Georgette (Coco) has lived in Prescott since the mid 1970s. In the past, Coco has been a business owner, operating a large consignment store off the Courthouse Square. She and her husband Steven built this Casita in 2002, and occupied it until just recently, having completed construction on a new 1200 sq. ft. home. It has always been our plan to retire in Prescott and run a vacation rental property.

Arizona has many varied landscapes, from the Sonoran Desert to the Ponderosa Pines. Prescott is situated at approx. a mile in altitude, and as such is the most temperate spot in this beautiful state. Always a good 20 degrees cooler than Phoenix, yet with only a couple of light snow days a year, warmer in winter than Flagstaff.
We bought this property because of its location in downtown Prescott, adjacent to Granite Creek and close to all the things that one needs to access, like restaurants, entertainment, shopping, library and the beautiful grounds of the County Courthouse Square. The property is one half block from the trail head for the Granite Creek Trail, which leads through downtown, providing access to Whiskey Row and the Courthouse Square, and ends up at the former Prescott RR Station where you will find Walgreens, Sprouts, Chipotle's and many other fine shops within walking distance.
