadora is close, just South five minutes. We look forward to returning. The only problem with Casa Ballena is leaving....we loved our stay! Many thanks.

Casa Bellina is a hidden gem in Baja

Owner is extremely easy to work with. The pictures do not do the casa justice I’ve stayed at places all over the world and this is one of the cleanest nicest you’ll ever see especially in Baja. The most spectacular views you could ever imagine We felt very safe and secure during our entire stay I would recommend this place above any in the punta banda area. Thank you again we will be back soon

I grew up in Arizona but spent every summer in North County San Diego. After graduating ASU, I moved to Texas and founded 2 Montessori Schools - my passion is Early Childhood Education. My other passion was to live near the beach, which I finally accomplished 15 years ago. Gratefully, I now live in Leucadia, Ca! Passions 3, 4, and 5, in a mixed order is our grandchildren, traveling and gardening.

Why they chose this property

Five years ago we visited a friend that lives in Baja and fell in love with the area. We found the perfect house, Casa Ballena, for the view, but also that it had tons of new space for us to garden.

What makes this property unique

The view from Casa Ballena fills the house with ever-changing light. From afar we get to see ships come and go through the bay to the Ensenada harbor. We can watch whales, dolphins, seals, and fish boils from the house and the deck. At night the lights of Ensenda twinkle across the bay. And the sunrise is epic.
