Enjoy Lake Michigan water views in this sweet summery cottage, and stroll across the street to a secluded stretch of walkable sandy beach! Grab a chair and umbrella from the provided beach cart and enjoy an afternoon of sunning and swimming with no crowds! Cottage is set on a wooded double lot along scenic Lakeshore Road, just 3 miles north of downtown Manistee. Enjoy a well stocked kitchen, quality bedding and comfortable furniture. Enclosed sitting room with lake view, open floor plan living/dining with electric fireplace, portable A/C unit in main living area and window unit A/C in back bedroom. High speed internet and TV with streaming access. Lake view deck off master bedroom and fire pit in front yard with water view. No wake shallow inland lake (Bar Lake) just around the corner-- bring your fishing poles and kayaks!
Note: Lake Michigan water levels are no longer an issue -- the beach is beautiful!

We are lifelong Michigan residents, and we truly believe there is no better place to live and to vacation! When we're not working in southwest Michigan we're in Manistee, walking the beaches and breathing the fresh lake air. We're excited to share our cottage with you!

Why they chose this property

This property has a lake view without the beachfront price. Access to the lake is within a few hundred feet. Private neighborhood water access points-- you'll likely have your sunset view entirely to yourself! And yet, it's a 7 minute drive to town. It's the best of both worlds.

What makes this property unique

Manistee is a quiet beachfront town that goes unnoticed by many. The numerous public beaches are uncrowded and FREE. Charming Victorian downtown with a riverwalk and a drawbridge where you can watch yachts and freighters come in. Fireworks over Lake Michigan on the 4th of July, and a Victorian Christmas parade in the winter. Fish the many rivers/ lakes, ski Caberfae, or, better yet, stay put in your beachside home. Our cottage is unique in that it offers you access to a secluded stretch of Lake Michigan, without the lakefront price. The public beaches are nice, but a secluded beach across the street is even better!
