Thank you for choosing our bungalow for your birthday getaway! With a cozy bungalow, hot tub, and firepit, we couldn't think of a better place to celebrate a birthday! We'd love to have you back!
The process was so easy and the location was close enough where we got to spend a whole day at Ohiopyle. The cabin had everything we needed and the hot tub was a big plus! Definitely will be back soon!

Thanks for staying with us! So, glad to hear you enjoyed your stay!
It was exactly what we needed. It was far from a lot of places and us being out of town made it hard to navigate with the service being low to none but it was nice to disconnect for a weekend. The place was great I prefer a firmer mattress but I still slept good. Having everything in a small place and have large scenery was amazing. If we travel back in that area we will definitely try to rent this location again.

Sounds like a great weekend at the bungalow! It is true that there is limited service in the area - we are glad you were still able to find your way around and enjoy some time being un-plugged. There is certainly plenty of land to explore just a few steps away from the bungalow - we would be happy to host you again!
Great place to stay looks exactly like the pictures. Only issue was the shower didn’t get hot or stay hot very long. Other than that the place was great.

Thank you for your review. Sorry about the shower...we will look into that as the water heater is less than 6 months old. Thanks for the head's up.
Our stay was very quiet. It was a wonderful cabin but it could’ve used a deep clean.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay! Thank you for your helpful feedback on the property. We try our best to keep the home well maintained between each guest stay, which can be tough during busy season! We have shared this with our housekeeping team who will get in for a deep cleaning.
This cabin was the perfect size for my husband and two medium sized dogs to stay in for a long weekend! It was quiet, calm, and not far some from great food and fun activities. If you are driving in at night, just beware of the dark and winding roads!

Thanks for staying with us. We think the size of the cabin is perfect for a small family or couple too! Super quiet for sure. So, glad you enjoyed it. It's a good point on driving at night, the country roads are definitely dark and winding! Good point for future guests. Thank you!
The property was perfect for a weekend away with our dog! Ventured out to the local spots. Highlights were the Lucky Dog Cafe and Outflow Soft Freeze. Great communication with the owner, prior to and during our stay. Could not ask for a better experience. Friends saw pictures and want to experience it too!!!

Thank you for staying with us---and providing such a detailed (and helpful) review for future guests. We certainly appreciate it. We enjoyed working with you--come back again anytime--and bring your friends. :)
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the Byre Bungalow. The cabin and property were welcoming, well-maintained, and clean. The view across the valley was amazing. Biking the Allegany Passage was terrific, and the bike path was great. Hope to visit again sometime. Only thing the bungalow needs is a frying pan!!

Thank you for staying with us. We really enjoyed hosting your trip to the area. The view across the valley is quite remarkable and the GAP trail is close by (just down the hill). We will definitely work on getting that frying pan! Thank you for the feedback!
I have stayed at the other cabin on the property last summer so I was familiar with the area and process and everything went well in that regard. The bungalow had an odd smell when we first entered and a ton of dead flies and lady bugs around the bathroom and kitchen. But otherwise we had zero complaints and enjoyed our stay! Will definitely consider using this property again for another stay in the mountains.

We appreciate having you as a return guest! We are glad you enjoyed your stay and appreciate the feedback. The smell is likely the propane from the indoor fireplace, which we will be turning off shortly for the summer months. Inside a small space, the smell can be strong. Early spring is definitely the time for bugs to find their way into the bungalow - our housekeeper did clear away what she found prior to your arrival, but it seems we will need to treat further as the weather warms up. We would love to host you again!
Beautiful cabin and property. So peaceful we had 3 bunnies that played outside our door all day. All the cabins were full but everyone was very quiet and shared common space. If you’re looking for a country getaway then rent here. We had the best time here and found a lot to do in the area. We’re planning to rent here again in August or September. Thanks for letting ppl rent this beautiful property

So, glad you enjoyed our cabin! This is such a quiet county meadow spot that will put you close to nature for sure. Lots of bunnies and birds too! Our cabins do get busy in the summer, so, it is great to hear that all guests worked together nicely with the common spaces and were quiet to each other. Hope to have you back again real soon!
Had no cell signal (T-Mobile) hottub was not clean. Had to shower after soak. Overall loved the property and the area.

Thanks for staying with us and for the feedback! So sorry to hear the hot tub was not as clean as it could be - our team has since taken care of cleaning the tub and will continue maintenance for future guests! As for the cell service - it is certainly spotty due to the location. We do have internet so that guests who are not looking for an "unplugged" getaway can still use their phones!

The person who owned the property just put a new machinical lock on proerty. It wasnt working . He was able to help without delay. The proerty was beautiful and quiet. Perfect for the weekend get away i was looking for.
Very nice cabin but not very private. The other rental is RIGHT next to you. There is no curtain on a window in the back. So we had to be careful as to not walk around in our underwear because the neighbor could be out at any time playing with his dog right outside the window.
Other than that it was very nice. I think the futon is more comfortable than the bed.

Thank you for the 5 star review and staying with us. We are a little confused by the review however. There is nothing about our listing that communicates this is a PRIVATE cabin, set in the woods, alone, with no neighbors. In fact, the 2nd photo on the listing shows that there is another sister cabin close by. There is definitely a full length curtain along the back that covers then entire double doors....so, if it's closed and a neighbor was walking their dog, you could walk around in your underwear (if that's what you like). It's not in the photos as these were installed after the property photos were taken but they are there. We have heard comments on the comfort of the futon before and it is definitely a comfortable, high quality futon. The queen bed is a medium firm, memory foam mattress; so, some folks that prefer a hard mattress find this too soft. Others love it. At any rate, thanks for staying with us!
