It’s close enough to town for convenience, yet far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside.
You’ll love the wide open spaces, rolling pastures, and the charm of our grazing horses and cattle. Many guests enjoy feeding the horses apples or carrots—just remember to use a flat palm and keep fingers down! Please don’t enter the pasture, and feel free to ask if you’d like a guided tour of the horses and stables—I’m happy to do so when available.

Thank you Laura! I am glad we were able to help you all secure last minute accommodations for your work crew on their trip! Thanks for keeping the place as you found it ! I’d be glad to have you all back whenever you plan to come to the area again!
We had a great time at the house thanks to the 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. It was clean and nicely appointed. Hosts were awesome! Will definitely stay here again!
A great space for family and friends to enjoy the country - convenient to hiking, bike trails, tubing at the springs, and Gainesville. Fun amenities inside and out - we fed the horses and played air hockey and ping pong. Truly something for everyone.
Our family had an absolutely lovely time at this property! As a family of five visiting the springs, we truly appreciated the space. It was wonderful to have room to relax, enjoy friendly games of ping pong and air hockey, and simply unwind on the porch swing with ice cream and the kids. A delightful bonus was being greeted by horses and cows just outside the fence each morning. Communication with the host was excellent and easy. We wholeheartedly recommend this charming home!
This was my husband's dream birthday. He received a liver transplant February 2024, and to be able to celebrate another birthday with him was a gift. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home.
We attended a wedding at the ranch. We were only 5 minutes from the venue. It was perfect. The house was very clean, communication was great, and it was very convenient for the wedding we attended at the ranch.
Great clean comfortable house with great hosts. We went for a UF graduation and it was about a 20 -25 minute drive to campus all thru back roads, it was awesome. Highly recommend if you want tranquility.
What a great week we had relaxing in the country at this quiet, peaceful and beautiful home. Robin was a great host. We were even invited next door to watch roping practice on a fun friday night. The home was very comfortable. We had everything we needed to grill and cook everyday.
Exactly what we were looking for. House was big enough for all 6 of us, with 3 full bathrooms. Clean, quiet, and affordable. Wood for a fire pit and plenty of stars to light up the night sky. Kids enjoyed the air hockey and ping pong while the adults enjoyed the quiet night and beautiful sky.
An older home that has been totally and tastefully remodeled with high end upgrades that made our wedding party extremely comfortable. It’s only minutes away to Valley View and Sante Fe River Ranch wedding venues. Highly recommended with many personal touches and the owners were extremely helpful and responsive to last minute questions we had.
This was our second stay at the Clark Farm and just like the first time it was fabulous. The house is exactly what you see in the pictures and the location is more tranquil and peaceful than you can imagine. While the kids were doing their thing, I spent most of my time sitting outside enjoying the view. Robin, Billy and their family are wonderful hosts. We are planning to return next year.
The Clark Farm property is lovely!
The Clark family is next door and very helpful. Robin and Billy have made a very comfortable, very clean rental in a beautiful country setting. The house very nicely furnished and includes all the necessities needed for a stay. The farm area is outstanding as are the Clark’s horses and Champ their beagle! My husband and I stayed for a month and wished we could have stayed longer. This property is exceptional.

It was an honor to have the opportunity to host you and your husband , and get the chance to talk and spend some time getting to know you guys. We would love to have you back in the future. Thanks for the great review !
The property was beautiful as well as the home itself. Very clean and tidy with all the essentials you need to cook. The outside cooking area was cozy and we really felt like we were home. Also, who doesn’t want to wake up to horses grazing every morning. We enjoyed getting to meet the owners and interact with the horses. If you are planning a trip to Gainesville, I highly recommend this home! We will be returning customer's in the near future. The owners give you your privacy but also encourage interaction. We absolutely loved our stay!
This property and hosts were above exceptional. The home was rented for 3 months and it was definitely a home away from home. The setting is very peaceful and relaxing. We looked forward to seeing horses and of course champ ( the farm dog) daily. The hosts are very accommodating and friendly. We felt very welcomed and never had a worry about anything during our stay. An approximate drive of 30 minutes to Gainesville for work, and back to the peaceful country setting after. Many attractions near by to see and visit. We had a very enjoyable visit and hope to return annually. Highly recommend this property. As a long time VRBO renter, the best hosts we have ever had! Thank you for all the hospitality!
I'm not sure my words will do this property justice. The minute we pulled in we were amazed at how green and beautiful everything was. We spent a lot of time outside just enjoying the scenery and petting the horses. The house was just as described, very comfortable and so were the beds.
The owners, Robin and Billy were so nice. We were there for New Years Eve and they invited us over for a get together. We had a great time.
If you're looking to take a step back and relax, this is the place. We will definitely be back.

We are glad that you and your family enjoyed your stay with us. We will look forward to hosting you all again!
I truly can’t say enough good things about this place. My family LOVED it. The house is super clean, well updated, comfy beds with such soft sheets that I actually checked the brand so I could buy some.
The location is stunning. You are really in the center of gorgeous farm country and the horses come up to the fence to greet you as soon as you wake up or come home. They are so friendly and there is even a cute foal.
The local river and springs were gorgeous, refreshing and entertaining.
It was a perfect getaway for my family who loves on the FL coast. It was like we went to a different state.
The owner was super accommodating and easy to work with. We had no issues what so ever and she went above and beyond to make our stay convenient for us.
Thank you so much for hosting us.

Would return to the Alachua farmhouse without hesitation
Property is clean and is as pictured. Hostess was excellent. The location is remote, as much as a half mile down a gravel road, then15 minutes or more to restaurants, gasoline, groceries, etc. Easy access to UF, either Interstate or secondary roads. We enjoyed the firepit, the horses, Champ the dog, and the sunsets. I was concerned that it may be a UF Football party house with the ping pong table and the air hockey table, but it shows no signs of being a party house. The bridal suite is a converted garage, nicely done, needs a bit more furniture and hangers/hooks for clothing, but can serve well as a separate BnB efficiency as is (which I'm guessing is the intent). I slept well on the trundle which has a foam mattress and was comfortable. The tap water is excellent, no sulphur, good for drinking and bathing. After a few nights here I began to understand the appeal of living in this part of Florida!

Thanks for your kind review Paul. I am glad you enjoyed your stay , and I would be glad to have you back in the future . Also, thank you for your recommendations!
Our favorite part of this trip was having the horses right outside our door. They are all really friendly but a few of them were particularly interested in us. Make sure to bring plenty of apples and carrots and they will be your best friends. We rab out by the second day and there aren't many stores around to buy more. Even without food, several of them came up to us any time we went to the fence and even followed our kids as they walked along the fence.
We loved being surrounded by pasture, hearing the cows across the street and a rooster in the distance. The ride in was a beautiful mix of pasture and forest. Nearby there are several springs to visit. We went to Ginnie Springs, which was huge but kind of pricey ($50). We weren't disappointed though because it was so beautiful and had lots to do. There's a cute, little downtown area on the way to Ginnie Springs, which had it not been for COVID we definitely would have enjoyed.
We also visited nearby San Felasco Hammock Preserve. It had a little picnic spot and great hiking. There are actually hills there, which we're not used to in Central Florida.
The house was cute and well maintained. The owners are right next door and very responsive to any issues that arise. We even got to see them training the horses one evening.
Overall, it was a fun, relaxing trip. Thank you for your hospitality!

Thanks Megan . We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay . We be glad to have you all back again if you are ever in the area!
Lovely place everything was great loved our stay. There is a couple of things that need attention in bathroom in hallway. Tub in bath was not the cleanest and toilet needs some work, nothing we couldn't live with just thought I would mention it. also new construction was being done that done away with garage on end of house ,a fact we did not find out until we arrived in Fla ,(glad it did not rain)
My husband and I were delighted to spend 5 days at the Clark's tranquil, cozy home. We traveled to FL for a family reunion which entailed numerous roundtrips from Orlando back to Gainesville, so having a peaceful home base was a huge gift!!
Robin was quick to respond to questions both beforehand and during our stay, and we felt very welcomed. Their home is just as described – warm, well-equipped and plenty spacious for a family. We loved having access to the washer & dryer, and although we didn’t get a chance to use them, we hope to take advantage of the ping-pong table and air hockey tables during a future visit.
My niece & I were overjoyed to get a chance to pet and feed carrots to their beautiful horses (especially “Little Joe”) – what a fun afternoon. Whenever we plan a trip to visit my husband’s side of the family, we will make sure to book way ahead so that we can call the Clark’s house our “home away from home!”
Property is located on a working farm so the location is just far enough from city life to enjoy the rural landscape, lovely oak trees, and open spaces. Patio with night lighting and working grill were a bonus.
