We booked a short stay of 2nights on our way further south. Tim is a lovely host and talented artist, who’s there for you and for a nice conversation but respects your privacy.
Large, spacious house. Lovely views! We enjoyed the surroundings, quiet location, not isolated, close to 2 great lakes for a walk with our dogs.
Just home from a months stay, and really wish we hadn’t had to leave. The converted barn is cosy, yet spacious, atmospheric, comfortable, and very beautiful, reflecting the eye and considerable artistic talent of its owner and creator, our kind and interesting host, Tim. Tim himself was lovely, the perfect mix of available and discrete, even going out of his way, when we enquired if we could come with our dogs, to fence an area to ensure an enclosed garden they could safely play in. Unbelievably kind, thank you. The outlook and surrounding area is indescribably beautiful, bucolic countryside of rolling green fields, punctuated with trees, and meandering rivers, your neighbours friendly cows, soaring birds of prey, and the occasional welcome sighting of the friendly free range village Mule we christened Maurice (French pronunciation of course)
I have too many words to describe how wonderful our stay was and not enough room for all of them! We would thoroughly recommend, and hope to return soon.
Our stay at Tim's House was delightful. The house is beautiful and quirky. It is well equipped and has some gorgeous features. Tim was very welcoming and helpful, providing us with all the information we needed for an excellent stay. We had exhilarating rides out on the motorbike around the region and fantastic dog walks along the river at the Viaduc Rocherolles. Folles is a lovely little village with a bar/restaurant and a shop with Bessines sur Gartemps 10K away with all amenities. If you want a quiet retreat with fantastic views over the haute vienne countryside, it is well worth a visit
