Lovely space with a beautiful view of the marsh on back patio. Peaceful with all the amenities needed! The bed is so comfortable. The pool was a nice escape when we needed a break from the sun and sand. We will definitely book this again next year!
What a great find! Perfect view for fireworks and close to the public ocean access! A definite redo! Very prompt with responses and very through. Photo attached of back deck…marsh view
We were really looking forward to our stay given the property’s great location near the beach, but unfortunately, the cleanliness and condition of the home fell far short of expectations. Upon arrival, we found dust bunnies and pet hair all over the floors, and there was a strong, lingering smell of dog throughout the house. We brought our own vacuum and ended up vacuuming the entire condo when we first arrived. The coffee maker’s water reservoir was filled with old coffee grounds, and towel holders in the bathroom were broken. The mattress seemed to have air pockets and felt uneven when lying on it. These issues made the stay uncomfortable enough that we decided to check out early.
This condo was clean. Wonderful location. At end of Carolina Beach and 2 minute walk to beach. Very dog friendly area. We love it. Will definitely be coming back. The only things: No regular coffee pot as stated. Just a Keurig. We brought fresh ground coffee but not a big problem. In the back of condo, there is a marsh that smells terrible when the tide is out. Not sure if its the sulfur or just organic decomposition . But, you get used to it and only when the tide is out. Overall, great place!
We were very disappointed with our stay at this VRBO condo. Upon arrival, we found dust and dirt throughout the unit and had to completely vacuum it. Sitting on the furniture was nearly impossible due to hair, dust and dirt on the sofa, chairs and dining area. We also found a piece of broken glass on the floor, which confirmed that the unit had not been cleaned properly prior to our arrival. The condo had a persistent moldy, mildew smell that remained even after opening the windows. The dishwasher was full of standing water and unusable. The bedding was not fresh, several towel racks broken, further reflecting poor maintenance of the property. Due to these conditions, we stayed only one night, as we arrived too late to turn around and drive back home. The unit has not been painted in several years, as evident by the damaged walls and door frames. The host was kind in responding, and requested photos as well.
When we first entered the unit we were so disappointed how dirty the outdoor space was. When we opened the door to the condo, the musky mildew smell was awful. The next morning my husband and I took showers and the place stunk of rotten eggs. I reached out to the owner of the property and was advised that it was sulfur that we were smelling. We were advised that the water was safe and filtered. We were both sick to our stomach’s and very disappointed.
Very relaxing and quiet but convenient to food and entertainment.
We were in the area working and this was the perfect place to relax at the end of each day!!! The only negative thing is that the floors and the balcony coulad have been cleaner but there were plenty of things to clean it with.
The property was exactly what we needed! Loved being on the northern end of Carolina Beach. Tony was super responsive with all questions we had and the cherry on top was having a pool available when we needed a break from the beach. Would definitely stay again.
We had a wonderful stay at the property. Everything was as described. Walking distance to the beach, short drive to the restaurants and into town. Our German shepherd loved the place. Thank you for a great stay, look forward to returning in the future!

Fun getaway
Walking distance to the beach. Older unit that could use some sprucing. Communication with owners was great. Enjoyed our trip!

Pet-friendly, but maintenance needed
We thought we were locked out at first because the sliding glass door was so hard to open. Our son had to bring over some WD to make it tolerable. The condo was advertised as sleeping four, but we were told upon check-in that the pullout sofa did not work and that there was an air mattress in the closet! I spent the first day washing all of the blankets I could find in order to drape them over the filthy furniture. We appreciate a pet-friendly condo, but I didn't even feel like I could sit on the sofa. Both towel racks in the bathroom were broken and there was no where to hang your towels - the most annoying part of the stay. All of this being said, the owners left a lot of thoughtful items in the condo (even though I had packed most of the stuff like dishwasher liquid, etc.). If the owners would simply take some time and make some maintenance fixes/upgrades, it could be a really nice place, as the location is awesome. The weird thing is, the owners came by almost every day to get stuff out of the garage. They remarked that one of the kitchen drawers was broken, which was the least of our concerns. At least we didn't see bugs thank goodness!
The condo was perfect for us. It was so clean and taken care of. The steps were a little rough on our 17 year old dog, but other than that it was GREAT!!! This was our kids first time to the beach and they are ready to book again.
Cute little dog friendly condo in a great location
We really enjoyed our stay here with our two dogs. The proximity to the beach and Freeman Park made for an especially fun time with lots of walks on the beach. It’s also an easy drive into town for restaurants and shopping. The unit itself is well maintained, and the kitchen is well stocked and has nice appliances, including a convection oven. We enjoyed mornings on the front deck, and watching the sunset over the marsh on the back deck. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a low-key vacation with their pups.
