4 acre lakefront property in the heart of the white mountains on Rainbow Lake. Fish, swim, kayak, or just relax at a cool 7000 foot elevation in the heart of Lakeside-Pinetop AZ. Enjoy a beautiful vintage cabin with incredible hand made sandstone fireplace, a huge redwood deck with wrap around seating, and four fenced acres to let the kids and dogs run free. A truly unique Arizona high country treasure. Co-owner lives in small cabin nearby in case of issues but does not intrude on your guest experience . Keyless entry codes are given to guests,
The white mountains are Arizona's premier year round outdoor playground. There is snow skiing at Sunrise Resort, Arizona's largest ski resort. There are alpine lakes and streams for fishing, boating and camping. There are hundreds of miles of hiking trails to explore. There is abundant wildlife including elk, deer, antelope and the rare gray wolf.
In the Lakeside- Pinetop and nearby Show Low there are many excellent restaurants antique shops, and venues to explore.

Ruby's is an amazing property with wonderful lake views and plenty of wildlife. It is so peaceful and the cabin gives you all the basics you need to disconnect from the daily rush. Our 2 dogs had plenty of room to roam safely and our 2 boys had ample room to throw the football, run around, dig in the mud and make structures from the frozen pieces of ice they found near the lake's edge. I could spend many days and nights sitting on the porch and watching the lake! Nights are amazing necause the sky is clear enough to see all the bright stars!

My husband, puppy and I spent Christmas to New Year’s at Ruby’s cabin on Rainbow Lake. No snow but we had a fantastic time and the accommodations were great. Our dog loved watching the geese and ducks off shore and running around in the fenced 4 acres property. Nearby hiking was plentiful and the trails are very well maintained. We discovered Lotus Garden and had the best Chinese food I have had in a long time, especially in AZ. The cabin is well appointed and the wood burning stove keeps things cozy. You can tell the owners love their cabin and it has been in the family since the 1950s. The owner is easy to reach if needed. Just a perfect getaway!

Peaceful Retreat

This was our second time at Ruby’s cabin, and we cannot wait to come back next year. We’ve stayed at quite a few cabins in the area, but this by far my family’s favorite.My daughter loved feeding baby geese, kayaking, and just hanging out in the hammock. It’s a gorgeous setting, the cabin itself is nostalgic and charming, and the owners show real pride in the property.Thanks for another amazing stay!

Another amazing visit!

This was our second stay at Ruby’s and like the first time it was incredibly relaxing. We and our two dogs felt very welcome and the cabin has so many nice touches. The deck is awesome and the view of the lake from the cabin beautiful. We are looking forward to our next visit. Shari and Jim are great hosts.

Absolutely had the best time here

Wanted a cozy fishing area to stay in, this place did not disappoint. Row boats to go fish in the lake, lots of land for the dogs and fam to roam, cozy house to setup a fire and eat smores. Total package here. Will be back.

Rainbow Lake Weekend

It was our second trip to the Ruby Cabin. We just love it. So peaceful and beautiful spot right on the lake. We took our large dog, she enjoyed running around the property and wading in the lake. Had some nice conversation with Jim, one of the owners. Looking forward to our next visit!

This place is fantastic! Nature all around and very private, the deck overlooking the lake was the best. We never turned the TV on, everything we needed to see was outside or on the lake. I've stayed in many places in the area and this was the best!

Lakeside paradise

Beautiful vintage lakeside cabin just steps away from the lake. Relaxed in the rocking chairs watching the sunset from the huge deck overlooking the lake. Loved all the ducks, geese and heron too!

We enjoyed ourselves it was very roomy the dogs had a great time with the fenced in yard they got to run free and they really enjoyed it the restaurants up here are very good we ate at Darbys twice for breakfast and the food Went to Charley’s steak House and the food was wonderful there too.

Great cabin on the lake!

My wife and I spent three wonderful days at this cabin. We have two dogs, who loved checking out the critters and the lake. The fact that the site was large yet fully enclosed was a real plus for us. Other places may have a fenced in area behind the house, but here the dogs could enjoy the entire property with us and did not need to be leashed.
