House was amazing. Had a large group of friends stay and it was perfect. Plenty of beds and things to do. It is probably not quite worth the price, but otherwise amazing.
This was our group's 3rd annual visit to the Log House, and we have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves each time. The custom home is well appointed and beautifully furnished with seasonal decor that make for a warm welcome. There are various spaces for enjoying group activities or quiet time, a spacious gourmet kitchen that is well equipped, and the comfy, cozy bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms are a bonus. I have always enjoyed great communication with the host, and he makes the check-in/check-out process smooth and simple. The home is close to shopping, restaurants, wineries and distilleries, or it's the perfect spot to find your center, reconnect with others, and just enjoy the beautiful spaces.
I rented the Loghouse with a dozen friends and we had fantastic time. It is very comfortable and well equipped. Check in was painless and we particularly appreciated the simple check out. I'd absolutely recommend staying here and plan to do so again!
Had a great time with my family and friends. House was beautiful. Communication with property manager was easy and she was very helpful. Would def recommend !
My wife and I got married nearby and we and the wedding party stayed at the Log House for the weekend. Incredible place for a getaway with close friends. Spacious and modern interior, but still with a remote log cabin feel. Tons of outdoor space as well, along with two fully stocked kitchens. Only regret was not staying longer.
A large group of my friends all stayed here. The property is lovely and filled with activities (including a list of hiking trails) and both the beds and kitchen are fantastic. We were initially concerned about the solar power due to a heatwave but the AC stayed cool and the lights stayed on. Would absolutely stay here again.

Thanks for the great review. I think we've finally solved our power issues:)
Foreboding drive to property, but ……upon arrival it is like nirvana! What a joy for our five couples to each have a private bath and a half- bath for visitors. The game room …..forget about it! Bring food to cook in a fabulous kitchen which has everything you may need and I mean everything. Ice machine made plenty for our stay. Bring wine for the wine fridge even. This place has it all.
The house was perfect for our family get together. The house is in a beautiful location and it was so peaceful. Everyone in our group had a great time and we can't wait to go back there.
We were there during a heat wave of 90+ temps and the AC set at 74 was not a problem at all.
The house is spotless and Stewart was very helpful with any questions we had. Highly recommend this VRBO.

Thank you so much Lisa. Glad you enjoyed your stay :)
Our team of engineering leaders held a leadership teambuilding and strategy session at the house. It was a great location to enjoy the outdoors, prepare some great meals and align on our team's challenges. It was great to unwind at the end of the day by the fire and enjoy some friendly (I think you could call it that) competition on the shuffleboard and foosball tables.
Five night stay included 9 overnight and 2 day visitors.Activities included two hiking excursions to Sugarloaf.A cool and rainy day featured the great room fireplace. The sunny days had a half dozen in the swinging cocoons.Ping pong, corn hole, and bar shufffleboard were popular. The large kitchen table served 11 for dinner and dominos.Evenings had classic Redford movies. Some fixes:1.Kitchen chair with broken back2. Upstairs north bedroom shower door locks inadvertently3.Master BR shower has slow drain4. Downstairs BR south sliding door lock broken5. Coffee carafe has chipped lip6. Very few kitchen spoonsOverall, had a great time, worth the money.
My partner and I booked the house for a combined bachelor/bachelorette weekend with 20 friends and it was a blast. The location is perfect — secluded but only a few minutes from wineries and town. The house is amazing — spacious and comfortable with tons of games and amenities. We had both adults and an infant and everyone had everything they needed. We had no issues at all with the solar power and had plenty of electricity at all times. The only thing that may not be clear from the listing is that one wing of the house is a separate apartment that is booked separately so you might be sharing the property with other guests. This was not a problem at all for us and we hardly ever saw the other guests who were there (and who were very friendly) but just something to be aware of.
Short family getaway. Cool log home but we were disappointed that the outside area was not clean. We were also not allowed access to the thermostats which caused the house to get very warm due to up and down temperatures outside.
We booked the house as its location was central to all of the golf courses we were playing. The house was amazing - from the spacious kitchen, to the living and bedrooms, the downstairs game room, and the deck. There is plenty of stuff there to keep you busy.
Stewart was very responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommend this VRBO.
I booked this property for a short retreat with colleagues. Several staff stayed at the house and other stayed at a nearby hotel (as we don't force staff to share rooms). Communication with Stewart leading up to our retreat was helpful, easy, and consistent. The house is beautiful and just as it is described, though the photos cannot do the kitchen and beauty around the house justice!
Spacious--Lots of room to be together and also room for privacy.
Bedrooms were just right and we loved the extra bathrooms in the Den and Kitchen area. Lots of room for meals: the adults at the big table and the grandchildren loved their big table on the deck.
The basement was equiped with many items for gametime for the older grandchildren and the younger ones loved the variety of games and toys for them.
Some shortcomings: Air Conditioning less than ideal; Internet and WiFi spotty (occasionally had to go outside or up the road a ways to get a better signal); Flickering lights at times. But, note that you are cautioned about these matters in the online listing descriptions.
A positive: a rare problem with the water system was dealt with as quickly as possible and a generous refund provided.
This is a beautiful, spacious log house in a beautiful remote location. but yet only a few miles from I-270.
The property itself was nice. We had a great stay, we do think that it should be in the description that they won’t drop the temperature past 74 degrees. The house is solar powered and they don’t want you using the lights much or dropping the ac. Other than that it was a great stay.

Thanks for the positive comments. We will update our listing.
We believe 74 degrees is perfectly comfortable in the height of summer. The lights comment is odd. We have no problem with leaving whatever lights on. But yes this is an off grid solar powered home, so any effort to try and conserve energy is appreciated.
Our group of 12 educators met for a before school starts retreat to plan for the year. The house was amazing! Plenty of room to meet in a large group and for break out groups. The prep kitchen was a nice touch, with the oversize refrigerator and huge freezer. Great for our teams to cook our daily meals. The only down side of the rental was the internet and phone access, very spotty.
Really nice layout secluded and private nice modern touches with a resort feel.
Great room and good size kitchen is perfect for family bonding time. A bathroom in every room made us all raise our standards…we can now have it no other way.
