Comfortable windmill

Located at the top of a hill offering a 360 ° view of the Chalonnaise countryside and overlooking the vineyards, this old windmill, fully restored, awaits you for a unique and unforgettable stay! Original and rare, the building seduces both by its character and by its interior comfort. On 4 levels, the rooms, all round, are both functional and warm, thanks to the exposed stones and the wood.

Ground floor: kitchen with dining area and insert fireplace (oven, ceramic hob, fridge / freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, food processor, fondue and raclette set, etc.). On the 1st floor: living room with flat screen TV and 120cm sofa bed.
On the 2nd floor: shower room with WC, washing machine, hairdryer.
On the 3rd floor: bedroom with the most unusual "camembert" bed, and dressing room. The dimensions of this extraordinary bed are on the photo.
Land with orchard, garden furniture, barbecue, sunbathing, badmington ...

Weekend, mid-week and week rentals. Approved 3 ears Gîte de France.
All inclusive rates: bed linen, end of stay cleaning, heating (floor) and wood for the fireplace.
Baby equipment on request. Access to the mill by a dirt road for 400m.
"Full fridge" option: we collect your groceries from the drive, and fill the fridge before your arrival (extra € 30).

"Campfire" option: for a magical evening by the fireside, we take care of all the installation (suppl. 30 €).

We had a fabulous relaxing 2 weeks at ‘Moulin a vent’, with spectacular views. Great place for exploring the local countryside, whether on foot or bicycle. Very nice market at Chalon-sur-saône and Givry. Autun, Mâcon and Cormatin worth a visit.

We were so excited to stay in the windmill

Our experience was superb. The accommodation had everything we needed and more. The views from the bedroom were stunning and on one occasion we were able to witness the full arch of a rainbow. Check in was welcoming and the surrounding area lovely. Thank you for letting us stay. A real iconic moment.

Unique and lovely stay

What a unique and beautiful place was created by Stéphane and Yvane. The old windmill is transformed into a very comfortable and beautiful place, which was excellent for our stay in January. The gÎte was well equipped as well. The view from the property and of course from the mill is astonishing! Merci beaucoup!

The fabulous old mill.

We loved the area, the landscape, the villages, the atmosphere. We especially enjoyed the nifty rebuild old mill, the friendly welcome by our host, the view and the quitness. Still only 4 km from a great supermarket and 1 km from the village. Prepare for some walking on stairs and a rough gravel road the last 500 meters to the mill; we saw it as part of the charm!

The windmill is an exceptional place to stay. It is stunning in every way, so well designed. A lovely welcome with a tour. Lots of local information leaflets. Bed very comfortable, appliances very good, well equipped, plenty of hot water and a very good shower. Loads of outdoor space with plenty of seating and table space. Supermarket within walking distance (about 1km) a local boulangerie in the village. So much to do in the local area and for those interested excellent running and walking opportunities. We really loved our stay here and would definitely return.

Adorable windmill! Truly a treasure in the French countryside

Everything was impeccable! The windmill was perfect, so clean, so functionabke, very comfortable! The views were amazing and Stephane was helpful and so kind! His suggestions on where to go to eat, drink and sightsee made our trip even more fairytale perfect! It was a dream vacation. As a visitor for the US,we had very little trouble with naviagating through the countryside without knowing French.... when we needed help Stephene translated for us or had info at the Windmill in English to use as needed. The villages were quaint and welcoming— perfect!

Die Mühle ist einfach ein Traum. So wundervoll renoviert und eingerichtet. Der Ausblick so grandios. Wir waren 10 Tage dort bei wechselndem Wetter zwischen 12 und 28 Grad Celsius. In der Mühle war es immer traumhaft schön. Allerdings muss man bei 4 Zimmern auf 4 Etagen einiges an Treppen bewältigen. Das hält fit. Super freundliche Gastgeber. Tausend Dank, dass Ihr dieses Kleinod erschaffen habt!!

Gemütliche Mühle in idyllischer Umgebung

Wir hatten zu zweit einen sehr erholsamen Aufenthalt an einem ungewöhnlichen Ort. Der Vermieter ist sehr angenehm und hilfsbereit und die Umgebung lädt dazu ein, viel zu unternehmen. Man kann an der Mühle aber einfach auch nur ungestört entspannen.

Supercoole historische Windmühle, toller Rundumblick - Top!

Wir waren schonmal in der Windmühle und hatten den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.Völlige Alleinlage über den Weinbergen mit weitem Blick ins Tal der Saône bei guter Sicht bis zum Mont Blanc. Ruhige Abgeschiedenheit und doch nur 600m bis zum Ort St. Désert, 1 km zum Bäcker. Die letzten 400m sind ein Schotterweg. Von der Rückseite ist die Anfahrt mit beladenem Kleinwagen bequemer aber weniger schön. Liebevoll restauriertes historisches Gebäude, perfekt für Paare.Optimaler Ausgangsort zum Radfahren (MTB, Trekking, Race) sowie für Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Interessante Ziele gibt es reichlich. Wir sind begeistert!
