We loved our stay at HBR. We could not get enough of our balcony view! Our host Dave was communicative and ensured a smooth check-in by preparing us with all the related resort info. The room is conveniently located to the lobby, parking and restaurants on property. It was our first time to Kauai and we are so glad we chose HBR - the property is stunning.

You will not get a better view than the units at Hanalei Bay Resort! From the sunrises to sunsets and all day in between, it felt like being in heaven itself. Situated in a beautiful neighborhood to stroll, with a quiet beach and gorgeous pool, we were thrilled.Dave was responsive and helpful, and even called me before our trip to provide restaurant recommendations and weather details - so kind! Staff is kind and helpful and keep the grounds meticulous. We greatly enjoyed getting to know the many species of beautiful birds, especially the nenes and the lizards. There are many places to walk and sit to take in the view. The unit we stayed in had the most comfortable mattress we've ever slept on, and had everything we needed; we were very happy there for our 10-day stay. Laundry is just a short walk away.The only downside for us was that the restaurants(s) and fitness center were closed as a result of storm damage. Of course, that can't be helped and we hope they can rebuild and recover, but we did not know that until we arrived, and both were things we'd been counting on using daily. Instead, we travelled a bit for food, and found it hard to see while driving at night! But it did not take away from our wonderful, paradise trip! We hope to come back someday!

The unit was amazing, we could've spent the whole trip on the balcony looking at the view and been happy! The resort is nice, easy access to pool and parking, the beach is a bit of a walk but they have a cart option. A 10 min drive to the Hanalei beach. We would definitely stay again!

Overall experience with booking, checking in and checking out with smooth. The view from the Lanai is gorgeous. The comfort of the bed you feel like you’re sleeping on clouds. Dave had it all hairdryer, iron, beach equipment. Due to the restaurant at the resort parking in the evening can get crazy, but don’t worry the valet will find you a spot. The beach access isn’t super close (within walking distance) but it’s still very convenient. All you need to do is call the front desk and the golf cart will pick you up and take you down the hill to the beach, which is a beautiful beach. The grounds at the resort are beautiful with breathtaking views everywhere. And don’t forget to watch the sunset on the grass area by the top tennis court.

Beautiful resort

This was such a beautiful resort! Loved the grounds and the path to the beach. The view from our room is probably the best on the island. Highly recommend staying here.
