Home Truths: - Please note that this home is located on a bustling street, and guests may occasionally hear some traffic noise. - Please note that we do not provide firewood, you may want to bring your own. - We allow service animals at this home. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet. - The property has landscaping performed on Tuesdays between the hours of 9am and 1pm. - This home is located in a neighborhood with a strict noise ordinance policy and therefore is only suitable for quieter groups. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting this home, otherwise, if violations occur you may be subject to a fine that can reach up to $10,000. - Bookings must be made at least 24 hours before check-in. Same-day bookings are not permitted. - Absolutely no exterior amplified music is allowed. Violations will result in a $500 fine. - While we do our best to notify guests in advance, unannounced power outages may occur due to unexpected city maintenance. - No events are allowed unless pre-approved and coordinated through Avantstay. This includes but is not limited to: rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, birthday parties, and social gatherings. - All guests must comply with local laws regarding outdoor lighting, quiet hours, and limitations on parties or gatherings.
Parking Details: 2 vehicles can park in the garage. There also is a small driveway to fit a small car before the garage right off of La Jolla Blvd.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.
As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.
There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.
As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

We travel a lot. While the property is newly updated. There are some glitches. The garage is a on car garage. The opener has to be held at specific angle. The garage is not connected to the home so you need to unload and take your luggage down the access alley onto public street up the stairs, open the security gate and then into the home. The stairs could benefit from a hand rail. The cooling system works well in the back bedrooms but not in the main living spaces. With the large picture windows in the main space, it can get quite warm. We did not use the outdoor furniture since the chair had a large rip in the custom and an animal ( mouse) had created a nest under the cushions. In bathroom, there is a fly infestation in the tub drain. Last, though the property has the basics, it feels basic and the lack of convenient plugs to charge can be problematic when you are trying to work remote. We would not rent again.

We loved our stay at the Hamilton ll. Great location and plenty of space for a family of 4 + and SUV. The door code was also super convenient so we didn't have to worry about keys.

The house was great! It was clean and it had everything we needed for our family get away. It's also in a great location a few blocks from convenience stores, beach and beach side view restaurants. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit yo San Diego.

The house was spacious, well-equipped and clean (though it could have used better lighting for reading). Despite being located on the busiest road in La Jolla, it was always quiet inside. Downtown La Jolla is only a 10-minute walk. No human contact is involved in the transaction, but Avant Stay was very responsive when called.

The house was fabulous. Had everything we needed. Within walking distance of the beach where there were tidal pools to be explored by our children. There are some eateries within walking distance like a taco shop, bagel shop, etc. And within a short driving distance to the cove area. The house is on a blvd but the car noise was never an issue as it was not very loud. This house was great for a small family or a group of friends.

We were in town for family events and found this area central to our needs. Close to all highways and easy access to local eateries and stores. Perfect walking distance to the beach. It is on a busy street which was not an issue. The street sounds are minimal. It was really nice to have 2 parking spaces. It was raining the days we were at the rental so not able to use the outdoor spaces but would have been areas to enjoy.

Well designed home, great location
We enjoyed our stay at this home in La Jolla. Check in was extremely frustrating as the lock box did jot function properly and we were left trying to find someone who could help us get the maid’s key code (which didn’t work either) then ultimately find the spare key location and struggle with another lock box that was extremely rusted. Kitchen lacked supplies and many of the personal benefits of renting from VRBO, such as having local recommendations from the owner and condiments in the refrigerator, were lacking. It felt more like corporate housing. But we were comfortable for the week, the management company did work with us to get missing kitchen supplies and propane for the grill. Location is fantastic and having the garage was a bonus. Overall decent stay.

Loved the location. Bedrooms were a little rough around the edges, one of the upstairs patio chairs had a broken seat, no plugs for phones near bedside tables, outdoor lighting didn’t work so hard to see when we came in after dark. Had a hard time figuring out how to get our car in the garage when we checked in because all we were told was the garage code but there wasn’t a pin pad… eventually we figured out that the code is for a door on the backside of the garage, so you can go in that way and open the garage door from the inside, and there was a clicker inside the apartment we could use in the future. Would have been helpful to have a little more explanation of that in the check in instructions. But otherwise the location was fantastic and they had a nice kitchen and good furniture in the main living areas. Loved walking to the beach and downtown La Jolla for dinner every night.

Clean, perfect location, everything you could need
The property was very clean when we arrived, using the app and the information provided via email made check-in super easy. Also, having a concierge with the property was so, so helpful. We had no issues with the property, but they helped us out with booking a bonfire and were so responsive. The kitchen had plenty of serve ware, cook ware, utensils, coffee mugs and a coffee maker which was awesome. The bedrooms and bathrooms were a perfect size. Having laundry in the unit was also amazing, as well as an ironing board and iron. You can easily walk to the beach from the unit, and the unit has plenty of chairs and towels. You can easily get to restaurants, bars and coffee shops. The house is in a residential area, so besides the hum of street noise at night (the bedrooms are at the back of the house so it's very, very minimal) its quiet. We so appreciated the garage for parking our rental car (4-door Jeep fit without issue).

DO NOT STAY HERE, DISGUSTING, TERRIBLE HOST
I had a TERRIBLE experience with AvantStay and this home. We arrived to find the home in disgusting condition. Moldy garage, dirty washer and dryer, bathrooms and showers/tubs caked with gunk. We had to vacate after two days it was so bad. I obviously asked for a refund as the house was not in advertised condition. After waiting 5 days they denied my refund and refused to tell me the reason, despite supplying many pictures of the unacceptable house. I had to do a chargeback through my bank. These people are horrible DO NOT EVER RENT FROM AVANTSTAY.

Great location, use text for communciation
The house itself was great, some of the communication was rocky. I had questions about my rental agreement that went unanswered by the company over email for a week. However, after I tried texting, I got a response and received quick answers to all other questions I sent over text. The parking situation at the house was confusing, as the online listing said there was a driveway. There was one parking spot in the alley and one in a garage, so the number of spots was correct, and the description in the company's app was correct. Once we sorted out the parking, the rest of the stay went very well. The house was clean, the kitchen had good supplies, and we were overall very comfortable. Great location to walk through La Jolla or to the beach!
We did have one disabled family member who was unable to get up the stairs to the property without significant assistance because there is no hand rail. If the company could add a rail to the front steps it would make this property more accessible.

The host was very communicative and checked in frequently to see how our stay was going and if there was anything needed. The house was very clean, came stocked with coffee, coffee filters and tea and the beds were very comfortable. The off-street parking options was a bonus. Altough the house sits right off the main road, the traffic noise is not loud at all. The roof top deck was a great place to relax and unwind after an eventful day. We'll definitely plan to stay here again.
