About this property

Central AC system installed 2021! Short walk to beach, Kitchen remodeled 2024!

Located less than two blocks from the beach, the property backs up to green acres. With a private front entrance, the entire second floor is yours to enjoy. You have a living room, dining room, large kitchen, three bedrooms and one and a half baths. Sliding doors provide easy access to the rear deck that runs the length of the house. A natural gas grill is on the rear deck for outdoor cooking. There is an outside hot/cold enclosed lighted shower to make the return for the beach much easier. Beach cart, umbrella, and beach chairs are provided for our guests use. The first floor tenant has his own private rear entrance and patio.

We upgraded the kitchen in 2024 with a new counter, sink, and the cabinets have been painted. A new electric stove was installed for the 2023 season. The kitchen has a center island for seating for two and seating for six at the dining room table. The master bedroom contains a large king bed, the front corner bedroom has a king bed and the third bedroom has two new twin beds. The house backs up to green acres so there are no homes behind us. The shared washer and dryer is located on the first floor, access is from the side of the house.

New central air conditioning system was installed in 2021, with a whole house media air cleaner. The flooring was upgraded in 2019 in the kitchen, dining room, living room and hall. We have recently painted the living room, dining room, kitchen and hall. The half bath off the master bedroom has been updated with a new vanity and tile floor. There are five ceiling fans to help cool the rooms. located in the dining room, living room, and the three bedrooms. There is off street parking for two cars. Check in is 4pm and checkout is 10am.

The house has been in our family since it was built and we will be updating the interior each year. We do not allow any pets; some of our family members are allergic to animals. No party groups or smoking is allowed in the house. Rental period is from Saturday to Saturday. The fireplace is non operational during rental season. Linens are available to rent in Cape May.

Had a wonderful stay with my family in Cape May. The house was great, very comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is also great, both close to the beach but very quiet and serene. We loved watching the butterflies in the garden and listening to the crickets at night.

Nice cottage near the beach

The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful, clearly wanted to do everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. We loved this neighborhood and quick access to the beach. With a few tweaks they are working on I would put this at a 5 for the price point.

Very nice accommodations in an excellent location

We overall were very pleased with our stay at this comfortable and conveniently located property a couple of blocks from one of Cape May Point's best and quietest beaches. The house is well furnished, air conditioned with an effective central air system, and the kitchen far better equipped than most rentals. Also of note, the outdoor shower is a good one. The property backs up to a wildlife preserve with a large back deck overlooking the woods. We would recommend the property and consider returning.

This beautiful home is in a remarkable location in Cape May Point. It has everything that we needed. It was very clean and very well stocked. The kitchen was clean and had updated appliances. The huge deck out back was private and looked over trees. I especially enjoyed looking at the monarch butterflies on the butterfly bushes! The very best part for me was the location- the beach is at the end of the street! This is a very well-kept property. We had a great time here!

Cape May Memories

This property was all we hoped for...only a 5 minute walk to the beach which is so large and well kept..it feels like a private beach. We rented Kayaks and a Paddle board from Aqua Trails Kayaking. This company was so accommodating and helpful! They delivered and Picked-up the toys to our address free of charge. Highly Recommend! The kitchen was so well stocked we did not need a thing. The house is very clean and comfortable. The outside deck was wonderful in the evening and we grilled all week. We will definitely be booking next year. Thank you Mike and Beverly for being fabulous hosts.

Great location, Felt Like Home

The place was really comfortable and felt like home. We had everything we needed and the house instructions were very helpful. The beach cart was a great touch. Perfect location, too. A quick drive or bike to most of Cape May, including the downtown. The porch off the kitchen and master bedroom was well-used and provided a lovely area to eat, relax and enjoy the sounds of birds and the surf.

Excellent accommodations at Cape May Point

We enjoyed our stay at the property. It is very conveniently located close to the beach, and accommodated our group of four adults and two kids. We enjoyed the deck with the grill a lot. The beach cart, umbrellas and chairs, provided by the owner, made our visits to the beach a lot easier.

Why they chose this property

The home is for the family looking to spend quality time together or to get together with friends for that summer getaway. The home has a large back yard with no neighbors to the rear of the property. The beach cart makes it an easy walk to the beach with beach chairs and umbrella. Relax on the back deck after a day at the beach, the outside barbecue is ready to grill your dinner.

What makes this property unique

If you are looking for a quiet week at the Jersey Shore, away from the crowds, traffic and noise, Cape May Point is for you. It's location as a natural refuge at the most southern tip of NJ makes it a birder's delight, as a stop over for hawks and other birds. We are a short ride to the Cape May and the Wildwood boardwalks. There is great fishing on the Point beaches or fishing boats out of Cape May. On a calm day, kayakers will enjoy being on the ocean with dolphins.
