We had a great time in Seward. Thank you for sharing your home. Nice set up for a group, private bedrooms with bathrooms and space for group gatherings. Close to town and remote enough to be private.
Wonderful! Just the right size for two families with teenagers of mixed ages and genders. We loved the little touches that made our stay so comfortable. Booking and check-in couldn’t have been easier. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay immensely- check-in was fast and easy, and hosts were very communicative and hospitable. The kitchen was large enough to accommodate our party of 9, and comfortable for meals and games. Seward is a beautiful place and this place is no exception. Very clean and appreciated the separate bathrooms and rooms. Thank you!
Perfect place for our group. Loved firepit also. Wonderful hosts.
Thanks

Nice location, clean and comfortable.
What a gem! I stayed here with an addditional 5 adults. There was plenty of room for everyone. The owners were very helpful when we had questions or needed assistance.
Seward was our last stop on our 10 day vacation. The house was perfect for our group and very close to all of the waterfront activities. Brittny and Hill were excellent hosts. The 6 hour whale watching tour was the highlight of our entire trip.
My family of 5 stayed at this property for a couple of days after our cruise. Everyone got their own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was well-stocked and the living room had plenty of space to relax.
We loved it and can’t say enough good about it. The whole house was so perfect for our families. 5 adults 2 kids. Really enjoyed the large family room, kitchen and family dining table. Grill. Kids played on deck, and yard, campfire was nice. Eagles and nest could be seen thru our kitchen window and on our walk. Close to Seward. The smoked salmon, fish was an extra welcoming treat! Thanks so much Hill and Brittny. What a wonderful Family memory. We look forward to returning!
Easy to find, less than 10 minutes to harbor. House is very unique. Main section has one bedroom with two twin beds. Kitchen, living and dining area. Other two room are accessible from front porch. We thought kind of odd at first but was definitely a huge plus for sleeping. My wife and I stayed in main section and our kids retired to the other two rooms. Worked out perfect. The Norville's are amazing hosts. They live on the property but were like mice. We did not see them unless we wanted something. Great people. PS. IF YOU CAME TO SEWARD TO FISH/WHALE WATCH, GO WITH CAPTIAN HILL, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. We are already planning our next stay!

Thank you for your review and your business! I also thought it was an odd set up when my husband built it, but I’m glad it worked for you all!

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
The property owner stopped by twice with in the first hour to lay down the law on what was allowed in the house and make us park else where. We were having dinner, heard a knock and then the host just walked into the space we had rented, insisting to talk with us regarding a past problem and experience that they had previously with their prior guest and wanted, accusingly, to know if we had or were somehow doing the same! Secondly parking was very poor and that we were and had taken "their" parking spaces and would need to relocate our vehicles from their access and and parking spots/area......Hopefully they will learn that signage on doors and tables, along with prior to arrival communication are really worth their time. Also impromptu accusatory verbal beat downs that have nothing to do with us, but is of critical concern to the host will result in paying guests not selecting or using them again in the future.

Hello Jason and thank you for the business. Sorry for the inconveniences, but we just want to make sure the place is great for the next guests as well. To clarify, my wife asked someone to move the u-haul trailer. I (Hill) also kindly but firmly asked that none of the fishing gear, or fish cleaning supplies be in the house since someone just returned from dipnetting. I did knock on the door and after I entered half the group denied ever going dipnetting. I understand facts are hard to understand in todays culture. When you see coolers sitting out to dry and plugged into outlets on the porch (bear country) I figured I would check on the situation. Anyhow, sorry it did not go how you expected but fortunately there are lots of other lodging options available in Seward if you ever return. Once again thank you for spending your money in Seward and sorry for the bad experience.
Great place to stay plenty of room to relax we had six adults there for fishing charters it was very comfortable and private at the same time good location close to the dock
This property was perfect for our group of eight ladies. The large common area was perfect for meals. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of service wear. The outside fire pit was enjoyable for our night gathering. We would recommend this property for groups and large family gatherings.
Our family ( 2 parents and 4 adult/teen children) had enough space to spread out in three bedrooms. Plenty of room in dining area to eat together. The house was super clean and had everything we needed for a family vacation near Seward.
This was a perfect set up for our adult group of 6. We loved that everyone had their own room & bathroom and the private entrance to each room was a nice bonus. The cabin was very clean and Brittny was very responsive to all of our questions. Would highly recommend this spot just outside of the main area of Seward.
We bounced around the peninsula and of all the places we stayed this was the most comfortable and homey. The kitchen was amazing, the amount of beds and bathrooms was unrivaled, and the host was very accommodating.

About the host
Hosted by Hill & Brittny Norvell
Hello, and thank you for stopping in. In 2001, I loaded up my truck and drove from Texas to Alaska to be a guide for the summer. Little did I know I would meet my wife, Brittny, my first day in Alaska! She was also in Alaska from Idaho to work for the summer cleaning lodges.
After 2 years of summer work in Alaska, I decided to stop guiding in Port O'Connor, TX, and I sold my boat to live full time in Alaska. Before starting our business, I decided to serve a short stint in the US Army. After getting out of the Army, we started my business in Seward.
Our main focus is the fishing charter business, but we also have a beautiful B&B that we run.
My goal is for you to enjoy Alaska, this fabulous part of God's creation.
'Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.' (Proverbs 3:5-6, NKJV)
Why they chose this property
Our lodging is clean and comfortable. We treat you like the family. We are the owners, and we are onsite if you need anything.
Also, we have a beautiful creek across the road where you can walk and enjoy watching some bald eagles or just take in the amazing Alaskan scenery.
