It was fun to stay on an organic farm. Mark was a great host and was really nice to let us walk around the property see the gardens, horses, cows, and chickens. We also bought sourdough bread and cookies from their farm kiosk. The place was nice and clean and we sat outside late into the night looking at the stars - which was delightful. It was an easy distance to Lost Maples and we would definitely stay again.

We immediately felt like we were back at out grandmothers home , everything was so welcoming in the house, with games galore-Bring your favorite DVD to watch or CD and enjoy the incredible night skies with silence all around. Having the property to explore with the horses coming around was so idyllic and charming and the short ride to Lost Maples enabled us to enjoy breakfast before our day of hiking. We hope to come back with more friends to enjoy this charming retreat. The farm offers great organic goods at their stand such as homemade breads , fresh eggs, veggies , soap, and loofahs made from their crop . Thank you Mark for opening your property to us and showing us around . Such a memorable weekend!!

We had a very enjoyable stay at this charming property set in a wooded area close to an organic farm. Mark our host was a pleasure to deal with. The spacious accommodation was just what we needed and being able to explore the farm was a bonus. The kitchen worked very well and the king sized bed very comfortable. All in all highly recommended.

Hosts Mark and Nancy were gracious and accommodating. The cottage is precious and so cozy, but our favorite amenity was the night sky with a rare view of the Milky Way! We appreciated the offer to explore the beautiful property and truly enjoyed doing so. We’d love to stay again in the future!

This was our second time visiting this property and will not be our last. We love it. It is very serene. The night sky is amazing out here. And the little fresh produce stand at the front gate is a nice option for those who like to cook at the cottage.

Fantastic private getaway

We rented the guest cottage for my bridal team and I the night before my wedding. Access was very easy, cottage was very spacious and private. Also extremely clean! Very much enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!

Peaceful Weekend Retreat

We wanted quiet and this totally fit the bill. Great base for hiking in Lost Maples and Garner State park. The place is simple but clean and comfortable. We loved our weekend on the farm. Exploring by day and star watching from the patio at night.

Family getaway

Beautiful area.It was the perfect size for a family of 5. Enjoyed walking to see mama cow and baby calf each morning. Played board games provided and enjoyed the disconnect from our daily routine. Thank you for a comfortable stay.

The farhaven guest cottage was a wonderful stay! Clear instructions to get inside, very safe area. The cottage was very clean and welcoming upon arrival. I loved the beautiful dark skies at night for stargazing, and getting to see the animals on the property! Very peaceful and serene place. Mark and Nancy were very communicative and quickly fixed an issue I had with the coffee machine. Great location for visiting the state parks in the area, or just enjoying some peace and quiet at the farm!

Quiet Getaway in the Middle of Hill Country

This was our second visit to Farhaven and we enjoyed it just as much as the first! Our kids enjoyed seeing the animals on the farm and hearing from Mark about the animals and his beekeeping. The property is quiet and relaxing. The cottage we stayed in is always clean and well kept.I highly recommend you check out Farhaven to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.

Nice tranquil home away from home

Amazing property. Kids enjoyed watching the cows and livestock. Stars at night over property breathtaking. Fresh eggs for breakfast. Really nice place yall have. Host super friendly and made sure everything was good for our stay. I would recommend.
