This home is as lovely as it looks! Clean, comfortable and relaxing... there is something for everyone: sunbathing, shady reading corner, a pool the whole family can enjoy. Sabin is a wonderful host with great communication and information about the area. Check in/out was a breeze. We really appreciated having access to nice baby/toddler items and had a fabulous week. As former guests of this house under the previous ownership, we fell in love with the place, and begged to buy it from the owner, who finally relented. Naturally we couldn't be happier! As a home-away-from home for us, we also want to share it with you. Since we are a family that loves eclectic, colorful communities and people, we have also fallen in love with Miami, which certainly matches these descriptions.

Though I am from the deep south (Mobile, Alabama, and New Orleans), and my wife is from France, the pan-latin culture that permeates Miami is something with which I became familiar when I was a child when I lived in Merida, Mexico. In college I also lived in Puerto Barrios, Guatemala, and then later worked in Panama, Spain, etc, while also studying Cuba in graduate school in Washington, DC.

It is these experiences that have drawn us to get to know and love the Miami Mix of Cuban, Haitian, Venezuelan, Brazilian, Colombian, Nicaraguan, and Salvadoran communities.

I will help you discover and appreciate all of this as well!

The house itself has original pre-war details, like hardwood floors, and original moldings, but is completely updated and modern, highly-functional and comfortable. The fact that the pool is only 3 feet from the house helps too! Hop in the outdoor shower, and right into the salt-water (heated in the winter) pool!
