Angler's can try their luck bottom fishing for reef fish including species such as red snapper, grouper, amber jack and trigger fish. Trolling for blue marlin, sailfish, yellowfin tuna, mahi mahi and wahoo is another option. The Destin Fishing Rodeo runs the entire month of October.
The Gulf of Mexico and the beautiful emerald coast of Navarre beach is only a 10 minutes drive. Take a walk out on the Navarre Beach fishing pier and catch a sunset or drop a line. At 1,545 feet it's the longest fishing pier on the Gulf of Mexico.
