Enjoy the Gulf Coast lifestyle in this beautiful 3 bedroom/2 bath house. The open great room has a cathedral ceiling and is ideal for casual entertaining. The master suite includes a jet tub and barrier-free shower. The house has a large side porch for enjoying the outdoors and small porch off the updated kitchen which is great for grilling. This excellent house is just a block from the water of Bay Saint Louis, and a little over a mile from the vibrant and charming downtown Bay Saint Louis. The Gulf Coast region features lots of opportunity for fishing and boating as well as many entertainment venues, restaurants and casinos. New Orleans is approximately an hours drive away.Miles of beautiful bay and water front trails are only 1,000 feet distance from the house with the Bay St Louis Yacht Cub a few blocks South. There is a public pier for fishing, strolling or just enjoying wildlife just North of the house. Wildlife & nature are everywhere to enjoy a true Bayside relaxed experience. Then just a 3 Minute drive puts you in the heart of great restaurants, interesting shops and events.

Great Place

We’ve adopted the Bay Beach Hideaway as the place to stay near our Southern family. Wonderful kitchen … equipped with the best… great King bed… quiet .. near the Bay. Large screen porch… lots of creative touches everywhere. Definitely a home shared by the owners.. not just pulled together for rental. We love it.

So quiet you could hear a pin drop. Very nice brand new 85 inch TV. Nice decor and some interesting art pieces. Extremely comfortable bed in master bedroom. Loved the screened in porch for playing games.

We would definitely stay here again! The home was very comfortable and in a quiet private location but just a short walk to the water. The white sand beach and boardwalk was just a 5 minute drive from the house. It was like spring in Mn with all of the birds singing. We also had an owl hooting most evenings. Our host was great at filling us in with all of the entertainment in the area. Small town vibe with friendly people.

I don't know where to begin with all the rave reviews I could give this property. First off the home was very clean, spacious, and met all our accommodations. The home had a very large lot and my favorite part was the screened in patio. Perfect for my early morning coffee and relaxing with a good read followed up by ending the evening just watching the sun go down. The home was walking distance to the ocean, and just down the street was all kinds of fun little shops and a variety of restaurants. While staying in Bay St. Louis we traveled over to New Orleans several times. (One of my all time favorite places.) Took an air boat ride out into the swamps; loved every bit of that! We went over to Long Beach, MS. and Biloxi. So much to do! Can't wait to go back!

Great Destination Christmas

We like to get away for the Christmas season and chose the Gulf coast this year. We saw this house online and thought it was perfect! We were so right! The home is clean, well-decorated and perfect for our getaway! The owners even put up a Christmas tree for us! The location is awesome - just 5 minutes from the casino, 20 minutes from the MS Aquarium, and ample golf courses nearby to keep grandpa happy! Communication from the property manager was awesome. I always felt like if I needed him, he would be there to help. We enjoyed football on the big screen TV, games around the table, and good home cooking on Christmas day! I couldn't be happier! Thanks George and Maggie for a great Christmas!

Peaceful comfort close to everything!

The week was great! We had plenty of communication ahead of time. House was nicely furnished and well-appointed. Tub and showers are wonderful. Beds on the soft side if you prefer firm mattresses. Lots of pillows and blankets. Plenty of thick towels. Backyard was so quiet - nice to have time away from our city life! We could walk to the Gulf but our section wasn’t the open sandy beach. Have to drive a little to get to the retail/restaurant/beaches of Bay St Louis. We thoroughly enjoyed several restaurants and bars. Not a bad experience anywhere. We hopped from city to city a few days. Biloxi, Long Beach, Pass Christian, Ocean Springs and more. Rented a beach umbrella one day. White sand is fabulous. Free parking. Easy access! We highly recommend the house and location. Gave us the week we needed!

Bay St. Louis retreat

Home is lovely and in a quiet area just a short distance from beach. Rooms are large and open. Kitchen was supplied with all that is needed to prepare our meals but property is also close enough to restaurants to eat out when not in the mood to cook. Looking forward to staying again.

This home was built by the owners after Hurricane Katrina destroyed their first vacation home. The owners, Maggie & George, who are retired live in New Orleans, LA and custom built this home as a retreat for their family to enjoy the beauty of the MS Gulf Coast and the wildlife that surrounds the area the house is built in. George was an building contractor.

Why they chose this property

The house replaced Maggie & George's cottage that was originally at the location but was destroyed during Hurricane Katrina. The area the house is located in is an upscale area of Bay St Louis that sits a 1000 feet from the Bay of St Louis close to the Bay boat club and miles of walking trails along the bay. It is less than a mile from downtown Bay St Louis with outstanding restaurants, wonderful shops, meeting places, harbors and the famous "Old Town" area that is popular along the MS Coast that has non-stop activities, etc.
