About this property
The Angler | Dog-Friendly Log Cabin, Hot Tub, Pond
Summary:
Tucked among the trees, "The Angler" is a true log cabin built in the spirit of early Appalachian homesteads—simple, rustic, and full of character.
This is not a large or luxury cabin. Instead, it offers a more authentic experience—cozy spaces, handcrafted details, and the kind of charm that comes from stepping back to a simpler time. The cabin comfortably sleeps 6–8 guests, making it a great fit for families, fishing trips, or easygoing groups who value experience over excess.
The Space:
Inside, you’ll find warm wood tones, a lived-in feel, and the essentials you need to unwind after a day outdoors. It’s the kind of place where boots stay by the door, stories get told a little longer, and no one’s in a hurry.
Step outside and you’re surrounded by 8.5 wooded acres, with room to roam, relax, and enjoy the quiet of the mountains. While The Angler offers its own sense of privacy, it’s part of a small, tucked-away cabin village, giving you access to shared fire pits, open gathering spaces, and a laid-back, communal feel—without losing your own space.
Whether you’re heading out to the nearby Ocoee River, exploring local trails, or simply enjoying a slow evening by the fire, this is a place to unplug and settle in.
The Angler Layout (Sleeps up to 8):
• Bedroom 1 – Queen bed (main floor)
• Bedroom 2 – Full bed (main floor)
• Sleeping Loft – 1 Full bed + 2 Twin beds
• Full bath stocked with towels, soaps & body wash

✔ Fire Rings & Firewood available

✔ Stocked Fishing Pond (bring your own poles and bait)
And yes — you’ll likely meet “Rona,” our friendly Welcome Dog, who guests absolutely adore.
Located near Ocoee whitewater rafting, hiking trails, waterfalls, and mountain adventures, this is the perfect basecamp for families, couples, and small groups.
Come experience the charm, adventure, and relaxation of Copperhill — and book a stay your family will remember for a lifetime.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The property was ready when we arrived, very clean, and the owners were there to greet us. Bonus was the beautiful location!
This location is an excellent getaway to feel remote while being minutes away from town. The cabin is very spacious and the fireplace and wall units provide ample warmth. We were cozy and content during our stay! Overall, our stay was perfect and provided all needed amenities. I hope to come back and stay again in the future!
Cute mountain cabin, gorgeous location!
Just need a fly swap in the spring for carpenter bees, and no coffee pot to use pods in. Checkin/Checkout was a breeze.
Would return for another visit!!

Leah,
Thank you for visiting, we do have carpenter bee's in the spring. They can be a nuisance. We choose not to enter into chemical warfare with them. We do have our cabins treated monthly for pests but the normal pest control routine doesn't do a thing to the carpenter bee's. They can be intimidating but thankfully they don't sting. As listed in the property description, we do provide a Mr. Coffee coffee maker and filters but we do not provide a pod machine. Hope to see you back again soon!
The owners were sweet and extremely helpful. We asked them for recommendations for exploring in the area and they did not disappoint. This was our sons senior trip with his family and he had a great time. The cabin is cozy and clean. Lots of exploring to do outside. The loft was nice and our kids had a great time. We will definitely make this a vacation spot again.

This property is perfect if you are looking to get away and spend quality time with the family. Super easy check in process, beautiful cabin and property. Upon arrival, we walked into the cabin to see fish food on the table to feed the fish on the property. Our daughter was so excited she saved a little for each day. We loved it and it was exactly what we needed.

No water for half our stay
Everything was perfect and clean. The owners are nice people. Our water went out due to a main break in the middle of the night and never did come back on. We weren't offered any compensation for not being able to use the bathroom, shower or even a drink of water. They apologized but we might as well have saved our money and stayed in a tent near a water source. I know it was not their fault but some kind of compensation would have been nice. Maybe a discounted future stay or something. We wont be going back.

We are so sorry about the water line break, sometimes things are just beyond our control! We do our best to avoid any issues like this but sometimes things go wrong. We would be happy to offer you a discount on your next stay, please come again.

Can't wait till next year!
We were a small group wanting a cabin to stay in while we white water and zip lined. It was just by chance that we chose the company right at our exit! So we were within 5 mins of our rafting company. The cabin was beautiful! The owners checked in with us and kept everything going great!
Ideas for our host: a clothesline for wet clothes/towels to hang, hooks outside of the shower to hang a towel, a fan for upstairs (there was on for each of the downstairs rooms but didn't have one for upstairs, and I loved my box fan! There are hanging fans that did a wonderful job!) The cabin has beautiful greenery around the back door but left little room to get in and out of the car. Our cabin was on a hill and we could not back into our driveway. Backing up to leave was very hard because the drive coming up was so steep and narrow road left very little to work with leaving.
Thank you for a wonderful stay in cabin #1. We made wonderful memories that we will have forever! See you next year!

Thank you, Amy! We loved meeting your family and are looking forward to seeing you again next year! The shrubs next to the back door are going away soon! It's been on our to-do list! Thanks for the suggestions, a clothesline would be a great idea and I will definately add some hooks outside the shower!
Hope to see you soon!
I highly recommend this place. This was a great place to stay. Everything that was advertised was spot on (no hidden secrets). Can’t wait to come back, next time we’ll try to rent more than just one cabin.

Hi Bo,
It was great having you visit. I'm sorry we didn't get to meet you in person, we were both under the weather and didn't want to risk transmitting an illness. Please come back anytime!
Had a blast in this cabin! We wanted a quick getaway where we could see mountains and streams and have a great time while doing it. The cabin was cozy and had everything that we needed to cook and grill. We will definitely be returning to this cabin in the future!!!
