The Lakehouse is on the Ochoco Reservoir 5 miles East of Prineville, At this serene location, you can birdwatch while local eagles, ospreys, and pelicans raise their young. The huge covered deck is the perfect place to read or chill with a cool one while the BBQ grills your dinner. Our bonus room sports a foosball table, air hockey, a large TV with WiFi, a collection of classic DVD's, and a toddler's play area. The garage has a ping-pong table. The name of the game is relaxation and connection. Play a game of scrabble or enjoy a weekend of hiking on nearby mountain trails and the famous Smith Rocks. Our house is located 1 mile east of the Ochoco State Park and boat ramp or use the four kayaks and push off from the shores of the backyard.
The Lakehouse is the perfect place for paddling, swimming, fishing, hiking, or rockhounding, It's also a great place for a family reunion, company picnic or other gathering. There is ample parking and the view is sensational! Keywords: Lake House with private dock

What a great location. The house was comfortable and provided so much to do. Upstairs get a bit warm in the summer but fans in open windows worked well.
This is now the third or fourth time we’ve started here when we have come to Prineville for an annual event. Property is lovely. Has everything you need and that view!! Wow! Thanks again for letting us stay at your home.
We stayed at the lake house for a few nights and really enjoyed it. The house had ample space, a well-stocked kitchen and a beautiful back deck. Plenty of parking for everybody, too! Although the lake was low, the sky was great for stargazing and the mountain bike trails nearby were fantastic. We have already booked it for another stay in October!
Beautiful home in a perfect location! Clean and comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen. The game room was amazing and my grandsons had so much fun! The owner was easy to communicate with and very responsive. Couldn't have asked for anything better!
We had the BEST time here!! They have so much to do at the house inside and out! We were getting ready to book for another weekend the first full day there! We will absolutely be back! The one and only thing that anyone had to say were the spiders and all the webs, BUT it’s understandable due to being at the LAKE!! Seriously such a great time! This lake house will forever be a yearly trip!

House does not present like the photos, the grass was tall to get to the dock which was not functional. You are asking top dollar per night and we expected pristine or at a minimum like the online pictures.
This home entertains all ages. The beds are comfortable and clean. The kitchen is well stocked.
Our 8 year old enjoyed all the games indoors and the outdoor playground.
We wish we had rented it for a longer stay!
The house was beautiful and that back porch…WOW! Communication with Kate was simple and responses quick. House was fully stocked with anything you would need during your stay whether it be kitchen utensils or games to play. Would definitely stay here again!
Fun house with a lot of games toys for kids and adult’s.
This was a great house for a large family gathering. A lot of toys and outdoor activities. But be prepared for summertime no water in the reservoir. The house needs a new housekeeper/cleaning company. As there is way to many cobwebs and dust thru out the house. All kitchen shelving‘s need to be deep cleaned.
But has a great deck for bbqs and sitting out back under shade it is great. ( Watch out for wasp) a lot of the back deck chairs are nylon and torn -need replaced.
The lay out of the house is great for a large family gathering.
We had just wished it was cleaner.
Thanks.

Tons of room for outdoor play and plenty of sleep space for our extremely large family.
We had such a great time! The house is exactly as pictured and works really well for a family with kids. Even though the lake is low, the lake bed view is beautiful and was like having a huge back yard perfect for long walks and rock hounding. I would highly recommend and would love to come back again!
We went for a bachelor party and were looking forward to bringing a boat and using their kayaks for a fun weekend on the water. We were told that the lake was low - I thought this meant we would just have to be careful with the boat. Turns out it meant that the shoreline is actually a mile away from the house and water activities are pretty much ruled out without driving somewhere else.
It was still a great experience though! there was plenty of space to shoot guns and the view was still really pretty. The deck is impressive, we loved hanging out out there. There was plenty of space to fit 9 guys and keep everyone entertained with Foosball and Ping pong. They have an air hockey table but we couldn't find the Puck. They have all the kitchenware and spices to make food. Great location, Prineville is a very charming town with absolutely beautiful hiking opportunities.
Again, we had a great weekend, but the reservoir being nearly dry just wasn't what we were expecting.
We were very happy with this property. There was was lots of room, enough spaces to sleep. The deck is amazing! We spent most of our time in the deck enjoying the view.
The stay was great and our family enjoyed our time together and the kids loved every second. Kate let us know in advance that the lake was mostly dried up, so property is what we expected. The house was good, but if I had to comment on something negative, there were multiple cobwebs in the corners of the bedrooms with bugs in them. The back and view was amazing and we would return. Kate and Saz were super easy to work with. Thanks for the great stay!

Thank you for letting us know, Cob webs addressed..
The home is very well maintained and stocked. Plenty of room for our family of 9 to move around and spread out. The front yard play area was great for younger children as was the upstairs family room/ play room. Plenty of activities for everyone: from badminton, to volleyball, cornhole etc. The provided kayaks, life vests, and even fishing gear is also a nice touch as well. Keep in mind that the lake level draws down over summer. We had to travel to a nearby park for access.
The beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet- perfect if others were up late downstairs. Just a note- the metal ladders for the bunkbeds and loft were a bit uncomfortable for bare feet. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils, seasonings and pretty much anything you needed for meal prep.
All in all this was a great experience for our family and a fantastic home. We will definitely stay again.
We had a great time here, the house was very well appointed with Air Hockey, Foosball, Ping Pong and so much more. Clean and secluded area with lots of yard space, a tree fort and rope swing. Plenty of toys for little ones too in the playroom. Our only area for feedback is to provide a more up to date picture of the Reservoir during Summer. The reservoir has receded significantly so the only reasonable way to kayak during July is to bring a truck and head to the boat launch nearby. That said, Prineville is a fun little town and we loved visiting Painted Hills.
This was such a great place for the entire family!
This was wonderful for our family to get together in a place big enough. Plenty of room for everyone from toddlers to grandparents. Lots to do for all, kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed.
The house was gorgeous with so many amenities. The location was perfect ! Made for beautiful pictures with the lake in the background. The house was fully equipped for the perfect Thanksgiving Meal. The only thing I would change would be to have the direct T.V downstairs also, so we could all watch the game together and cook at the same time.

Why they chose this property
We love this location because it's only 40 miles from Bend and 25 minutes from the Bend-Redmond airport which has non-stop service from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Salt Lake City, Denver and Seattle on United, Delta, Alaska and American airlines. If you have your own plane, we are just 12 miles from the Prineville airport which has very affordable enclosed hangers for lease. Our Lake House is located just 7 miles east of Prineville so we enjoy the convenience of a town so near, but it feels like we are way out in the country. Being right on the water is so fun for throwing rocks, swimming, fishing, looking for tadpoles, getting out in the row boat or ski boat and watching bald eagles, osprey and white pelicans. We love the huge yard, deck and firepit and enjoy hosting friends because it's so simple to BBQ and play on the lake. We also have a tree house and rope swing for the kids. Our fenced and irrigated garden area produces great fresh produce during the years when we have the time to plant it and our fenced and irrigated orchard produces a small quantity of sweet cherries, apples, peaches and pears.
What makes this property unique
We love having time to just read in the New covered deck, put together a puzzle, or pick up cool rocks. The lake is never crowded even on a holiday weekend. We are on the slow end of the lake and we might see a handful of fishing boats over an entire weekend!! We take the quick boat ride to the fast end of the lake for wakeboarding, water skiing and tubing. Evenings almost always involve a bonfire with s'mores, gazing at the stars and sometimes fireworks. It's so dark out there at night so the stars and moon are especially bright and beautiful.
