We are pleased to offer you our family cabin on Big Trout Lake for your summer rental. One of the best locations on the Whitefish chain. Beautiful views. Cabin was updated in 2018 with new siding, flooring, windows, large deck, and AC/Heat. Extended dock for boats, swimming, and relaxing in the sun. Each of the three bedrooms has 2 twin beds. 1 bath. Washer & Dryer. There is a Smart TV and Wifi for those rainy vacation days and can't miss events you might want to catch while enjoying your vacation.

Family Pets are welcome (+$100) & the VRBO Property Damage Protection policy is required for vacationing pets.

Please do not use the inside fireplace.

There is no trash pick up. Please be prepared to haul your garbage away. There are directions for drop off in the guest binder.

Absolutely loved our stay!

Great communication with the owners! The drive in through the wilderness set the tone, and we were greeted our first night by two curious deer right outside the window. The cabin was spotless, cozy, and stocked with everything we needed. We explored the area, shopped in Cross Lake, and enjoyed fantastic meals at Ox Lake Tavern, Norway Ridge Supper Club, and Mad Rabbits. But our favorite moments were on the deck, coffee in the morning, wine at sunset, and endless lake views. A perfect, peaceful getaway!

Great cabin, great location

The Whitefish chain of lakes can get pretty busy, but this cabin is located in a fairly secluded area of Trout Lake. Everything about the cabin was great. It was quiet, good lake access, and very clean. The owners were very easy to work with.

Perfect trip up north with family!

Everything about the cabin was fantastic! Great view, good fishing, and great dock to park a pontoon. Parking the trailer to the pontoon was a little tricky but we made it work. We will definitely be back!

Our Great-grandfather purchased this land long ago to build cabins for his three sons. Our grandparents owned this cabin and now we are the fourth generation of our family entrusted with the piece of Trout Lake history and are excited to offer this freshly refurbished yet very original pristine cabin on the north shore of Big Trout Lake, Mn for your summer enjoyment.

Why they chose this property

Southern views from the north shore of Big Trout (the gem on the Whitefish chain!) equates to extended hours of sunshine! Big Trout is a wonderful recreation lake for swimming, boating, fishing, sailing, kayaking, SUP and more. You are opposite the lake from channel traffic, but if you're a boater the channel to the Whitefish Chain gives access to many lakes, marinas, restaurants and Dairy Queen!

This property boasts an extended dock that reaches past the shallow grade. No drop off here which makes for great swimming and peaceful raft floating.

The knotty pined interior, log cabin is set on a peaceful, pine-lined lot. Enjoy your meals on the round oak dining table, or even better, the newly renovated deck. Bring your food and beverages and the amenities are turn-key - vacation ready!
