We had a fantastic stay and it was perfect for the 17 of us. We were able to get in straight away on our arrival day, which was great with so many people and some with mobility issues. Plenty of space and places for people to relax in. Everyone loved the pool and hot tub as well as the pool table. Few issues with one of the air-con units and a fridge but nothing major and the air-con sorted itself out after half a day. Would definitely come again.

Great family holiday

Super villa, lived up to all expectations, so much space for 14 of us, lovely pool and gardens. Selene very helpful, lovely to have our shopping there when we arrived. All in all a great week with family.

Beautiful villa

We enjoyed an amazing family holiday at casa Santa ynez for 13 of us. The whole villa is beautiful, with enough space for everyone with plenty of space to spare. Would definitely recommend it

It was everything it said it was, would go back in a heart beat. The villa was superb, big, clean, beautiful, totally relaxing, everything you need & great for the kids with the pool. Renny was there to meet us, he gave us lots of helpful information about the local area, & was easy contactable if we needed him. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Wonderful stay for our wedding

We stayed at the villa for a week with our family. It was even better than the we expected. Lots of space for everyone so no one ever felt on top of eachother. Great pool and lovely lawn area. Couple of broken items in the villa but nothing that would stop us from rebooking. Wonderful stay overall! Can’t wait to come back :)

Lovely villa. Really enjoyed our stay. We did have problems with the streaming on the tv. Especially when England were playing!!! Lots of room for all the family. Found the depth of the pool too deep for some of us.

This is a beautiful, multi-million dollar home which has lots of comfortable bedrooms, beautiful master suite, excellent kitchen, and lots of beautiful outdoor seating areas and a beautiful pool which we enjoyed. However, the home is advertised as being 20 meters from the beach. It is not! To get to the beach, you walk down the street past 3 other villas, then you turn right and walk on a path parallel to the highway, then you walk through a tunnel to get to the beach. More like 100 meters (or more) than 20m. Incidentally, this is where the garbage bins are located, just before the tunnel. Other major problems: (1) house was supposed to have washer and dryer which was essential since we were doing laundry for 7 adults two infants. There is NO DRYER! You hang your wet clothes on drying racks in the backyard. Absurd. (2) House has multiple A/C units -- unfortunately two of them did not work. One worked but leaked so much that we had to keep two buckets beneath the unit and empty them a few times per day (or turn it off). Other unit would only blow hot air. A/C repair man was requested and promised every day but never came the entire week. Same for plumber who never came to repair a master bedroom sink that did not drain at all. Annoying. Propane tank for outdoor BBQ grill was very low but was replaced after a couple of days. We still had a good time but the multiple problems and failure to address them detracted from what could have been an amazing week!

Special Family Holiday

The property itself was very nice however at the time of year we were there, late September some of the decor, walls were marked by previous guests which is understandable and some kitchen unit doors had dropped due to some loose hinges. This could have been easily rectified with regular maintenance checks. The pool and hot tub were very nice as well. All in all we had a great holiday in a very nice villa.

The first impression on the pictures of the website and the you tube film gave us an idea of the house. When we arrived our impression became reality. It was a very good holiday, and the service is very good. Renny and his team helps us when there were minor things. I would recommend it to everyone.

Beautiful villa. Perfect for our family holiday

From arrival to departure Santa Ynez had everything we could have wished for. Selene greeted us on arrival and was helpful throughout our stay. Elle arranged our welcome shop which was unpacked before our arrival. As a family of 8 adults and 5 children. The villa, pool and hot tub fulfilled all our needs. Our 6 month baby was provided with everything from cot, steriliser, baby monitor right down to little swimmers!! The villa is in a beautiful location so close to the beach and lovely town of La Cala which we visited each day. We will definitely be returning. Perfect for a family holiday

Special family holiday

The villa is very well set up and lovely and spacious with great outdoor living with plenty of room for all , we had all age groups and it worked very well. The pool table was a real hit amongst us all especially the younger adults and a table tennis table would have been another huge benefit. Some of the outdoor furniture and cushions are very tired though and have seen better days. The only downside to the villa in our opinion is that the walk to the lovely town for all the restaurants , bars and shops is an unpleasant one , having to walk alongside the busy main carriageway. All in all a great way to chill and spend time with a large group of people .

From our warm and inviting welcome from the property manager Selene through to our departure, we had a wonderful time. We found her service to be prompt and helpful at all times. She's delightful.House was lovely, clean and perfectly located.Just slight descrepancy on website - not all bedrooms are ensuite - one on the middle floor needs to use the separate bathroom across the corridor. Not a big issue but would help for planning room occupants for future stays.Took a day or two to get used to the layout but entertainment areas upstairs and downstairs were perfect for our family get togethers. Pool is well maintained - pool maintenance twice during our stay.Location is secure - no noise from main road.Access to the beach was very easy.Supermarkets within 5-10 mins by car. Three restaurants within walking distance.All-in-all a great stay - would highly recommend.

santa Ynez review

it was a lovely spacious house with a great location and the local beach within walking distance with the beach bar was a daily visit. there are no bathplugs at all so not baths available even though there are baths on the property. the main bedroom air conditioner leaked and the top bedroom aircon didn't work at all. we did not have any help regards our requests from the property managers? for boat hire and plugs and the blender did not work. so no cocktails could be made. small issues but overall a fab property.

Lovely villa shame about the road noise

This property is lovely however I am amazed no one has mentioned the road noise - we didn't realise it would be so close to the main coast road which is busy 24-7 and very noisy. The villa had had some issues the week before we stayed where the grass had beed dug up and we had gardeners coming in to fix it - the work had also meant that the glass around the pool was quite dirty which was a shame. The villa has 10 televisions and only one of them work - not great when you are travelling with grown up children when they want to have time on their own relaxing. Other than these few issues the villa is lovely and provides a great space for 2 families to share without feeling on top of each other. Groceries and wine were provided when we arrived which was lovely so we didn't have to shop on our first day - this was such a lovely touch and we were so grateful. If this villa could be picked up and moved away from the busy noisy road we would definitely go back

Lovely week with family.

We stayed at the property over half term. There were 10 of us in total including grandparents, parents and grandchildren. The property is huge and actually much bigger than we expected. Plenty of seating, plates, cutlery etc. Location great apart from the road noise (which we expected). Pool and hot tub temperatures perfect. We felt that the property was very tired in some areas. Paint chipping off walls, very dirty seat pads outside, leaking shower trays due to design and generally it just felt like it needed some TLC. The worst area was the first-floor balcony. An acro- prop is currently holding the balcony up. We were reassured that it was ok to use but it simply did not look safe. The floor boards are warped. As the week progressed we were met with a rather unpleasant odour outside. It was a gaseous/sulphur type smell and we figured it was coming from the garage area underneath the hot tub/pool. Non of the TVs worked properly. An annoying part when reviews from earlier in the year state the same thing. Selene (property manager) although helpful had a very odd manner and came across rude at times. I'm sure if all of these things were rectified we wouldn't hesitate in returning.

A 60th Birthday Celebration

We took 6 families to Casa Santa Ynez, twelve adults and 7 children (1 in a cot) and the villa lived up to everyone's expectations. You would think that we would be under each others feet but there are so many different areas for the adults and the children to go to, you sometimes feel that you could be on your own. The villa itself is safe, especially for the children and located so close to the beach that we were using the local beach bar as our second kitchen. It's closeness to La Cala (I think the best village along this particular coastline) gives you the impetuous to get out and explore the area and visit the numerous local restaurants along it's front. Renny was a brilliant host, if you needed anything, a car, goods, your shopping picked up prior or a maid for a few days he can sort it out for you. We had the chef Justin come in one evening and cooked a BBQ for us all and our guests (20 in total) he brought in everything and the place was spotless when he left and I must say that it was one of the best BBQ meals I have ever had with an abundance of food being cooked over a long period of time, we were probably eating for three hours. A recommended eating establishment is the Restaurant Valparaiso on the Mijas road, spend a couple of hours in Mijas and on the way back you can call into this restaurant, book beforehand and make sure you pick a night when they have one of their floor shows on, the host and food is fantastic and the place is well worth a visit. Away from our local beach bar and only 1km away is the Restaurant Sheriff, lovely location where the children can play on the beach whilst the adults enjoy a glass of wine and some paella. Another quality place in a quality location that gave us all a quality holiday.

Wir waren mit 15 Erwachsenen für 1 Woche in der Villa. Sie ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen und könnte einen neuen Anstrich gebrauchen!Es gab kleine Schwerigkeiten mit der Kaffeemaschine und mit der Klimaanlage, die nicht behoben wurden, allerdings war es rundherum ein schöner Urlaub!

Goed huis voor een grote groep met alle gemakken!

Heerlijke woning, met alles aanwezig. We hebben ons alle prima vermaakt. Huis ligt langs een drukke weg, maar daar merk je helemaal niks van! De gastvrouw Selena kan je altijd bereiken en staat altijd voor je klaar als er iets is! Met een auto(huren) maakt het allemaal nog gemakkelijker om Marbella of Torremolinos etc. te bezoeken.

Jag, tillsatt med familj och vänner firade min födelsedag. Stort rymligt med plats för alla, och det kändes aldrig trångt. Härlig utomhusplats med pool med utrymme för alla och inte minst mellanvåningen med bar och biljardbord som uppskattades. Stor fin grill för gemensamma middagar.
