About this property

In the Heart of the Pier/Village area. Community pool.

Real Escapes Properties is elated to have this beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath condominium at The 400 Ocean Building in our program. This unit is just steps to the Village with amazing restaurants and shops. You will love this location!

This 2nd floor unit has an open floor plan with high ceilings. 400 Ocean #1200 features a large living area and state of the art kitchen. A lovely banquette provides the seating in the dining area. Both the king bedroom and the queen bedroom have en-suites and balconies that extend the length of each room. The complex is gated with reserved parking and a seasonal community pool and grill area. (Pools normally open mid-April until Labor Day - subject to change).

Walk to the St. Simons Lighthouse, restaurants, shops and the Pier and enjoy the quaint Village of St Simons Island during your visit. If you have a dog, you are welcome to bring him with you as the condo is pet friendly. (Two dogs, max)

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo was clean. Need some touchups to the paint on the wall walls and very minor updates. Towels were old and dingy and bedding was uncomfortable. Pillows seemed old. Probably need to be replaced. Overall, we were comfortable. Walls of condo are extremely thin we could hear everything. The people above us we’re doing kept us up most the night our whole stay so in the future, I would rethink booking a second floor condo

Beautiful and great location!

The condominium as a whole wasn’t very large which made it feel more “private” and secluded. The communal area was nice and clean with pool floats & things the kids were appreciative of. Now, when we walked in the unit, we were blown away by the tall ceilings, the gorgeous interior designs, the beautifully chosen tiles, paint colors, accents and furniture! It was simply stunning to be a vacation condo. The master suite was wonderful - spacious, beautifully decorated, luxury bathroom. The guest bedroom was a little tight on space but we literally used the room to sleep in and store our clothes, so we weren’t complaining. The beds were both on the firmer side, if that’s a concern. The owners left a few beach things in the master bathroom closet (beach chairs, mid size shovels, boogey board). There were a few beach towels available for us to use if we needed them. Both bedrooms had access to the fairly large balcony, which had 4 chairs and 2 side tables. The view isn’t anything to write home about but again, we spent most of our time away from the condo, anyway. The kitchen had everything we needed and more - a coffee pot coffee maker AND a Keurig, wine glasses, silverware, cutting boards, etc. The drive to the pier village was barely enough to call it a “drive”. We honesty could have walked. Our only complaints, if that’s what you want to called them, are 1) tight parking and 2) that the extra linens weren’t in just one, more obvious location. Overall, we loved it.

No cleaning supplies in the unit whatsoever; could not clean the counters or floor if I wanted to. Rug had several stains on it. Dishwasher door close switch not working, could not get it to come on when we left. Smoke alarm in adjoining building came on twice while we were there. Family moved in upstairs 2 days before we left, very noisy.
