In summer, the private McKinney Shores HOA beach provides easy access for boating and water fun. In winter, Homewood Mountain Resort is only a mile to the north for exciting skiing or snowboarding. In Spring and Fall, there are lots of nearby hikes and fun places to explore like Eagle Rock and Sugar Pine Point State Park.
If you prefer to stay home and relax, this is the place! Take in the gorgeous lake view while grilling up dinner on the deck or gather in the large upstairs loft for family game night or a movie on the huge flat screen TV.
Front door opens to the living room with plush sofa and leather easy chairs in front of a large stone hearth, gas fireplace. The adjacent dining table seats 8 with a view of the lake. Modern kitchen has all the supplies and conveniences you’ll need for fabulous meals. On this level, you’ll also find a lake view bedroom with Queen bed, TV and a door out to the deck; a second bedroom with Double/Full bed, TV and laundry facilities; and a full bathroom between the two bedrooms.
Upstairs there’s another Queen bedroom with lake view and door out to a balcony; second full bathroom; and large loft with large sectional sofa, TV, and desk / work space.

- Winter access: Chains or snow tires are often required in winter
- BBQs (propane) are not provided during winter (November–Memorial Day). Charcoal grills are banned in our area.
- Firewood is not supplied during the summer months (Memorial Day through October)
- Shampoo/conditioner/bodywash are not included
- Most have supplies like flour, sugar, salt & spices, but these are not guaranteed items
- We do not provide additional towels for beach use and encourage renters to bring them for summer stays
- For all dog-friendly properties, there is an additional fee of $100+tax per dog.
- Placer County STR rules: The county of Placer implemented a new Short Term Rental Ordinance which is very important for guests to abide by. Fines range from $1,500- 5,000 and can be issued to guests who are not in compliance. A full list of rules is attached as a photo in this listing.
Some Highlights include: Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am. No noise shall be heard across property lines. No outdoor speakers or amplified sound are to be used at any time. Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside a property, and all pet waste must be picked up. Street parking is prohibited year-round.
