Five star host! House was extremely well provisioned and comfortable and about as real Alaska as you can get. Our second stay here and we will come back again next year.
Beautiful property and house. Host left fresh homemade cookies that looked like bear paws ! She was very friendly and responded promptly. Couple miles from town so quiet and secluded. Loved it ! Definitely recommend this house !
What a great property! The owners are wonderful. So much cool stuff to enjoy. The home was so awesome and had everything and more than we needed. If we travel back to the area we will stay again... Much longer!!
We only stayed one night but we wished it could have been longer! Beautifully decorated and stocked with anything you could ever imagine. Plenty of on site activities to keep you busy in the evenings or during the day when not exploring the area. Absolutely will be back!
It was perfect for our stay! Plenty of room for the 4 of us. And we really appreciated the supplies that Lona & Dean provided. The bears and other animals were perfect companions! Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if we are ever in the area. Everything was clean and they left cookies for us. They were great.

We had a small family reunion here and it worked out perfectly for us. Plenty of beds, and tremendous hosts!
We were too busy to use most of the outdoor cooking areas and games but plan on returning.

We stayed here for a week and had the most wonderful time. The house was everything we wanted, well stocked with the essentials. fire pit, horseshoes, bbq grill for outside activities. Super close to town but just far enough away to feel secluded.
Very interesting property and hosts. Really added to our time in Seward. Appreciated various recommendations including driving Nash road to Fourth of July Beach ... great for moose spotting. Loved staying here!
This was our second stay here and we will be back again. The house is clean, very well supplied, and in an awesome location. We had lots of fun outside playing cornhole and sitting in the sun. Great place and great hosts!
Property was very clean and came equipped with everything we needed. Communication with host was excellent. Hosts really put in the extra effort to make you feel at home and make sure you have everything you need. Great location, very close to town. You won't regret staying here!
This was an incredible property. There were 3 bedrooms which each had a queen bed. 3 couples (6 people) stayed very comfortably. There were two full bathrooms. The property was fully stocked. The owners live next door and came and visited when we checked in and they were very friendly and helpful. This was one of the best and most beautiful homes I've stayed in. Would 100% recommend to anyone else in the future.
This was the perfect place for our family of 6. (Parents and 4 adult children) It is a spacious, comfortable home with extra amenities of outdoor picnic patio, porch front and back, washer & dryer and more kitchen equipment than any VRBO we have ever stayed in. Convenient, quiet location easy to find. The hosts are the best part - helpful with information and tips about the area and lots of interesting stories about their time in Alaska. Highly recommend!!!
Stayed with our four grands. The stairs to the upstairs bedrooms were steep and scary for seniors. Kitchen a little rough but overall very warm, comfy and adventurous.
I have been a regular VRBO renters for years. This property ranked among the best of my list. Owners, Lona and Dean, are responsive to email messages before and during our stay. Very personable in person, provided all the answers about things around the local areas.
The property is meticulously clean, and attentive to details. The decorative (taxidermy) wildlife display in the living room is impressively beautiful. Everything we need was available.
The outside pavilion, BBQ grill, and firepit were great amenities. Plenty of space for everyone. Great location for nature lovers.
We had a wonderful time and will definitely choose this property for our next visit. Thank you, Lona and Dean, for sharing your beautiful home; we really appreciated your kindness.
We had a great time staying at the house. We were a group of 7 adults, ranging in age from 37-75.
Everyone really enjoyed the property. Plenty of room for all of us. We had a fire outside while playing cornhole and we sat around the kitchen/livingroom area and talked about our day while cooking dinner. The house has everything you could need for a weeks stay, including laundry.
We lucked out and saw a moose from the back porch!
The owners are super nice and quick to respond to any questions. Brought us cookies and fishing equipment and pointed us in the right direction to catch fish.
I would highly recommend this property if you are visiting the area. We've stayed in the city of Seward many times, but we definitely preferred this house over all of our previous trips. It feels very remote while still being close to town.
My wife, my son, his wife and I had a wonderful time at Lona and Dean's place. Was great to have a roomy home with two full bathrooms, a great room and a well stocked kitchen. We grilled and made a picnic lunch in the outdoor shared shelter / picnic area (very nice). Shared the shelter with the next door rental but there was no conflict to access. The location was convenient; just barely outside seward and super close to exit glacier road. Highly recommend. We met Lona and Dean who were helpful, friendly and super hosts.
During our stay we hiked exit glacier, lost lake trail, and Tonsina trail from Caines head to Lowell point. We kayaked Resurrection bay starting from Caines head and ending at Lowell point. We also took a all day boat tour starting from and returning to the port of Seward.
This rental was a great spot for all of that and a nice place to recover / just hang out for some recovery time.
