10 STARS!!A mere 5 stars does not begin to portray the comfortable elegance of this home & warm welcome by the hostess. My husband & I soaked up the warmth in every way for a month that went far too fast. The location is conveniently close to great restaurants, golf courses, bike & hiking trails. If rental of this rare jewel with amazing views is available, my advice is to grab it.
This was our third time staying here and it never disappoints. Elegant, yet comfortable interiors with a world class wrap around patio that provides an incredible view of the mountains. We are already planning our return trip.
This house is wonderful for a stay in Tuscon. The outdoor setting can’t be beat. Tammy is a wonderful host , very responsive and quick to answer our questions.

Thank you Susan, it was so great having you and your guests during such a beautiful time of year. It was my pleasure and hope you'll visit again!
We enjoyed our stay here so much. The backyard and views were amazing. The property feels remote even though it is centrally located to everything you would need. Tammy has thought of everything and was very helpful. We would highly recommend and use again.

Thanks so much for your kind words and taking the time to leave a review of the Oro Valley Hacienda! It was a pleasure having you and hope you can rest and refresh with us again in the future! All the best!
Spectacular view of Catalina Mountains which are only a short drive away for excellent hiking, Plenty of comfortable outdoor seating with covered patios and lots of wildlife viewing up close. A perfect place to relax. Lots of nearby excellent restaurants when you don't want to take advantage of the well-equipped indoor and outdoor cooking facilities. Tammy was always available by phone if you should need her. Great host!

Thank you, it was great having you and glad you enjoyed all the wildlife! Hope your holidays were full of joy and wish you all the best in the New Year!
This was our second season ‘snowbirding’ at Tamara's enchanting and charming abode! Her property embodies serenity and seclusion, yet its central location offers effortless access to all the essentials! Her home is impeccably furnished, spotlessly clean, and tastefully decorated with an array of textures and artwork that truly elevate the spirit. The breathtaking view of the Catalina mountains and abundant wildlife from the backyard is nothing short of spectacular! We had the delight of witnessing a diverse array of birds daily, accompanied by majestic bobcats, great horned owls, javelinas, mule deer, and the nightly serenade of coyotes was pure magic! Her home seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor living, featuring a stunning wrap-around covered veranda and an open patio surrounded by lush grass, where we'd bask in the morning sunshine and revel in the bird songs, and later seek shade under the veranda as the temperature soared to 90 degrees. With Catalina State Park merely ten minutes from her doorstep, we took advantage of daily hikes and bike rides. The Loop was easily accessible from her property, offering endless biking possibilities, but we opted for the La Canada trailhead, just ten minutes away, and savored smaller segments of The Loop. Our days were filled with birding, hiking, biking, exploring Tucson's parks, and unwinding at her home to marvel at the mountain sunsets. Her home and property are truly magical! Looking forward to next year!

It was such a pleasure having the two of you. I appreciate the feedback and it warms my heart to hear how you enjoyed the setting and the variety of wildlife. I so look forward to having you back next year!
I had considered submitting a poor review for Tammy's home with a selfish motive of insuring it would be available for my wife and I in the future.
However, in the interest of being honest, I changed my mind.
Everything was superb....the house, the serenity, the views, the ambience, with all the comforts of home.
Tammy, the host, is attentive to detail and the best host we have experienced with VRBO.
A memorable two month stay....... Two Canadian retirees.
Let's start with the spectacular views. Awesome! While enjoying the mountain scenery, we were entertained by a variety of birds coming to the hummingbird feeders and the seed block. Nearby, we found a variety of hiking trails and the Oro Valley Community Center for drop-in pickleball, one of many activities offered to visitors for $5/person/day. The house was beautiful and comfortable, and the few suggestions I made to our accommodating host were well received, and she promised to address them before the next guests arrived. This is a house we'd rent again, should we return to the Tucson area.
Beautiful Comfortable Oasis with Spectacular Mountain View’s and Sunshine!
Tammy's rare jewel in Oro Valley is, by far, the best VRBO home rental we've ever stayed in. We're very familiar with Tucson, Arizona, having had family living here. Her home's location is perfect - near all amenities with easy access, yet private and quiet. The patio offers magnificent views of the Catalina mountains, plenty of birding, sunshine, and warmth, even in January. The covered veranda provides a nice respite from the heat, which we experienced during February's unseasonably warm temperatures. We enjoyed daily lunches out back, birding galore, (There were at least 15 different bird species right under our nose that we haven't seen since we live in Wisconsin), and I set up my cycleops outside so that I could do my daily PT in the sunshine! What a treat. Catalina State Park is literally out the door. We visited it daily with either hiking or biking. There are bike trails all over and so close, which we took advantage of. Sabino Canyon, Saguaro National Park East and West, Oracle State Park, Agua Caliente Park, Sweetwater Park for birding, and many local neighborhood parks with paved walking trails are all within an hour's drive and or closer. We took advantage of it all and enjoyed every minute of it. After a day's worth of adventures, we loved coming back to the peacefulness of her home to sit out back and watch the sunset over the mountains. That was truly magical. Her home is so comfortable, very well appointed, and beautiful. We booked for next year!
House, location and host have it all. The house feels like a home, not a rental. The views are even better than the pictures. Plenty of firewood, incredible birds to watch from back veranda, conveniently placed and spotless grill with all the tools conveniently placed, and on and on. Tammy is readily available if needed and very responsive to any request. Major grocery stores are less than five minutes away and Catalina State Park is less than 10. There is a great deal of privacy, as no neighbors are seen or heard. Full sun in back yard overlooking mountains is lovely, while veranda offers abundant shade. We stayed for a month and loved every minute of it.
Fantastic trip! Views from backyard are spectacular! Home was better than pictures. Super cozy and clean. Great bird watching from the porch swing. Nothing was overlooked! Tammy, our host was lovely. She had fresh cut flowers in the rooms and was quick to respond to our questions and offer recommendations for dining. Hope to return soon!!!
The house is beautifully decorated, filled with unique artwork, very comfortable, private, and quiet. As soon as you enter, you have a feeling of warmth and serenity. You have everything you need and everything works. The view of the mountains from the patio is absolutely stunning. Sitting on the swing in the morning, watching the sunrise and the birds at the feeder, is a beautiful experience. The fireplace is excellent. We never turned on the television. Although Tammy, the gracious and responsive hostess, is just a few steps away, you would never know she was there. We enjoyed this rental very much and recommended it highly.
We were very lucky to stay at the property for a whole month. Gorgeous views of the Catalina mountains. Loved the wrap around patio with great seating and views from all sides. The yard was beautiful with wonderful Arizona landscaping. The home is a delight-artfully decorated, yet cozy with a great kitchen. The quails and hummingbirds showed up daily, and on one early morning, a Bobcat walked across the patio.
Tammy was a wonderful host—very responsive, yet unobtrusive. She had great recommendations for hikes, etc… Bottom line, we would go back in a minute!!
Our stay here at the Hacienda was incredible. We can't say enough about it. Definitely returning!!
Tammy was an incredible and thoughtful host. Everything You could want for a relaxing stay and the home is simply beautiful.
From the million dollar view to the resident desert tortoise it was wonderful, perfectly located and appointed. Thanks for the over the top accommodations and hospitality!

Such A Perfect Spot We Booked Again For Next Year!
This was a perfectly charming, immaculate, private spot for us in Tucson. Location was wonderful, house fully equipped and clean, special personal touches everywhere. Patio space amazing! Scenery was spectacular! Tammy was a gracious and conscientious host! Our stay could not have been more memorable. See you next year!!!
We arrived late afternoon from a day of air travel and were met by Tammy. From the moment we stepped onto this stunning property, we felt so comfortable. The view is spectacular, the accommodations spotless, and beautifully appointed. We would go back in a “heartbeat”.
We love this property. Although Oro Valley has become a very busy place, the minute you turn onto the dirt road leading to Tammy's beautiful Hacienda you enter a quiet oasis. The interior of the house is quietly beautiful, outside the amazing wrap-around covered veranda invites you to sit day and night. Every morning we had our first coffee on the veranda to watch the sunrise over the Catalina Mountains, which fill the view from left to right. The surrounding natural desert is literally teaming with wildlife which you get to watch from a very comfortable spot on the veranda. Tammy thinks of everything: the burbling fountain, flowering plants, bird feeders, and very comfortable porch furniture.
The Hacienda is well situated to enjoy the whole Tucson area. Since Catalina State Park is so close we took advantage of all the park has to offer: music, hiking, and biking. Both Saguaro National Park and Tucson Mountain Park, protected reserves of the best of the Sonoran Desert landscape, are just a 30 minute drive, so we also went there several times to hike and bike. We visited the downtown art gallery and had dinner at one of the wonderful Mexican restaurants that old Tucson offers.
The interior of the house is so comfortable. We both enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, watched movies at night and felt so comfortable in the Hacienda bedrooms and bathrooms. The luxurious bedding and bathroom linens were perfect. The whole interior was so pleasant and functional. Home away from home! We loved our stay!

Tucson retreat
My sister and I stayed here while visiting with my niece and exploring the area. Lots to do and see! The house is beautiful and fully stocked with all things needed to cook, entertain and “chill” with awesome sunrises from the wrap around porch. Mountain View’s and desert blooms and birds! Great place. Hope to return

This was very nice!
This was a wonderful place, secluded in desert surroundings, yet minutes from stores, El Conquistador golf, and Catalina State Park. The home is lovely and the owner has thought of everything. The large patio is a peaceful place to sit in the mornings and evenings and watch the many birds. We highly recommend and will be back.

A wonderful house with outstanding views
We loved our week here. The house is beautifully and tastefully decorated. Very clean and comfortable throughout, it instantly feels like home. The house has absolutely everything you might need and then some. Although the owner Tammy lives across a breezeway, you wouldn’t know anyone else was around. It’s quiet and private. There’s a deep wrap-around porch around 3 sides with several seating areas. It is also neat, clean and nicely decorated. A panoramic view of the mountains from most of the porch makes an already great house spectacular. Wildlife and many birds come to visit feeders and kept us entertained. Oh yes, and the beds were very comfy. Didn’t want to leave and will be back.
