About the host

We love the beach life and immersing ourselves in the wild sandplains of Chappy. Unplugging is at the center of our time on the island, but we also understand the value of a work-life-leisure balance and recently upgraded our internet to accommodate those looking to work remotely while enjoying time away from the grind.

I'm the daughter of the original owner and grew up spending summers on the island. Chappaquiddick is dear to my heart and provides much-needed respite and ocean breezes when my family needs a break. I'm a science teacher in Vermont and I live and play in the high hills of Vermont. My kids and I love all adventures outside, we are avid skiers and bikers, and as soon as the snow melts we make frequent trips to Chappy to put out feet in the sand and work on house projects.

Why they chose this property

You'll love the porches, breezes, open layout, and big backyard. The ocean air sweeps in from the NE corner of the house every day. Crack the master bedroom window and enjoy a salt air wake up to start your day. We have reliable locals who clean the house, and a trusted caretaker on Chappaquiddick who remain on-call should anything arise during your stay. Cleanliness is of utmost importance, so you can relax and focus on settling into an island rhythm.

What makes this property unique

Unbeatable star gazing; quiet; lots of crickets; comfortable hammock; outdoor shower; gentle breezes to warm, cool, and nurture your soul.
