For Galveston area beach this is the best place we've stayed! They have a lot of beach supplies and a wagon to make it easy to walk to the beach. It's beach front but is a walk on the jetty over a natural area where we enjoyed seeing fireflies in August! Beach wasn't over crowded and it's a cute well stocked condo with a host that communicates well. Plan ahead if your family eats late, you're outside the convenience of restaurant areas. Some of the amenities close at 6 so you aren't able to bike or use the courts after that time.

Pros: cleanliness, host responsiveness, amazing views! We loved the balcony. Great for our young family. We rented a golf cart through a company that the complex recommended and visited both sets of pools (large pool, hot tub in each). A few drawbacks listed below, but my non negotiables were satisfied. The beach equipment to borrow was a fun perk! Cons: the WiFi was glitchy, tv not reliable, elevator broke twice while there (including the morning we left). Tips: wear insect repellent! The mosquitos were everywhere (especially on the bay side). The gift shop had lots of essentials, and Dollar General is just a 15 min drive. Everything else “in town” on seawall is about half an hour, so try to remember to do a grocery haul at Walmart or Kroger on your way in. Onsite restaurant had basic casual American food that was good but pricey.

Best view of the gulf

Such a great stay for our family! Wonderful view to wake up to and plenty of toys/chairs provided to enjoy a full day on the beach with the kids. We would absolutely stay here again!

We recently took our 5 year old and 1 year old on a trip to Pointe West. PW came highly recommended by a family friend who had stayed. PW was fun to have access to and a great perk! The Pointe restaurant was nice to have access to in a punch. My family LOVED Sunset Beach pool/lazy river (easy drive) and appreciated the Beach Club pool as well. I do think if we went back we would rent a golf cart for convenience alone, the walks were hot and hard for my little family (but doable!) The condo was perfect for my family- had all of the cooking utensils needed (we stopped at Walmart on the way into town for groceries as a pick up- heads up it takes FOREVER), bedroom set ups were great & my kiddos loved the balcony. I appreciated the ability to do laundry and wash our beach stuff- super convenient! I loved that there were beach toys/chairs/a wagon already there, that was super helpful and appreciated! Nancy was easy to communicate with and made sure everything went smoothly for us. We had Joan at PW Rentals set up a beach canopy and chairs for us each day and that was a huge perk!!!! We did our first day off of the Beach Club board walk and decided day 2 that Cat Tail was closer (esp with kids!!!) Overall a fantastic young family vacation for us & great memories were made! Thank you for everything!

Great place for a family beach getaway!

The condo was clean, well decorated, and had just about everything we needed. The owner was quick to respond to any questions I had. We enjoyed the pool and the beach was a quick walk. The provided wagon and beach chairs were very helpful! We would totally stay again!

Great weekend getaway!

Fantastic property with great amenities! We really appreciated the well stocked kitchen, cart to get stuff up and from the unit, and beach equipment to include cart and chairs.

Wonderful Stay

We really enjoyed our stay in this condo in Pointe West. The condo was clean and comfortable, perfect for our family getaway for Thanksgiving. We would recommend this unit and look forward to staying here again in the future.

Wonderful Vacation

We have stayed in this condo several times over the last couple of years and always enjoy it. The condo is very clean and always has everything we need for a relaxing stay. I would highly recommend both Pointe West and this condo for a great stay on the west end of the island.
