Our stay was good. The location and views are great! I will say the condo was a little outdated and run down compared to the photos.

The spaces was dated. blinds wee brokens, some broken floor tiles, the master bedroom bath shower spout leaked reducing pressure. Carpeting was super old in master bedroom. Felt dirty and hard. Therefore we just rolled it up. The main entrance was the master bedroom. Super inconvenient. There was an elevator, we never used it becuae one of our guests had a phobia, but also went our to the front and our parking space was int he back. The parking space was awful. No place to turn and then upon descent, which could only be done backing out, the slope was too steep and then changed angles which caused the bottom of our vehicle to hit the driveway. Such a mess.The 3rd bedroom was pretty ridiculous. Only enough space for the pull out bed.On the good side, the kitchen was nice and the living space was ok. Good view of the ocean. Good location.

Wonderful Wedding Stay

We were in La Jolla for my son’s wedding. The condo has a gorgeous ocean view and is walking distance to so many places and the ocean. After a little glitch with street construction & someone in our parking spot when we arrived, everything went very smoothly and the hosts were very responsive. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

Fantastic stay

Location is amazing-walking distance to beach, restaurants, and shops. It had a well stocked kitchen, was clean and ready for us, and the property managers were responsive and helpful. It is a great place!

Amazing views and location

Wonderful stay for my brothers wedding. The views and parking were such a bonus. Walking distance to the beach, restaurants, everything! Thank you to the host for providing so many detailed instructions. Family of 6 truly enjoyed our beach stay.

Great location and communication with owners

This La Jolla apartment is in a great location - walkable to downtown, the tide pools, and a ton of great restaurants. There were 5 people staying in this apartment, and we had a comfortable stay, with plenty of communal space to hang out and enjoy the fabulous view. The owners were also proactively communicative and provided all the information we needed for our stay. I'd stay here again!

Great La Jolla Pad!

Great place & location! My 5-year-old & I walked down to the tide pools daily & she loved it. Walked to breakfast. Ocean view from the living room with panoramic view. (Just watch out for crazy drivers in the area!)

Great Location

Superb Location! Central to everything one would need. The communication before and after our stay was excellent and questions were answered promptly. The residence itself does need a few cosmetic touch ups but did not affect my family’s stay. We loved the view and the amount of space available. We would definitely recommend the location.

Lovely property in a great location!

We were in town for our daughter’s graduation from UCSD and chose this property for three adults. Each morning we enjoyed looking at the lovely ocean view as we had coffee and the beds were so comfortable. The location is perfect for walking to the beach or local shops and restaurants. There were some little maintenance issues that have been brought to the attention of the property managers. I would stay there again and will recommend it to any family and friends going to La Jolla.

Amazing views!

great stay in La Jolla for a family of five! The views did not disappoint. We could walk easily to the ocean and to dinner and entertainment. The condo has a great location. The building was quiet and safe. The property was clean, and enough space for a family of five. My kids loved the fish’s tank too. We would stay here again.

Great Location

As indicated in previous reviews, location is terrific. Wonderful views from living, dining and kitchen areas. Very walkable to oceanfront, beaches and downtown restaurants/shops — plus Contemporary Arts Museum. (Also don't miss El Pescador Fish Market/informal restaurant that is only a 5-minuite walk.) Large master bath and ensuite bathroom. Useful work area with desk. The property manager was nice to deal with. The negatives that don't outweigh the positives: Very small second bathroom; window that doesn't close completely in master bathroom; very small, charmless outside deck. In addition, the condo could benefit from some freshening-up — such as new shades in the master bedroom and painting. (The online photos look better than today's reality.)

Adequate & too many contractors

I was looking for something a bit special in La Jolla and this property did not do it for me. It has great ratings which is why we booked but it was not anything special. Three different contractors were there over the course of 5 days and the notifications came either day prior or day of. Too many people around, they kept parking in the unit parking space and were annoying to deal with. It was a hassle while on vacation - not a great fit for our family and wouldn't book again.

La Jolla Bliss

My husband, myself and my toddler stayed at this property in June of 2018. Aside from all of the obvious positives (the location, weather, view), we were pleased to discover all of the amenities in the property were top notch! The kitchen is stocked with every single thing you need (down to coffee filters, knife block, serving platters), and there are multiple sheets/towels, including large beach towels. In addition, there are multiple beach umbrellas, beach chairs, beach toys...you need not bring a thing! The property was clean and inviting, and my toddler loved the small aquarium. A small beach cove is a 3 minute walk from the driveway, and downtown La Jolla was about a 13 minute walk. Also, you can watch the beautiful sunset from the dining room table every single night! The few negatives we experienced was very loud noises from the apartment overhead; this property is currently for sale, and for the first 3 days/nights people walking in the apartment above, as well as running water, sliding closet doors, etc. could be heard as if in your own unit. Cleaning crews coming up and down the wooden/metal stairs along the back of the building shook the walls in the master bedroom. Thankfully this happened only the first few days we were on site and the rest of the week was quiet. However, if the 3rd level property were to be indefinitely inhabited, it would definitely cause a noise nuisance. (See reviews for the property on level 1 of this building for overhead noise complaints coming from this level 2 unit). If the noise had continued all week, I would not have rated this property as highly. If overhead noise doesn't bother you, then you really can't go wrong with this property! It is clean and beautiful, and in a highly desirable location.

Pretty views, nice location, but needs some tender love and care

My husband, son and I stayed for 4 days April. The neighborhood is very pretty and quiet (if that is what you are looking for). There is one parking spot and you climb one flight of stairs to get into the condo (it's on the 2nd floor). The view from the condo is pretty and the condo is within a short walk to the to the beach. Unfortunately the large picture windows with the view of the ocean do not open, so it gets quite warm in the afternoon even with the AC running, so we ended up closing the blinds most afternoons. The beds (king and queen ) were comfortable with nice quality of linens. We did not use the sleeper sofa in the den. I think it would be very tight to have two adults in there--better for 2 small children or one teenager. We just used it as a den. The kitchen was adequately appointed for a short visit and the dining room table and chairs were fine. The living room is very minimally furnished--1 black leather sofa which isn't very comfortable, an ottoman, and hard white plastic barstool like chairs. It wouldn't be comfortable if you had a family of 6 trying to watch a movie. We managed with just the 3 of us with one person on the floor. The condo is in need of some basic maintenance: 1) Smoke detectors--there do not seem to be any smoke/carbon monoxide detectors in the unit. They have all been removed (from hall, dining room, and 2 bedrooms). 2) Master shower--when you pull up on the valve to enable the shower mode only half the water goes to the shower head and the rest goes down the drain. Also, the shower head sprays out at random angles and needs replaced or serviced. 3) Kitchen sink--almost no hot water. Luke warm at best. Not good for washing dishes. 4) Hot pads--only 1 present. Kind of hard to cook with only 1. 5) No can opener. We had to go and buy one (so there is one now!). 6) Master bedroom bathroom window doesn't close all the way. 7) Light bulb in corner of living room is missing light--and looks like it is missing the socket for the light. 8) Fan in the hall bathroom is super loud--will probably wake the whole building. 9) Dishwasher--we had trouble getting the large plates to fit and for the dishwasher to do a good job cleaning. Perhaps user error but no real directions. Ran multiple cycles to end up handwashing. Anyway, we sent all these comments except # 8/9 to property management on day 2 of our visit, and the response was they would forward them to the owners for consideration.

The hosts were responsive and the condo view was amazing. Beds were very comfortable, even the pull out in the den. Walking distance to ocean and many of the restaurants and shops we frequented. Ample space in the living area to gather with our family and enjoy the magical sunsets.

We had a nice stay, and the unit was clean. The master bath I could not move the cold water so had to have help to shower. The views are great, but windows need cleaning. Fridge was stuck with icemaker and had to have our cousin fix. The parking was challenging for a large SUV as you can not turn around on bricks (neighbor told us). Otherwise it was a wonderful location, communication was great and beds were comfortable.

Grande déception

Appartement ancien et très mal isolé. Gros problème avec l'ascenseur, nos enfanfs et petits enfants sont restés bloqués pendant une demie heure avec intervention des pompiers l'hote étant incapable d'apporter la moindre assistance. Vaisselle insuffisante pour une famille. Les salles de bain sont très vielles, sale, et complètement dépassées. Le salon est très agréable avec une très belle vue. L'entrée de l'appartement se fait dans la master bedroom.

Great for a multi-generation family!

My family and I had a great experience at this rental! It had all the amenities we could need and everything worked well. The property managers were responsive to any support we needed throughout the booking process and while we were in the unit. We were able to access the beach and town with a short walk. We had a 18 month old with us, and she really enjoyed looking out the giant windows.

Does not quite meet expectations

Let me start with saying that the location is amazing. A block from some of the most beautiful beaches in La Jolla. Unfortunately, the condo lacks what I would consider an essential when you are at the beach - "AIR!" There is absolutely no air flow in the condo and the main room (living room, dinning room, kitchen), which is the staple of the premises, has only two small windows on the side of the room that actually open and neither offer any airflow whatsoever. You end up having to run the AC 24/7 and even that doesn't properly ventilate and cool down the main room. I literally had to go and purchase a fan, as none was provided by the owners. There balconies are for the most part irrelevant. They certainly don't add any air flow to the condo and are tucked away along the side of the building with no access to the front side of the property. The master bed sags on both sides. It is a Temperpedic type of bed, so you literally are unable to move from side to side once you sink into the two sunken positions on either side of the mattress. They do a good job making things look decent as the place is tastefully decorated, but if you are looking for a relaxing spot by the beach, this condo is not the one for you. The view is is amazing, but it almost seems fake, as you are locked indoors with no access to the amazing breeze and smell right outside your door.
