Wild Cedars - Cana Island - Lake Michigan - Amazing new home

Brand new house on Lake Michigan nestled in a cedar forest with great views of Cana Island from the shore.

Set in a beautiful wooded lot this unique 2,026 sq ft home will make you feel welcome. With covered decks, screen porch, natural wood burning stone fireplace with sunken seating, and accents of natural cedar with rustic charm and elegance.

Two bedrooms: One downstairs with queen bed and private deck looking out to Lake Michigan. The second upstairs with a king size bed. The first floor bedroom opens onto a private deck with great views of Lake Michigan.

The great room has huge picture windows looking out to the lake and a Panoramic door leading from the great room into the covered screen deck. A very comfortable king size sofa sleeper and armchairs are located in the great room to both take advantage of the view and enjoy the TV and BluRay player. There is also a game table in this room, a variety of board games, movies and books are available for your use. The great room also has a wood-burning fireplace with sunken seating area.

Overlooking the great room is a loft with a full size sofa-sleeper and seating looking out the front windows to the lake. Great place to sit, relax and read a book.

Off the great room is a dining room with table seating 8. The dining room also opens up to the screened deck area.

The kitchen is full equipped: Refrigerator/freezer with ice-maker, Gas range and electric oven, microwave and dishwasher. Coffee maker and other common small appliances are provided. The cabinet is stocked with typical staple items for your use.

There are two bathrooms: The first floor bathroom has a tub/shower and the upstairs bath a shower. Towels and washcloths are provided as well as travel shampoo and soap.

The host was great to work with and communicated well. The house is well appointed with everything you need and very clean. Easily can accommodate a larger group than the 3 of us with space for everyone. The property is fairly private with a firepit near the lake and chairs out by the lake. We all said we would stay here again. The only knock would be the memory foam mattress's and the pillows are not our preferred choice but not the end of the world. This home is a very nice place to stay.

Our fifth time staying here - beautiful home and setting in the woods by the lake. As much fun and relaxing to be on the porch and by the lake at the house as it is to explore Door County. Best of both worlds - highly recommended! Very comfortable, well equipped kitchen, and appreciate the responsive hosting.

Magical Door County Retreat!

We absolutely loved our stay in this secluded and well appointed home on the water. The home was so comfortable and we were mesmerized by the sounds of the waves. A perfect getaway for us to enjoy all of the wonderful hiking and trail running that the Door County Parks have to offer. The owners are very responsive and this home is extremely well appointed. We can’t wait to return!
