The cabin was beautifully clean and comfortable! It was very comfortable and we loved being able to go there with out pooches! The beach is beautiful and we spent night by the fire pit behind the cabin. It's in a great location right between Manistee and Ludington. The hosts were so kind and responsive. They even left us a little coffee cake on arrival! Definitely want to book again!
The cabin and property were exactly as described and included everything you needed to have a wonderful experience there. I can’t say enough about the views. From the peaceful Pines in the backyard to sitting on the deck in the front yard to walking on the beach or watching the sunset on Lake Michigan. The views were stunning. The hosts were very responsive with any questions we had. I would highly recommend this property!
We had a delightful and relaxing time at this cabin! The hosts were very courteous and everything was clean. The property and surrounding area were a beautiful and quiet escape.
We loved our stay at the cabin! It took us back to a slower and more intentional time together. The short walk across the street to the beach was incredible! The secluded beach was incredible and made me reflect on the Goodness of our Lord! What an incredible trip! We hope to be back to enjoy this beautiful piece of creation!
Little Bear is everything you could want and more. My husband and I took our four legged son up for a long weekend. We wanted peace, quiet and the beach… and we got even more than that. Cabin is perfect sized, has so much included plus little thoughtful touches. We’ve never taken our dog on a vacation with us and to say he had a blast is an understatement. We can’t say enough about the views (from the cabin and from the dune overlooking the lake) and to have our own personal beach front was just the icing on the cake. Yes, there are a lot of steps to the beach but look at it as your exercise for the day. Plus, the lake access is worth it! We literally have nothing to critique. It is exactly as listed and more. 100/10 would recommend.
We really enjoyed the cabin and the privacy. I usually don't book pet friendly places as I find them not as clean. However this place you could not tell. Its the cleanest cabin we ever stayed in. Especially with the proximity of the beach. No sand was inside the home. I really enjoyed how well stocked it was with a closet full of games and books. There were condiments in the fridge, leftover staples in the cabinet, plenty of coffee and sugar, toaster, tea kettle and toaster oven on top of a standard 4 burner electric range and oven and charcoal grill. Wood next to the fire pit. Plenty of utensils and place settings. Lots of instructions due to the nature of the wiring and extra items for your comfort, dehumidifier and room a/c units. Plenty of toilet paper and cleaners available. Very generous host in sharing this space and their set up is appropriately decorated with the bear/ cabin theme.Approximately 90 steps down to the beach. The view was lovely just a short walk across the street to the main property. I was nervous that it might be awkward as I really like being secluded while vacationing. it was well set up. They even had a wagon available for hauling your beach supplies. Town is 6 miles away about 13 minutes due to the roads. Some dirt, some winding. Very nice restaurants to try out & a historic downtown. We even saw the largest sequioa tree east of the Rocky Mountains just at the north end of Manistee. Turkey, herons & deer were seen in the neighborhood
The Little Bear Cabin in Manistee is a wonderful vacation destination! My sister and I enjoyed the cleanliness of the cabin! We enjoyed the patio with a fire in the fire pit and the secluded area by the forest! Would most definitely want to reserve this cabin again!!
The cabin is perfect-sized for a family or group who want an escape up north. It was great, would absolutely stay there again!
