About this property

Carriage House at the Poolside Retreat, Peachland our mini resort

The fantabulous Poolside Retreat is located in a quiet area, surrounded by farmland, yet is within a 4-minute drive to the beach and downtown Peachland. The Parrot Sanctuary, children's playground and Wineries are only a short stroll away, plus there are beautiful hiking paths nearby. Our mini-resort offers POOLSIDE SUITE listing number 343741, or our detached CARRIAGE HOUSE, listed here, all set in delightful gardens, just steps away from our seasonal heated saltwater pool with diving board and easy access to our lawned outside games area with badminton/volleyball net. We also only allow paying guests to use our facilities for added safety for our guests and children.

Our detached 2 Bed CARRIAGE HOUSE is approx 100 ft away from the main house and located on the left as you come into our driveway. This is very popular with families and has its own private garden, is nearly 1,000 square feet, has a full kitchen with dishwasher, laundry, 2 bedrooms, one of which leads out onto the private patio with a path leading to the pool area. We welcome children of all ages, and toys, a crib, and a highchair are available. We also have a portable bed that fits into the 2nd twin bed for the 5th guest.

Our two-bedroom POOLSIDE SUITE is located on the lower floor of the main house where we live. The Suite is over 1,000 sq ft. and has two comfy bedrooms, a lounge area conveniently next to the bedrooms with a day bed, a media room with plasma-screen TV, and a kitchenette with breakfast bar, microwave, large toaster oven, fridge, and crockery. It also has a private entrance and patio with a barbecue and a path leading up to the pool area.

From a welcoming gift to daily updates on Peachland events, Gill was a great host! We were left to enjoy and relax her spectacular cottage, but any requests were responded to quickly. Can’t wait to visit again!

One word. Amazing.

This spot was perfect for our family. Easy to get around the area to see the sights - wineries, ice cream stands, farmers markets, beaches, and hiking trails. On the property, we made excellent use of the pool, the badminton net, and croquet set. We slept like babies at night and had tons of space inside to relax out of the hot sun when needed. All the little touches made sure we were as comfortable as possible. We are already planning out return. Thanks for hosting us!

Amazing stay, super location, lovely place

We really enjoyed our stay at Gill´s beautiful carriage house! Everything was exactly like on the pictures. It´s such a cozy home to stay in and all the people were super nice!! The neighbors also invited us to their home where we could try their delicious jam and buy loads of them :). Just around the corner, the next treat is not far which is the Hainle Winery where we stopped by for a wine tasting - so good!! :) Also, thanks so much Gill, for all the tips and information around Peachland! :)

We moved to Canada from London, Uk in 2009. After seeing Peachland we knew it would be a great place to open a Bed and Breakfast as it is so beautiful with 11 km of Beachfront lined with stores and restaurants all overlooking the lake. We really enjoy sharing our amenities, such as the pool and outside games area with the many families that stay.

Why they chose this property

Our neighborhood is semi-rural and peaceful, away from the traffic noise of Highway 97, yet only a few minute's drive to the lake. We enjoy cycling and hiking, both activities we can do straight from our door.

What makes this property unique

Our property is unique as we are the only accommodation in the area that has a legal stand-alone Carriage House ideal for families with a pool with a diving board and an outside games area, with beautiful mountain views.
