The unit was not a penthouse as advertised. Also, prior to booking, I inquired about balcony furniture to which the owner confirmed that there would be furniture available. However, there was no balcony furniture for the duration of our stay, even after requesting it the first week. The couch was uncomfortable and stained. The elevators were slow and majority of them were under maintenance. The alarm system was tested daily. There was a showing for the unit without prior notice which resulted in strangers walking through during our stay.

Our experience overall was great. Communication was awesome from booking up until we checked out. The location wasn’t too far from everything we had planned. I would just say the parking garage was a little hassle going in and out due to our vehicle size.

Good location may be the best feature

The apartment was in good condition overall. However, there was some cleanliness issues in the master bathroom.Also, there was no curtains or shade on the sliding doors in the living room. This made sitting in the living room very difficult as the setting sun was very bright.

A ‘STARK’ Disappointment – Not as Advertised

Some Positives First: 1) Owners met us as promised and answered questions 2) Owners were responsive to the questions we had after arriving – made contacting them easy 3) Unit was clean (except as noted below about the dishware) 4) Most of what I discuss below was beyond what the owners could ‘solve’ during our stay… was an issue of expectations vs. reality – Should be addressed before others stay at unit Advertised as a Penthouse – 1) It is 5 floors below the top floor 2) States in Ad “Sorrounded (sp) by Water views” – there are NO views of the water from the unit – you have to go on the balcony all the way to the end to see any water – which is between other buildings. 3) States in Ad “balconies with 360 views” – How is this even possible when the balconies are only partly on 2 sides of the building? Let’s go with 180! 4) Stark is the best term to use – walls are blank / rudimentary furnishings are dated / NO shades on Living Room Door as shown in pictures 5) TV in bedrooms loosely got 3-5 channels (via antenna) and those were inconsistent quality Kitchen was only minimally functional – States in Ad “full equipped kitchen”: 1) Mishmash of utensils, plates, cups – cabinet doors don’t even close 2) Virtually everything we used was dirty and needed to be hand washed 3) No Dishwasher soap available 4) Only one wine glass 5) No Ice / Water in Refrigerator Door (disconnected) 6) Only 3 coffee cups Wifi was terribly inconsistent and slow – Repeatedly dropped connections – the wifi unit is ancient… needs to be replaced Misc: 1) Inoperable lamps – some with no bulbs 2) Hot Tub was not working, and we were told by others that it had been like that for 1 ½ months (We were not told in advance) 3) Construction everywhere: (We were not told in advance) a. Elevators were pulled out of service for construction b. Game room closed for work c. Common area floors are torn up 4) Very Loud floors – low quality construction leads to lots of noise from neighbors 5) Exhaust Fan in Master Bathroom does not function

Right in the center of Brickell

We enjoyed our time very much. The condo has a beautiful view of the city and offers many comforts. You could walk pretty much anywhere in Brickell and everything else was a quick Uber away. We enjoyed it a lot!
