Excellent oceanfront views! Centrally located on Oak Island, Altamarea is convenient to local activities, shops, and restaurants, as well as the bridge leading to historic Southport and its numerous shops and historic points of interest.

Two flat-screen TV's (one in living room and one in loft), one DVD player (located in loft), wireless internet access. Large dining table seats eight, with additional bar stools at kitchen counter. Outside shower with hot and cold water, oceanfront covered porch with furniture.

So whether your idea of a vacation is taking long naps in the island breeze, exploring local landmarks, or teeing up for 18 holes at one of the area's playable but challenging golf courses, you will find your island home at Altamarea!

Nice quiet beach. Fairly easy access to beach.

Very adequate. Plenty of linen and towels. Kitchen stocked well. OIC very helpful. Refrigerator slightly small and didn’t cool very well.

Family Getaway

Great location, easy access to beach and local shops and restaurants. Loved the family games, porch for morning coffee and boogie boards for the beach. Be weary of the nails sticking out of boards on the walkway, the grill should be replaced because the grates are worn and we had to cook on aluminum foil, not all the burners on the stove worked… but all in all we had a very enjoyable stay!
