About this property

Cozy 1 bedroom house, 2 min walk from the village square in GOULT. Pet friendly

“La Pitchounette”, my cozy village house, is perfectly located a couple of minutes walk from the center of the village, with its shops, cafés and restaurants.
NEW 2023! High speed internet!
NEW 2024! Air conditioning!
An exterior staircase takes you up to a small terrace with a table and chairs and entrance door.
On the 1st floor you'll find the open plan kitchen and lounge area and on the 2nd floor the bedroom with a queen size bed, shower and WC.
The house is south facing and bright and has been restored trying to respect and preserve to a maximum the old materials.
The house is equipped with modern electric radiators and an air conditioner in the bedroom.
Come and explore Goult! It is still un-spoilt and laid back and centrally located for exploring the surrounding area. The famous villages Gordes, Roussillon, Bonnieux and Menèrbes are only a short drive away.
Avignon and Aix-en-Provence can be reached in about an hour.
Italy, Spain and the Alps are a few hours drive away and from the TGV train station in Avignon you can be in Paris in 2 hours and 40 minutes...

Tolle kleine Wohnung, exakt wie beschrieben. Alles da, was man braucht, liebevoll eingerichtet. Sehr sympathische, unkomplizierte Vermieterin. Ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die wunderschöne Umgebung. Bäcker, Metzger und mehrere Restaurants in 2 bis 5 Gehminuten. Charmante, hübsch eingerichtete Kleinwohnung auf 2 Etagen, im Zentrum von Goult, eine der schönsten Gemeinden im Luberon. Wohnung ist hübsch eingerichtet, ideal für 2 Personen. Chaleur étouffante dans la chambre

Nous avons dû quitter le logement le mardi car la chaleur dans la chambre était insupportable. Le soucis vient du toit non isolé et la climatisation mobile mise à disposition est inefficace et bruyante. Nous déplorons que personne n ait signalé ce problème. Sans ce gros point négatif nous aurions pu mettre 5 étoiles.

D’abord je voudrais dire que suis vraiment désolée pour vous. Le toit est isolé - il a été refait à neuf il y a quelques années et est à norme. La climatisation portative mise à disposition sert à baisser la température dans la chambre l’après-midi et le soir et n’est pas adaptée pour refroidir la maison entière 24h sur 24. Comme j’ai expliquée, il fallait ouvrir les fenêtres la nuit quand la température baisse et de laisser rentrer de l’air fraîche. La nuit il faisait 18-19 degrés, quand même, et on dormait très bien avec les fenêtres ouvertes. Si on n’ouvre pas les fenêtres la nuit en été, la chaleur dans la chambre peut devenir insupportable. La journée il faut laisser les fenêtres ouvertes et fermer les volets… C’est comme ça en Provence. Je ne comprend pas pourquoi vous ne m’avez pas contacté… Personne d’autre est parti…

Goult House

Any negatives have to do with the intense heat wave in Europe. The a/c small unit didn’t stand a chance and the little house never cooled down. Did not do any cooking because it would have heated it up even more! Goult is a wonderful little Provence town with many lovely restaurants. However, unless you had made reservations weeks in advance, you could not get in to them for all of July. Disappointing.

Everything was perfect! It was our second time in the same place. It is a nice little house which is just a few steps away from the „village infrastructure“- one small shop, a bakery, a Café, a butcher and some restaurants….Eva is a very nice, friendly host and we are looking forward to come back!

Maison parfait pour des vacances dans le Luberon

Très bonne semaine passée dans cette jolie maison à Goult ! Le plus étant la petite terrasse extérieur cachée de la rue par des jolies plantes grimpantes ! Eva a pensé à tout pour notre confort : pas besoin d’emmener draps / serviettes/ sèche-cheveux/ éponge : TOUT est deja sur place ! Goult est un superbe village avec des commerces de proximité ( boulangerie , fromagerie , épicerie , boucher ... ) a 2 minutes à pied de la location ! De plus , le village est vraiment au centre du Luberon ! Beaucoup de choses à visiter au alentours à moins de 25 minutes en voiture ( Roussillon / Gordes / Rustrel etc ... ) Je recommande :)

Hello, I'm Eva!
I'm a Swedish woman who ended up in the Luberon, Provence, France 37 years ago…Time flies! I spent eleven years in the East Village, NYC in the seventies and eighties when it was nice an rough.
I've been working with a bit of everything from dance and theater and restaurant management in the Big Apple, to selling and distributing olive oil in Provence.
Vacation rentals is my main activity (since 2004).
I hope to see you soon in the Luberon!

Why they chose this property

When I first arrived in the Luberon nearly 40 years ago I was totally stunned by the beauty of this area and even now, every time I return back from a trip I’m still stunned and grateful to be living here. The perched, medieval villages, where every house is unique, the history, the stonework, the cellars and the vaults, makes me dream.
The countryside is sumptuous with its vineyards, olive orchards and lavender fields… the village markets…the wine & the food & the 🌞 sunshine.
To live in the countryside and still being so close to many other interesting places makes the Luberon really special.

What makes this property unique

La Pitchounette is a typical small village house restored in the traditional way, which is how I like it. Exposed stonework, a bit rough… you know you’re in Provence. It has not been restored to death.
It’s also a house that is very well placed in the village.
