The Hideaway of Silver Terrace

This is a newer unit (built 2014) in a very central neighborhood of San Diego and is minutes away from most of San Diego s major attractions.

It is part of a small 3-unit development (one building, three units - this particular unit is on the ground floor) in a neighborhood that is located just north of Old Town San Diego, south of the University of San Diego, just west of Fashion Valley, and just east of Sea World and Mission Bay Park.

Additionally, guests have the option of a quick walk to the nearby trolley station that can allow access to other areas of San Diego like downtown and Little Italy, Petco Park, and the Convention Center.

For guests that require the use of laundry services, the host will provide the washer and dryer located in the units garage free of charge.

Guest access is controlled by an electronic lock that uses a pin number that is provided to the guess upon arrival. Guests will have access to the backyard bbqing area.

Clean, well maintained property. Great location. Close to beaches, restaurants and Old Town. Very comfortable there although I must comment that the squeaky bed needs to be taken care of. Would stay again. Recommend for two folks.

It is a lower level apartment, with plenty of room for 4 people. The brand new inflatable mattress was very comfortable for my niece to sleep on. Street parking was readily available .It was very clean. And plenty of coffee supplied for our 4 day stay. Would stay again

Strong communication with the host. Great location! Very clean. Would recommend a little more seating and/or a foot stool or coffee table (maybe less storage shelves) to make the space a little more relaxing, but overall worked very well for what we needed. Seemed like the art in the bedroom and bathroom was missing (was present in the photos), which is not a big deal, but did make it feel more bare. Also, the cover on the mattress is LOUD/squeaky when you move around. Maybe there's another option? Being so close to USD, we would likely stay again. Overall would recommend for two people.

The Hideaway was perfect for what we needed and close to Sea World and Old Town. The house was clean and easy to access, super cute too! My toddler loved the slide in the backyard and the outside table was great for her messy eating. The only things we would change, if it was up to us would be to have a larger couch, it seats 2 and the bed is noisy when anyone moves an inch. We would definitely stay again when visiting SD!

This place was chosen because it was close to my mom's care facility. It was pretty quiet for being so near to a university. We walked to Giovanni's for dinner and would have walked to Old Town if it hadn't been so humid. It IS very close to most of San Diego's major tourist attractions. The trolley/light rail station is close enough that a car is optional.Not a place to hang out at but a great alternative to a hotel or resort.

This spot is so close to Old Town, the beach, Fashion Valley Mall and some great restaurants. It is also near many different freeway options. The property was clean and well maintained.

Pleasant and Comfortable

My girlfriend and I stayed here for three nights and had a great time. The spot was clean and is located pretty centrally to some great activities. It was easy to grab groceries and cook a few nights, and we enjoyed the privacy provided.

Why they chose this property

I purchased this property because I was familiar with the neighborhood and it's central location.

Since I've purchase the property I've added more units to the parcel so that I could live in one of the units and rent the other one out.

What makes this property unique

I would say the main benefit to this house is it's proximity to so many wonderful attractions San Diego has to provide. One could argue that it is located in the heart of San Diego.

Additionally, it's near the trolley line (5 minute walk) and the neighbors are super friendly.
