Ideal locatiom close to Canal and in turn access to Bruge. Facilities close by with shops, supermarket and bar. But if also wanting too get away from it all, would also prove ideal, with cosy feel and all you could need in the accommodation. Lovely big garden, with views and log burner for those cosy evenings in, we loved our stay there.

A gorgeous property located in rural farmland. The spacious garden was perfect for drinks and eating outside, our pet labrador was in his element!Everything was as described, comfortable beds (two doubles), Smart TV, everything you could possibly need in a well stocked kitchen. Railway station is 20 min walk or short bike ride, we got the train into Bruges.There is also a marina with a bar / restaurant about 25 mins walk. Aldi 5 mins in the car.The property comes with four bikes for for guests to use, however these could do with some maintenance, one had a puncture, another loose handlebars and another really needed new brakes!! We used them only to cycle to station.The trampoline was a big hit with the teenage kids! There is also a swing and tree house type climbing frame, but this looked disused.All in all a very enjoyable stay - Thank you!!

The property was absolutely stunning and the house was adorable. Rabbits came to the door and the sunrise was beautiful. We did however, have concern with the hosts communication. There was no soap available after we finished what little was left. We had planned on riding bikes into Bruges but the tires were not fully filled with air and the air pump was difficult to use. We felt everything should have been ready to use. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic stay

Great location for us, very easily accessible to travel around. Ideal property with some great design features. Slept well. Dogs were settled throughout our stay and loved the garden. Stay was only a fleeting trip unfortunately but we would definitely book again. Thank you

A beautiful spot, one of the nicest places I have stayed in. The grounds and surrounding county side is beautiful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a spot near Brugge.

Tranquil stay close to Bruges

We enjoyed our stay in this unusual property in a tranquil location. It is very well equipped and everything we needed was there! We loved the bikes and we used them to cycle the 13km along the river bank to the centre of Bruges.

Best place to stay to explore wonderful Belgium

Great place to stay, you are surrounded by green and silence, you can perfectly relax and calm down. Great nature around and easy access to all sight seeing attractions like Brugge, Gent and the coast with its beautiful beaches. Super cosy and nice house, you find everything you need for a perfect stay. We will definitely come again in the future.

Rest and Relax in the Countryside

This is a great house to rest and relax. It is in a great location that makes it easy to get to the beach and surrounding towns. We loved the alpaca neighbors next door and walked into town for a fun food truck rally. It was a nice weekend out of the city.

A lovely escape to the country

This is a beautiful accommodation in a beautiful setting. The description is correct in noting the "eye for detail": the interior decor is stunning. The loft / open concept was ideal for my husband, son and I and the location allowed for daytrips to Bruges, Ghent as well as some cycling along the canal (although the bicycles are in need of some maintenance).

Really lovely stay at a great property! So nice to head back home to such a peaceful place after a busy day of exploring. The house itself is great and has everything you need - comfy sofas, smart TV, equipped kitchen, comfy beds and a great bathroom. The grounds are fantastic, and we spent some lovely times having drinks in the garden, playing with our dog and enjoying the views. A couple of suggestions for others visiting: - if you are sensitive to light in the morning, you may want to bring an eye mask as there are no blinds on the windows opposite the main bedroom.- the stairs up to the bedrooms are steep and wooden. We put some carpet squares on them during our stay to make them less slippy. In summary, we had a fantastic stay, and would definitely visit again!

Great place to explore the Flanders region.

We had a great stay for a week at the house. It was very well presented with all amenities you would expect. The kitchen/living area was very stylish and also very easy to use. It's rare to go to a house in another country without really struggling to use the kitchen equipment (in particular the oven), but this wasn't the case here. The bathroom was really good with a fantastic shower. The wi-fi worked well. The living area was very comfortable, we enjoyed spending evenings sat inside or having a meal outside when the weather was good. The grounds were lovely and our son particularly enjoyed the trampoline. The location was very good, with easy access to all of the Flanders region by car, bus or rail. If you really wanted to cycle around the area, there were some bikes available (in excellent condition). We wouldn't hesitate to recommend and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we were in the area.

Peaceful and cosy

We spent 4 nights over Christmas at the property and had a lovely time. It is in a great location to explore the area, close to the motorway, but in a quiet rural area surrounded by fields. The property is well equipped and has a great kitchen with a fantastic oven. We didn't really make the most of the garden due to it being cold and damp but it was nice to have a safe enclosed space for our dog to explore. It would be a great place to relax in the summer.We made good use of the log burner which made the place really warm and cosy. The only thing I would point out is that the stairs to the bedrooms are very steep and more like a ladder, with no handrail on one side. It maybe a good idea to have a picture of these on the listing or at least mention them in the description, as someone with limited mobility or very small children may struggle.

Lovely property

It's a nice place in a lovely, quiet spot. It would be especially nice in summer, when you could eat outside and enjoy the views. I give this 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons: 1. It is listed as a two-bedroom facility, but it is not. It is a one-room cabin with an open loft. The bathroom is private, but the two "bedrooms," located upstairs, are only separated by a saloon-style swinging door. Indeed, you have to walk through one to get to the other (e.g., to go the bathroom at night), and anything said or done in one can be readily heard. 2. The stairs that lead to the loft are more like a ladder than stairs. VERY steep and shallow, and no hand rail on the open side. Hard to get luggage upstairs, and could be dangerous for seniors, young children, etc. If those are not a problem for you, then this is a good place.

Wir haben im Ferienhaus Carpe Diem einen sehr erholsamen Urlaub verbracht. Besonders die ruhige, abgeschiedene Lage und die angenehme Atmosphäre haben uns sehr gefallen. Haus und Grundstück haben viel Charme und großes Potenzial. Allerdings hatten wir den Eindruck, dass die Unterkunft mittlerweile etwas mehr Pflege und Instandhaltung vertragen könnte. Die Sauberkeit bei unserer Ankunft entsprach nicht ganz dem Eindruck, den die bisherigen Bewertungen vermittelt hatten, insbesondere in Küche, Wohnbereich und Bad. Auch einige Sitzgelegenheiten im Außenbereich wirkten verwittert und waren teilweise verschmutzt, sodass letztlich vor allem der große Tisch gerne genutzt wurde. Zudem waren zwei der vier Fahrräder nicht fahrbereit. Die Umfriedung des Grundstücks weist inzwischen einige größere Lücken auf, und auch die Abgrenzung zum Teich wirkte auf uns stellenweise etwas instabil. Mit einigen gezielten Maßnahmen ließe sich das große Potenzial dieser Unterkunft aus unserer Sicht wieder vollständig ausschöpfen. Unterm Strich überwiegen für uns jedoch die positiven Eindrücke deutlich: Die herrliche Ruhe, die Naturnähe und die besondere Lage haben unseren Aufenthalt zu einem sehr schönen und erholsamen Urlaub gemacht.
