New Kid in Town, Lake Wawasee , 2 Bedroom Condo Channel Front with Boat Pier

A picture paints a 1000 words but memories last a lifetime. Why not make lifetime memories at this beautiful condo located on Lake Wawasee. This channel front condo is located on the northeast side of beautiful Lake Wawasee with a partial view of the main lake just across the street. When leaving the channel you will enter Johnson’s Bay one of the most popular ski basins known for water sports. If you would like to sit back and relax with friends and family then the sandbar is just a few minutes away by boat. The condo consist of a queen size bed in each of the two bedrooms, a queen size high rise premium comfort airbed with a built in motor that will inflate or deflate in less than 4 minutes and can be placed in the living room. There is a full size couch and loveseat in the living room to provide enough space for you and your guests. The kitchen is supplied with basic utensils for cooking. The unit is 700 Sq ft and is Ideal for a small family or a few friends for a weekend or longer duration getaways, I will allow up to 6 persons. I also have two other properties adjacent to it and posted on this site VRBO property ID # 482084 & # 602555 so if you have a larger group you may consider renting one or both of the other properties as well subject to availability. There is propane or a charcoal gas grill by the back door for your personal use as well as a fire pit. There is a front-loading stacked washer/dryer so you can do your laundry without leaving and going to a laundromat. Basic linens will be provided but it is advised that you bring your own beach towels.

For any questions regarding availability (including off season) or if you have any general questions please contact me. Lake getaway sounds great but you don’t have a boat. No problem!!!! We have a Tritoon pontoon that maybe available to rent (subject to availability) the pics are in this listing. The pontoon is only available to qualified renters for additional cost, please email me on VRBO for availability and rate inquiry. There are several other marina's in the area where you maybe able to rent a watercraft too.

*The rental rates are subject to change without notice prior to you confirming your reservation. There may be an additional surcharge on the rent if it includes a long holiday weekend . I may consider other custom monthly or off seasonal rates. I also have two other condos on the same property VRBO # 482084 & ID # 1365563 so if you have a larger group you may consider renting one or both of the other two and I maybe able to offer a discount if they are available and depending on the time of the year. I also have a golf cart and kayaks for an additional price please inquire.

Wonderful host

Our host was very responsive and pleasant to work with. They checked in with us and made sure we had all we needed. There were plenty of towels and supplies for our use. The location was great, just a short ride down the channel to the lake. The outdoor space was perfect for relaxing outside!

Dirty place. All the guys we stayed with got bit by bugs/ spiders inside the property. All the paddles were lost for the lake toys, stains on bed sheets. Was told we would get a ride on the pontoon boat, but that never happened.

Wawasee fun

The location is really nice. The unit we rented didn't have central air, just a wall unit that was rather noisey so the we shut bedroom doors and during the one rainy evening we had, the kids had the TV cranked way up to hear it. Overall a good property that was very clean.

Long Weekend at Wawasee

We had a wonderful time at New Kid in Town. Anjum was a great host - even helping me drop the boat in the water and allowing us to keep the trailer on property for our stay. It was great being on the channel - keeping the boat safe from the wave action on a busy weekend - while still being on the water. Having a gas grill just outside the back door worked great for cooking out, and the fire-pit area was perfect to sit and talk. We will be back!

Family Time

My family enjoyed a great time together even though the weather did not want to cooperate as much as we would have liked. The property premises is clean and very well cared for. The kitchens and bathrooms are very nice as seen in the pictures. The owner was extremely generous in providing parking spaces for my adult children’s vehicles and also for boat trailer (off-site).

Maybe it was just because it was off season?

The owner was very friendly and helpful. Idon't doubt that they will rectify everything in this review. But with that said, the property could use a little work. There were a lot of cob webs and the sheets and blankets were not clean. The instruction sheet left was from what looked to be a lease and had personal notes written on it and none of the important information was filled out. There were dirty cups in the cabinet with lipstick stains and we only found one keurig pod in the cabinet, would have been nice to have some coffee given the price. I'm assuming it was just because it was off season and they probably weren't expecting guests. Great potential, but again, for the price we expected more.

Canal side retreat opening onto a wonderful lake

Communication with the owners was 100% perfect. Info was sent well in advance and any issues/questions I had were answered w/in minutes. We ran into two of them one night and they were lovely. Fabulous for being able to pull up our boat and park it right outside on a calm and little trafficked canal. We happily utilized the hot tub and fire pit - we even used the side yard to set up our own badminton net, which was fun. The house itself was adequate for our needs regarding size and comfort and it was well cleaned. Downsides: Mosquitoes were out in force! The dryer took 2-3 cycles to dry a single bathing suit and three "towel" cycles to dry a single towel - something needs to be looked at there. The soap dispenser of the washer was in need of a significant cleaning as well. Very loud (but also effective) air conditioners in the LR and a BR. There's also a large VERY soft spot in the floor right outside the bathroom/on the way to one of the bedrooms. Bath exhaust fan was useless. Overall we were very happy, but there's room for improvement.

Great experience for first time on vrbo

My new husband and I booked a couples honeymoon trip with our friends. Communication with anjum was great. The place was clean and in good shape. He even let us take his boat we rented early... would definitely reccomend!!! Thanks for making sure we had what we needed Anjum. We had a great time!!!!

Great weekend away!

This was a completely problem free experience from start to finish. Communication with the owner was great. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. We did not use the tiki bar, but I'm certain that would have been great as well. Our only complaint is having to leave and go home. :)

We were only able to stay one night but the owner was welcoming and flexible with our change of plans. We will definitely be back with our children and boat. I loved the coffee!! Thank you! One addition, wine glasses but I know if I asked the owner he would have ran some of his own over.

We had a nice 3 night stay at this property. Enjoyed the fire pit! Kitchen and bathroom have been newly redone. The beds were comfortable. My only comment would be that the kitchen is not very well stocked, if you want to do much cooking.

Amazing place with direct lake access

Our stay was very enjoyable. This place has everything you would want. We were able to dock our boat right next to our unit. There is a cove from the main lake that takes you to this place. We grilled each night. We had a fire each night as well. The place is very quiet and the people are all very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely choose this place for your family vacation.

Quaint Lake Getaway Experience

My mom and sons and I so enjoyed this little canal-side getaway. Everything in the apartment was new and decorated just right. Owner was very kind and generous, especially in this stressful time everywhere! We sat at the fire, enjoyed the hot tub and relaxed in cozy living space watching TV. The spot is beautiful, with lake behind us. Thank you for a wonderful getaway!

Why they chose this property

This property is ideally situated , it has a Channel on the back side with a 120' Pier to park your boat almost at your doorstep , A huge courtyard so you can play yard games , relax by the firepit , possible access to the Tiki Bar with a High Definition TV and a rocking sound system and a Hot tub use subject to owners approval. The Main Lake is partially visible as it is right across the street and access to it is a short couple 100 yard distance. As soon as you get out to the main Lake you in the most popular Ski and Wakeboard basin on the Lake. If you want additional action the sandbar is about a 10 minute ride where you can dock and step out of the boat and socialize , swim or just walk around the shallow sandy bottom of the lake.
