About this property

La grange & l'arrosoir - four seasons in the heart of Chartreuse

The cottage is situated in an old barn of 1830, hence the name "La Grange". It is located in Claret, a typical mountain hamlet in the heart of the regional park of Chartreuse. The hamlet is located at 1000 m. above sea level with stunning views of mountains, forests and meadows of Chartreuse. You can go by foot, bike or snowshoe from the house or join various beautiful places to ski, climb, swim, explore the culture and the products and local gastronomy. The Chartreuse Mountains was appointed as Regional Park a few years ago, in recognition of its outstanding natural beauty; it houses some of the rarest species of plants in the Alps and a wide range of wildlife. The area also has a rich history, particularly marked by the presence of the Carthusian monks in the monastery of the Grande Chartreuse. The massif is located near Grenoble, Annecy and Chambery.

Road trip stop off

We arrived cold and wet after a day on the bikes in the rain. The Gîte was cosy and comfortable with plenty of heating to dry out. We would be happy to return with the hope of drier weather. We could easily spend a few days exploring the region.

Our host was easy to communicate with and was there to welcome us when we arrived and to make sure we had everything we needed. The home is located in the moutains and the views are wonderful!!Everything was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Every bedroom had an attached bathroom. It does have lots of stairs which should be noted for those with mobility issues. The washer and dryer was a great addition. We loved the warmth of the wood stove. A wonderful place to stay for us!!!

Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances de Noël en famille dans ce gîte. Il est super, très confortable, avec une salle de bain dans chaque chambre, ce qui est vraiment appréciable. Claire est une hôte très arrangeante et de très bons conseils. Gros coup de cœur pour le poêle à bois, la cuisine très bien équipée et le sapin de Noël installé. Nous recommandons ce gîte sans hésiter !

Sommerurlaub Chartreuse

Wir hatten eine tolle Woche in der Chartreuse und haben uns im Haus in Les Clarets sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist vollständig und gemütlich eingerichtet. Im Garten und auf der Terrasse konnte man in der herrlichen Umgebung gemeinsam frühstücken und zu Abend essen. Die Gastgeber sind äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir würden jederzeit wieder unseren Urlaub dort verbringen.

nature et dépaysement

Nos sommes ravis d'avoir séjourné dans cette maison typique au cœur des montagnes de chartreuse, la maison est confortable et bien équipé, le cadre est vert et reposant, proche de toutes les zones d'activités (randonnées, canyoning, spéléologie...) . Et un point formidable: la présence d'un poêle à cheminée très apprécié même au printemps ! Deux précisions qui n'était pas très claires: - le gîte est accolé à la maison des propriétaires et le jardin est en commun (chacun a fait preuve de discrétion, pour nous ce n'était pas un problème) - la connexion wifi n'est pas extraordinaire si on veut travailler à plus de 4 personnes en même temps. Merci pour cette pause hors du temps :)

Bonjour Ioanah, merci pour votre appréciation, y compris pour les points qui n'étaient pas clairs. J'en suis désolée. Concernant le jardin, dans le déscriptif de l'annonce j'indique que la terrasse est réservéeaux locataires mais "Jardin partagé avec les propriétaires. Non clôturé." Je ne sais pas trop comment préciser davantage les choses?Globalement cela s'est toujours bien passé et permet même des rencontres plutôt sympas. Concernant la connexion, comme je pense vous l'avoir indiqué au moment de votre réservation, mon conjoint et moi faisons très régulièrement du télétravail sans grande difficulté. Parfois le réseau est un peu plus lent... mais peut-être sommes nous habitués à travailler avec une connexion moins rapide que dans d'autres secteurs? En tout cas, je me réjouis si vous avez pu malgré ces points, apprécier les lieux.

😊Très beau chalet, bien placé et tout équipé. Les hôtes sont disponibles et de bons conseils. La literie est excellente, toutes les pièces sont spacieuses et chaleureuses. 😕 Le seul petit bémol personnel : ne pas pouvoir faire le noir total dans les chambres pour dormir. Merci à Claire pour sa réactivité face à nos questions.

Vu la configuration des fenêtres (en hauteur et en triangle) ce n'est pas évident de trouver une solution efficace, pratique et esthétique, mais si vous avez des suggestions nous sommes preneurs. Gîte dans les hauteurs de Saint Pierre d'Entremont avec un environnement montagne/campagne qui assure une bonne coupure tout en ayant les commerces à proximité en voiture. Régal pour les yeux et balades assurées avec cet environnement. Propriétaires très agréables. Literie au top ! (détail mais ... à force de faire des gîtes je réalise que le duo matelas/oreillers au top ne sont pas toujours au rdv et là : nickel !).
