About this property
Fort George Island Private Treehouse Centrally located and Elevated!
(Accesible by car) (vrbo uses AI labeling for photo captions and can be incorrect) Our property is located on one of the many islands located within the Timucuan Ecological Preserve and has been branded as the North Florida Keys. The Hideaway was just recently remodeled with modern taste and simple design to ensure that our guests feel comfortable in every aspect of their stay. All renovations were also completed using environmentally friendly and repurposed materials where possible, while maintaining quality craftsmanship. The space has one bedroom, kitchen, and living room as well as a bathroom. The house also sits on a large lot so our guests can bring their boats or pwc’s to enjoy the local waters. It is a private space, provides private parking, a partially fenced yard and lots of wildlife!
Boating: There are over 10 boat ramps within 4 miles (the closest is public and located about.3 miles from the property) and many more just outside that radius to provide the perfect location to explore the area or take part in any local fishing tournaments. If you wish to rent a boat there is a marina located a half a mile down the road that offers boat rentals and fuel. Fishing: There are half a dozen bait shops within 4 miles that offer live bait and frozen bait. They also offer all gear and tackle needed for your trip Food: While there are locations all throughout Jacksonville we can recommend, there are three seafood restaurants located on the water all within 4 miles that are highly rated. Each is very different from the next and offer beautiful views for dinner. For those who would prefer to eat home, you can stop by one of our local shrimpers where you can buy fresh shrimp directly off the boat to take home and cook! State and Local Parks: There are dozens of state parks located within the Timucuan Ecological Preserve that offer birding, bike trails, hiking trails, Segway tours, kayak rentals, automobile friendly beaches, pedestrian traffic beaches, beachside pavilions and much more!

The hosts are quick to respond and the property is amazing. This was our second time staying at the treehouse and we definitely plan on coming back again.
Awesome Treehouse! Great location to visit the State Parks in northern FL. Also, in close proximity to several local seafood restaurants. The treehouse is a good size for a couple. There are steps to the first level and then to the sleeping loft! Host was always fast to communicate.
It was wonderful!! So peaceful and we loved being able to sit out on the daybed and listen to the birds. We even had a duck waddle up and join us while we were outside! The house has several AC units - it was pretty cold outside this weekend so we had no problems, but would imagine in the Florida summer heat those units would’ve been a lifesaver. Plenty of hot water to the sinks/showers, bed was comfortable too. Such a cool house and super sturdy/quiet even with all the crazy wind and showers this weekend. Thank you for letting us stay, we had a lovely time!!
This host is amazing. I came in on Christmas Day and the property was clean and amazingly beautiful. My first time using VRBO but because of the single host I will be my choice for accommodations from this point further! And the actual property is spectacular better than anticipated.
This place was great to stay at as we were in town for a wedding! The restaurant down the road Palms Fish was our favorite! Check in and check out was a breeze!

Had a great stay in the treehouse! It was a cute and comfortable place. The communication and hospitality was fast and help find nice places to eat! If you are looking for a quiet place to unwind, this is a must! I will absolutely recommend and will use them again the next time I visit Jacksonville! Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful place!
Some cool features! The comfy swing under the house was a nice addition to enjoy the outdoor area. Cozy and comfortable place that was perfect for the 2 of us!
Host answered all of our questions but when we arrived the AC was on as well as fans. 60 inside and quite chilly on a Feb evening. Took us a day to get it sorted oit

The heat was set to come on at 65 prior to arrival. In Feb during your stay lows were 50 with highs near 80, so 65 * threshold for heat seems reasonable and we welcome you to change to any temperature you’d like! If you would’ve mentioned when we spoke the night of check in that you wanted some help, would have been more than happy in guiding you to the mode button as well as up down arrows on thermostat to change temperature to liking, just as we guided you to volume button on tv remote that you couldn’t find but we can’t help if you don’t ask :)
Had a great time, place was clean and had everything we needed.

Thankyou so much! We take pride in making sure that the place is as clean as we would like a place to be if we were staying ourselves. The leaves seem to always outpace us on the decks but... its a treehouse after all lol Thanks for visiting!
We had a great stay at the treehouse!! The property was beautiful and the porch was perfect for relaxing in the morning before driving to the cruise port. It is in a great location, easy to find, and a very accurate listing. Highly recommend staying here!

Thanks so much! We try and make the listing description as accurate as possible! I think if we could more perfectly describe the feeling and landscape when staying, we’d be booked out for years! Thanks for visiting!
It was a nice stay away from everything and close enough to a lot of stuff.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! Less than a mile from both restaurants and boat ramps, yet under 20 min to downtown and the airport, all while on an island that you can travel to by car! Its tough to beat and why we love the area!
Thanks Chris
That means a lot Dan! First letter in the alphabet and first place you need to stay when visiting jax! Loved hosting you and glad you were able to slay the fish.
The treehouse property was perfect for our week in Jacksonville. It was conveniently located to several state parks, beaches, the zoo, and great eating places. The host was super helpful with any questions we had, and the property was clean and had a nice comfy feeling with all the amenities we needed for the week.
