The beach is just 5 km away, with a bike path and easy car access that get you there in less than 10 minutes. Nearby you can also explore a number of cenotes (each of them unique and with peculiar characteristics), take a tour South into the UNESCO protected Sian Kan Biosphere, or go north to swim in the wild turtles sanctuary of Akumal. 30 minutes drive west will land you to Coba, surrounding cenotes or drive a little further to the charming colonial town of Valladolid.
